This man has been my doctor since I was 15 months old! He is an older Korean man so his humor is a little dry but he has always kept me on top of all my vaccinations. If there is a new vaccine that comes out, he gives an honest opinion on whether or not you should take it based on his other patients’ outcomes. He is extremely straight-forward, but takes account for all of the issues you are having. I will continue to keep him as my doctor for a long as I can. Side note, My mom is a registered nurse of California and she always agrees with his diagnosis. This is a really big statement due to her being hard headed and knowing a little something about medicine. A misdiagnosis would’ve severed our relationship, but I’ve been a patient for 18 years! I would definitely bring my kids in the future.

Dr. Choi is our new pediatrician. He is an older doctor and has been practicing medicinie for many many years. He was refferred to us by other people who had their children grown up by Dr. Choi. The good thing is he is very patient and is willing to answer a lot of questions. He also has experience and has seen a lot. He is also very«Korean» where he will prescribe meds where other doctors will not. If you are the type of parent who wants cures then this doc is def for you. Oh and he does give you lots of samples which I love! Anyways, we have had 3 visits here so far with our baby and we are happy.

No. Just… no. The long and the short of it is that his visits are height, weight, look in baby’s ears, here’s some formula, bye. No talking with us about what to expect, things we should do for baby, what our baby’s developmental track is looking like. Nothing. He’s an RN getting paid to be an MD.

Flashback to high school… Mom: With the cold everyone is getting, I guess she caught it too. She said it is hard to breathe and her cough sounds really bad… Me: *meekly nods head* Dr.Choi: Ok… let’s take a listen(Takes stethoscope and listens) Mom: So how is she? Dr.Choi: Ah~! It’s nothing much… Just a little cold. (Looks @ me) You were just faking it so you don’t have to go to school today, huh? Me:(In my head) WTF… Next morning, breathing gets really hard to do… Goes to ER ER Dr.: Jenny, you have severe bronchitis. You are gonna have to use an inhaler for the next few days and stop sports for a little bit. Me:(In my head) ARGH!!! WTF!!! Nothing my ass… even to this day, when my mom mentions she is taking my brother or sister to him, I give her the evil glare.

Dr. Choi was recommended to us by the Dr. who delivered our baby, and when we spoke to him he seemed like a reasonable Dr. Unfortunately over the course of a few visits we discovered that his answer to every question we had was to give our baby formula(at the time we were switching her to breastfeeding after having a rough go at the hospital due to a different pediatrician butting in). He would always take us into his office after the exam and give us lots of formula samples. While that is nice if you want to feed your baby formula it seemed really inappropriate after a while given the advice he was giving. We almost wondered if he was a paid spokesman for formula.
