Food okay juts okay. Only 3 tables in a saturday noon time. That was a red flag. Server was extremely slow. Ladies at another time was complaining some strange things in her soup. yuck. I ordered a Pad See Yew. It’s $ 7.95 on menu. They charged me $ 8.95. When questioned, they explained the extra dollar was for beef. I checked the menu. It didn’t say beef is extra $ 1. It just say my choice of pork, beef, chicken. Waitress has to ask another guy in order to give me back $ 1. It’s not about the dollar. It’s about the way they do business. Will never go back again.

Might have been a very off day, but it was a pretty terrible experience. For starters, the menu had problems. As in, my dinner companion would be wondering aloud about certain dishes on the menu, and all I could see was a lunch special menu(at dinner time) and some curry dishes. As it turns out, we were both given halves of a menu, and the server didn’t bother telling us until we called him over and asked about the discrepancy; apparently, we had the one accurate menu in the restaurant at the moment and he wouldn’t be able to provide either of us with a full menu. Not a huge deal, just odd. Next, we discovered dried bits of food stuck to one of our forks. Delicious! They whisked it away and promptly gave us a clean one. Next, the food came out. Broccoli in the garlic chicken was stone cold. Random patches of the pad see ew were colder than others. Egg roll in the combo was stone cold. Rice that came with the combo had obviously been sitting in a cooker for a while; it was crunchy in portions. Broth in the tom khar kai was thin and somewhat bland. Food wasn’t bad overall, but as a wise lady once said, I didn’t want to lick my plate clean, and that made me very sad. (To their credit, we showed them the cold eggroll. Again it was whisked away to the kitchen, and without prompting, our server gave us a tasty dish of cream cheese wontons in compensation.) Finally, the food is on plates with raised centers. Makes you think you’re given a lot of food and you’re sadly mistaken. Just wasn’t super great.

The good: It was cheap. Papaya salad was nice — I only had a taste, but it wasn’t sugary and sweet like most I’ve had elsewhere. Cream cheese wontons were yummy(but they’re kind of a no-brainer.) I think they were somehow free with our order — that’s a plus. The meh: My chicken dish was pretty standard oyster sauce type. Ordered fried rice with it, got white rice — oh wellz, but the rice was a bit overdone and it was pretty generic/bland. Grilled prawns were overcooked, dry. It was a solid 2 star for me but I’m bein’ nice ’cause my gf said she’d order from there again — mostly because of papaya salad… I guess(?) She said about the prawns after eating the leftovers that it was burnt and dry tasting, but that is still good to her. Not so much for me… but it was cheap.

Tried the Spicy mint shrimp and chicken special. At $ 5.95, the price was right, but it was forgettable. Their menu is very seafood oriented, and it seemed weird for a Thai place to not mention the words«vegetarian» or «tofu» anywhere on the menu. The waitress suggested vegetable chow mien for my vegetarian friend, which he said was also bland but acceptable.
