City Business Services & Shipping was founded in 1995 by Peter Adeli. City Business was his senior thesis for the entrepreneur program at the USC, The University of Southern California. From day one our philosophy was to create a convienent location for small businesses to conduct business. We strive to smoothen the transportation process for the business owner. With all the responsibility a business owner already has, we take the thinking and mistakes out of Shipping. CBS has created a niche service of collecting multiple shipments from various vendors and consolidating freight has saved our Clients thousands of dollars on shipping expenses. I typically come here to drop off things I have to return to
so I already have the paid shipping label and I don’t have to buy anything when I’m in the store, but they are still super helpful. They let me use their shipping tape and sometimes even tape my package for me. They usually have free cookies too! How is it possible that I’m not spending any money there and they are still so nice?!

Took my UPS package here to drop it off, and since it was a store return, I needed to get a receipt. The guy running the store refused to give me one, and the place looked sketchy enough for me not to trust it without one. Won’t be venturing over there again.

This place is AMAZING. I called around to a few places in the area, and right off the bat the employee that answered the phone was the nicest and most knowledgable of anyone I spoke to.
I came in with a huge amount of valuable items (speakers, microphones, etc) that I needed shipped cross country, and they packed it all very quickly, efficiently, and most importantly, safely! The cost of labor was quite cheap too, considering how much they had to do.
Everyone there was very friendly and willing to go over with me the details of how the packing and shipping would be done. It felt like a group of friends doing the work, and the happiness of the environment was equalled only by the skill involved.
I will absolutely return to City Business for my packing and shipping needs, and I’ll be excited to do so!
P. S. They can make custom boxes to fit whatever you need! I had a bass guitar with no case that they wrapped up and put in a custom box without a problem. Very very handy for large or oddly shaped items!

Richard notarized my documents and sent them off quickly and easily. It was a little more expensive shipping UPS Ground than USPS Priority, but for convenience sakes, it was fine. Place looks roomy and clean enough for a shipping facility.

This is by far the best shipping company I have ever used. They give you shipping quotes in seconds on the phone or you can do it via email too. They use UPS and other major shipping companies but give the customer a huge discount compared to dealing direct with them.
I’ve sent many large, fragile packages with city business and they’ve always arrived on time and in perfect condition.

this was my first experience ever sending something out internationally. Took longer than expected, but with the patience we got the job done and my emergency package was able to be sent out. too bad there is only one rate for sending things internationally and since it was an emergency i had to spend the $ 79 to ship out a package less than 1 lb to vietnam.
