Catholic Communication Toastmasters Club

Don’t let the name of the group: Catholic Communication Toast Masters, fool you! This is a very inclusive, supportive group who happens to be based out of Holy Family Church, and yes, have some Catholic members.
It is a small, diverse group ranging from competitive, experienced speakers, to new members who are looking to conquer their fear of public speaking. Whichever spectrum you fit in, you are most welcome. I joined a little over two months ago. I was in another TM group at a previous employer and enjoyed the experience, but having moved companies, was lucky enough to stumble upon this club. It is walking distance from my home and the hours work perfectly with my work schedule: they meet on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 730pm.
I found the members most welcome and very supportive. After all, we are all there to improve ourselves. Everyone wants you to be successful as they give you their feedback: both positive and areas to improve on!
For those who haven’t been in Toast Masters, there is a little bit of formality to it, because you are being trained on how to hold, facilitate and speak in front of an audience. However, you will always see smiling faces when it is your turn to be on stage.
