History

Established in 2009.

California Community Clinic for Acupuncture (CCCA) in Los Angeles (LA) was conceived with the Community Acupuncture model in mind in 2009, but quickly transitioned to providing intensive one-on-one care incorporating a range of modalities, encapsulated in the credo, «Providing a pointed approach to the whole person.»

The CCCA has successfully treated Lungs and Respiratory disorders including Asthma and Bronchitis. We offer an integrated approach to managing ENT infections, Herpes, Shingles, Dermatitis and Eczema.

Success begins with careful diagnosis involving digital meridian imaging, Japanese style palpation of the abdomen and spine, as well as tongue and pulse examination. Digital meridian imaging, added in 2013, provides an objective measure that both doctor and patient can reference for gauging therapeutic progress.

CCCA has expanded from its original model as a provider of Community Acupuncture to, in recent years, Auricular/Ear Acupuncture, and traditional Cupping.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I was in my first semester of law school when an unbelievable feeling of fire started flaring in my hands a month after receiving an MMR vaccine. Finding no relief from a prescription and being told that they’d have to «run tests,» little did I know I was walking from the university clinic and onto a six-year journey that would ultimately lead to becoming a doctor of Chinese medicine.

I had always had as many mixed feelings about alternative medicine as I had about the medical establishment. My mother has spent a lifetime negotiating both for chronic asthma. By my freshman year of high school in Fairfield, Iowa, a humble Transcendental Meditator, an acupuncturist from Guandong, China was making a real difference for her and he also become my primary doctor.

Such an upbringing, in addition to being named for a Chinese philosopher, primed me to be open to the universe of healing possibilities while judging them completely on their merits.
