LOVE this taco truck! My boyfriend and I always stop by after we’ve grabbed a drink at the neighboring bars. My favorite is the carne asada tacos while my boyfriend prefers the Al Pastor. There is never a long wait to get our food. Prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! :D

You want the pastor. They have a cone of it outside the truck because it deserves to be seen in all its glory. They do a great job finishing it on the grill to add some crunchy char.

Why does this truck not have more reviews? Best al pastor meat I’ve ever had. Tacos are $ 1.25 and servings/quality are consistenly great. The condiments bar has 4 different salsas, guac sauce, three different kinds of onions, cucumbers and much more. Their hawaiiana torta is to die for. Yummm

If I find another taco place with Pastor as good as this, I’ll also give it 5 stars. I’ve looked and so far this is my favorite.

The food is good. I stopped going there because it seemed like their prices would go up every week. I work around the corner from this truck… but I’d rather go all the way to la brea and venice for tacos

The carne tacos were really, really good. The pollo were dry as hell. The tacos were cheap, worthwhile, but I am not into the whole taco truck thing. The condiments being out, uncovered, with homeless people hovered over them taking giant piles of cucumbers makes me worry a bit. Service was pretty quick, seating was outside and pretty damn dirty. Again, another downside with taco trucks. I was kind enough to loan a homeless guy some money to help buy his gordita, and 4 others came out of the woodwork wanting handouts. Never again! My bad. I will be back if I am hungry enough.

My new favorite taco truck. This truck is now at Santa Monica and Vine in the gas station parking lot, but I think it used to be somewhere else. Parking is easy at the side of the gas station, or if you’re getting gas at the pump for a quick fix. They have a great selection of food and condiments to go with everything. Price was great, got a burrito and four tacos for $ 10 even. I like it better then Cactus Taco just a block away, and definitely better than the El Matador truck that everyone raves about.

At Santa Monica and Vine… in the gas station parking lot next door to 3 Clubs. I should give them another star just because they’re next door to 3 Clubs. As they say, location, location, location. They have bomb pastor tacos. Can’t go wrong with pastor that’s on a spit. Nicely charred pieces of marinated pork on a tortilla with a thin slice of pineapple on top. They have a big table full of condiments where you can add additional cilantro, onions, and a variety of hot sauce. Next time you’re at Santa Monica and Vine, grab a taco and quench your thirst at 3 Clubs… can’t go wrong.

I’ve been told in the past that I have the gift of gab, can be a loud mouth and that I talk too much so it is should be no surprise that I’ve been on the search for Lengua Tacos since moving to Los Angeles from Texas. Let me tell you, OMG, YUM! Chiquis is the first taco truck I’ve been able to hit up in LA and let me just say I am super happy they were my first experience. Lengua Tacos for those who may not know are beef tongue tacos. Before you get all squeamish, seriously give them a try. Chiquis did an amazing job seasoning and making the lengua super tender. To make it even better, they have a table of condiments you can choose from of various salsas and toppings and all are fresh and really delicious. And to top that, Chiquis sell Mexican Coca-Cola and Fanta along with many other fabulous. My homegirl and I sat under the tent and enjoyed the tacos. The Al Pastor tacos were delicious, but seriously, the Lengua is where it is at! I feel more loquacious already. :) And of course you know I can’t do a review without talking about the customer service. The guys that work this truck are super nice. I did not even know where to start when I walked up and just asked flat out if he had any lengua. He seriously took care of me right away and our food was done in no time. I seriously have no been this happy with a food truck since being totally off my face drunk in Munich eating a doner kebab sitting on the sidewalk wearing huge angel wings.

i don’t know where the chiquis truck was before, but they are now located on the corner of vine at santa monica, sandwiched between a mobile gas station and the three of clubs lounge next door. i’ve been here a few times in the past two weeks, and each time i fall more and more in love with them. they have a pretty big menu, but i always opt for the dollar tacos. my favorites so far are the chorizo, al pastor, barbacoa, and carnitas. oh my god, these tacos are delicious. it would take too long to describe each one individually, so i’ll just lump them all under the umbrella of «fucking fantastic». seriously, you’ll wish you had ordered more. even better, there is a picnic table in front of the chiquis truck, loaded with every condiment and accompaniment you can think of — a condiment bar if you will. there’s a tub of mild green sauce, a more fiery roasted red sauce, pico de gallo, cilantro, pickled red onions, pickled peppers and vegetables, grilled onions, freshly sliced radishes, rounds of cucumbers, an amazing creamy avocado/cilantro sauce, and a pan of roasted jalapenoes that will make you wish you were never born – they are THAT hot. next door is very underrated three of clubs, a lounge where you can hang with friends and have a drink that won’t cost you an arm or a leg. they are cool about letting you take your tacos in, so take advantage of it. seriously, i am not a food truck type person, am somewhat of a food snob, and i am in LOVE with chiquis tacos. give them a try. you won’t regret it(unless you have their roasted jalapeño of course).

I always see this taco truck on my drive home from work on Melrose Ave. It’s located at the lot of a car wash, so they use this space after the carwash closes every day. Unlike other taco trucks, this one actually sets up pop-up tents, tables and chairs for people to chill, relax and eat. There are ALWAYS people there. One day, I finally tried it. It is ONEOFTHEBESTTACOTRUCKSINTOWN! Not to mention the abundance of variety, these tacos, muletas and burritos are tasty. Stop by for a bite next time. Really, you won’t regret it.

Excellent tacos for a great price. Their Al Pastor is among the best I’ve had and their salsa bar is extensive and plentiful. Highly recommended!

Really tasty quality tacos at a reasonable price. Ya sure the flaming taco is open later but if you are on a budget you can’t miss here. The tacos are bigger tastier and cheaper. $ 6 bucks for six tacos of asada is a steal if you ask me. Frijoles de la olla were seasoned perfectly and tender. It’s hard to find good«homemade tasting«beans — Chiquis got em right. We will be back for more… Lets put it this way: my hun is 6’4 and tacos just don’t do the job… these did!!! Of course it took 6 of them! Next trip we will be trying the burros with a cup of champurrado mmmmmmmm! Another nice touch about Chiquis is that they have a few clean tables to sit at that are covered so rain or shine you will be fine.
