Fav spot on my LA long Layovers! Their homemade tequila is amazingly smooth love the Blanco and Repasado! They are Super friendly and make the best craft cocktails! Also the food is delicious love the tacos and homemade chips and guac!

Noisy, but really a great bar. Very good menus of beers and spirits, even single malts. Very tasty Mexicali food. The fish tacos are actually excellent. Very good tortilla soup as well.

Came here with coworkers for their $ 1 tacos during happy hour. My colleague raves about their tacos. I had to see if they lived up to the hype. Great little modern hipster place that serves a variety of Mexican inspired dishes. A little more Americanized. My colleague mentioned that they’re known for their tequila drinks. The tacos were okay. I liked the chicken tacos. The beef tacos were a little too gamey for me. Two of my other colleagues ordered the churros and loved it! Their dishes came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. This is one of the few places where I’ve seen large bottles of Mexican beer. One person in our party ordered a Pacifico not knowing she was getting a 32 oz. She gave me the giant bottle because she couldn’t finish it and being the good friend I am, I couldn’t say no. I had to help my friend in need. She was in trouble and I happily answered her call. All in all, they have good happy hour prices, but nothing really spectacular. I had one mixed drink I did not like that had vanilla in it. I don’t remember the name. I took one sip and gave it away. It was a little hard to hear my colleagues talk because it gets noisy in there. People were watching sports on several screens in the bar. Parking is extremely limited, but there is also free street parking. We all had fun. I probably wouldn’t drive out of my way to come here though.

I get that they were tying to do some«up-scale-ie» version of mexican food but there is a limit. I got excited when I saw queso fundido on the menu and what showed up at the table was something that resembled kraft microwave cheese dip. The service was good and the mini tacos were good but the dishes that separate the mexican restaurants from the taco shops were disappointing.

Can’t beat the $ 1 #happy Hour street tacos. Awesome atmosphere. Great craft beer selection and cocktails

One star is being kind… this over pretentious, over priced overrated place slaps ur night out in the face. I don’t know who is worse, your fellow patrons your forced to sit with at the ‘fun’ community tables or the staff you are imposing on for service. CINCO roaches in the bathroom scurrying past my feet… good thing it’s adjacent to the kitchen… place should be called uno.

Really hip, modern ambience in Westchester definitely taking advantage of two local colleges in the area. My coworkers and I went and got stuff off the happy hour menu. They even had $ 1 tacos which were pretty good. We got two of each meats as well as some chips and guac and the special, Tamale Tuesday. My complaints, on a regular day the menu is quite expensive for what you’re getting. I get it, its more a bar than a sit down place, but seems you have to pay for everything; the chips and guac were around six bucks! The food itself was good for mexican. The spicy tamale wasnt as full as the tamales I’m used to eating, but it did pack a spicy kick so beware.

After having a big breakfast and big lunch, a nice, small salad was all I really needed for dinner, so I popped into Cinco restaurant, just round the corner from my hotel, and ordered their Ensalada de Cinco. When it came out I did a little bit of a shocked face, because this salad was legit BIGGERTHANMYHEAD. Yeah, still wasn’t used to those American portion sizes. However, I’m actually pretty glad as it was really tasty. Grilled chicken, crispy romaine lettuce, black beans, sweetcorn, avocado, pico de gallo salsa and cheese in an amazing creamy jalapeño sauce. It was topped off by thin, crispy tortilla chips and I managed to finish the entire thing, it was THAT good. The restaurant’s only letdown was that it was pretty dark and very noisy, so not the best place to visit if you’re looking for quiet conversation. But as I was dining solo, it was actually kinda fine with me. The service was great, with friendly staff and speedy delivery of my food and drinks.

I really want to like this place, but as many other reviews have said previously, the service is not great. If I’m going to pay $ 10 for a margarita, I’d like to know that I’m going to get it within 5 minutes, not 20. Every time I have come here with a group, getting the bill has been a disaster. We have either waited 30 – 40 minutes past finishing our meals to get it or our waitress has disappeared, resulting in us flagging down a different server to see if they could bring it to us. The drinks are fine, the food is fine, but there are many other great Mexican restaurants in the area where you can find all of those things AND great service.

This place was pretty cool to experience. I do have to admit it is extremely loud and very hard to to hold a conversation without say«what» every two seconds! Lol Our waitress was cool in the beginning and then when it came to closing time she turned really nasty and rude. I understand you want to go home, but when the place doesn’t close for another 30 min, please don’t tell us to hurry up with our drinks! Literally every 10 min that passed she came by and told us to hurry with our drinks because it’s closing time. 1. We heard you the first time. 2. We weren’t being rude or being those annoying drunk people for you to be rude to. 3. Calm your tits!(Yup I said it) she pretty much ruined the experience for us towards the end. Food was delicious and packed with flavor! I ordered the chicken enchiladas and my fiancé ordered the ahi tacos. Both dishes were excellent! The drinks were amazing too! I very much enjoyed the food, the décor, and the drinks! If we had a different waitress I would’ve given this place 5 stars!

I felt compelled to write a review because I think this place deserves to have four full stars and be in the red vs orange. LA people are so hard to please. Love this place, as evident by my nine check ins. It gets really loud and crowded during their amazing happy hour but guess we couldn’t keep it a secret for long. Trying their brunch for the first time today and am really loving their iced coffee with horchata and other deliciousness. I couldn’t believe that someone complained about portions being too big. Really? That’s how places like Playa’s Pita and Cinco justify their prices. Great food, bigger portions, and the price is justified if you divide it by the two or three meals that you will get out of it. Bottom line is, they have the most amazing happy hour, open and bright environment, extensive beer selection and good food. Not sure what else you’d want in a place. Just go on off hours to avoid the crowd and brunch is super mellow.

I finally dined in on Saturday night and I now understand why this place is only 3 ½ stars. There was a college basketball playing on the TV’s and the sound was horrible. The TV speakers were cranked up instead of being routed to the proper loud speakers. Also, the service was a bit slow. The waitress was nice but slow. Previously my experience was only take out orders. Each time my order was accurate and quick. For the food: The carne asada tacos are good with green sauce and they are not stingy with the meat. I ordered chicken fajitas, light oil, no salt and the dish still had good flavor. The ceviche was fresh and delicious. It is a mix of fish and shrimp and the cucumbers add a nice crunch. Chicken enchiladas are also good. chicken quesadillas get a big thumbs up. They use cut chicken instead of shredded. I like the food. It is Mexican food but more from the Oaxaca region so the flavor will differ from other California Mexican restaurants.

Solid Mexican restaurant with a diverse drink and beer selection(16 or so taps). The mexican mule on tap is absolutely worth trying as well as their Micheladas. The place is large but still gets pretty crowded so come before you are hungry and grab a drink while you wait. I came here twice on a weekend visit to LA. First up was their chicken mole, which is a really tough dish to do well and they excel at. The second time I came here happy hour, our group had three cocktails, a beer, 7 tacos, nachos and a burrito and the total was around $ 50, now that’s what I call a good value happy hour.

This review is for dinner and dinner only. I have never been for other meals so I can’t comment on that. My boyfriend and I had dinner here last weekend and were not impressed. No wait for a table which was nice, but the service was slow. Took a while to even get our order in and then they forgot about our drinks. The entrees are overpriced too. I had the fish tacos and found them very mediocre and over the top. My boyfriend got the pork ribs in salsa rosa. Not the best. And their portions reminded me of Chevys… way too big. Their brunch prices seem much better and I would consider trying that, but will not be going back for dinner again.

Verdict: Cool place to hang out. I was visiting from out out of town and my friend brought me here during happy hour. No wait at 5pm on a Thursday. For the price, the food was good($ 1 tacos and $ 6 cocktails). Bathrooms had a really pleasant scent. My only regret was getting guac on the side($ 5 for a super small amount). Otherwise the décor is nice and it seems like it would be a cool place to hang out with friends, meet people, watch sports games, etc.
