Clinica Medica San Miguel

It is important to note that this is a 24hr URGENT CARE NOT an EMERGENCY ROOM.
With that said, I’ve had to come to this facility three times. The first time, I came because my father was having blood pressure problems. It was around 11pm and when we entered, we just had to fill out some forms, and he we waited around 15 – 20 minutes until they called him in. From there, they took his basic measurements and had him wait in a patient room. There we probably waited around another 10 minutes and we saw the doctor. The staff was not the friendliest, but they were quick to get my father through the process. They were helpful and knew what they were talking about.
The second time I came here was actually because I had a fever of 101.2, I was having a hard time breathing, my left arm had fallen asleep, and I could barely walk. We got to the clinic around 10am on a Saturday, processed the paperwork, and the initial exams such as blood test, fever, weight, etc. Within the half hour, I was sitting in a patient talking to the doctor. He immediately sent me to get all sorts of tests done, but first, he clarified the procedures and the price, before they started. I really appreciated that because I wasn’t blindsided at the end when I was at the cashier booth. Finally, about an hour and a half of tests and injections later, I was walking out feeling so much better, and with medication in my hand. I really appreciated the fact that they were able to prescribe me and give me the medication I needed there, and I didn’t need to stop by a pharmacy. Throughout all the exams, the staff very friendly. When I was told about all the tests that had to be run, because they believed I had an upper respiratory infection, I began to cry. Now, its important to note, that I was basically delirious because of the fever, feeling extremely sick and weak, and for some reason when they told me that, I couldn’t stop crying. However, the nurse came up to me and gave me a hug, and starting helping me with breathing exercise so that I would calm down. The doctor then came in and started telling me that I needed to stay strong and that he was going to figure out what was going on. That really reassured me and reminded me that I was in great hands. Later, when they were giving me antibiotic injections, that nurse was extremely funny. She talked to me through it, and made sure I was comfortable and that I knew I’d be alright. Finally, they drew my blood and the nurse that helped me was extremely hilarious! He was the the one who initially took my information, and told me that in the hour that had passed since he had last seen me, I already looked so much better and wanted to know what the doctor told me. He then proceed to draw blood, which made me nervous, but he began to tell me a funny story, and before I knew he had already drawn my blood. Overall, the customer service was good. It wasn’t the best, but they were personable and they made sure they helped as much as they could. I really appreciated their patience with me as I was freaking out, thinking I was going to die from an upper respiratory track infection. At the end, they told me to come back for a free follow up appointment in a couple of days, so that they could review all of my exams and tell me what exactly was wrong. I told them if i should make an appointment and they said no, because it was a 24 hr walk-​in clinic. I loved that I could pass by at my leisure and not worry about missing my appointment or having to move appointments around. The following Monday, I showed up for my free check-​up appointment. I arrived around noon and again within 20 – 30 minutes, I was in a patient room speaking the doctor. I did have to wait a bit because the doctor who originally helped me had not come in for his shift yet, and I had to specifically have the check-​up with him to make sure I was doing better and because he had initially treated and knew what was going on.
The last thing I would like to note and the reason I gave only four stars instead of five, is that the facility is not in the greatest condition. However, it is CLEAN but it is also run down. The waiting room has wooden floors that are starting to pop-​up and they taped them down with a hot pink tape. The doctor chairs in the rooms were worn down, but the patient bed and seat seemed more than fine. The place is sanitary but it sure could use a little TLC. Overall, I had a great experience because not only did they help me, but they also helped my father and their service was quick and effective! I’m a very satisfied client, and definitely will be coming back to avoid those terrible E.R. bills, and just for simple check-​ups.

This clinic has the worst Customer Service ever!
I am very disappointed with their scheduling/​service.
The last time I was there I paid cash for the consultation And exams of close to $ 600.00, I was told to return to check my exams. I went back to check on the results but apparently no one knew why I was there… They didn’t know why I was there, then they transferred me to a doctor to go over the results, before leaving a front office nurse told me to call in for a future appointment to see a surgeon due to my lipoma, when I called (a few days after my results appmt) the rep said I would be called back with an appointment to see the surgeon… I waited for 15 –20days. I explained my situation to another person who answered, she then scheduled me for 7÷28÷15, NOW TODAY ⁷⁄₂₇ I get a voice mail where I’m told that the surgeon won’t be in! And that I would have to go in until Next Month ⁸⁄₂₅! Is this a joke! I am very upset with the process of handling… Now the money I paid won’t be returned and I need to look for another clinic. I wish the service was better handled… I need surgery and don’t have insurance, I don’t work so it’s really hard for me to pay all at once but I was willing to gather all the money for said surgery… I was recommended here, I sure will not be recommending to anyone.

worst clinic around just got back from there and they wanted to charge my wife $ 70 for visit and medicine, my wife asked for the prescription instead since they overcharge for meds and the doctor kimbo mambo said that all of a sudden he does not see pregnant patients and he refused to give my wifw the prescription! dont waste your time like us… wasted 3 hours of my life…

Please avoid coming here they lie too you I get there and I ask how long is the wait they said it’s only one hour wait ok I’ll go with that I was literally here for 4 hours waiting every hour I had a different story there not straight up with you a bunch of lies of your willing to wait all day for a doctor visit then come here don’t believe the girls with there blue uniforms there not straight forward avoid this place …

So here I am trying to get seen by a doctor for an ear infection instead of going to an emergency room because according to their commercials they have urgent care. Yeah right!!! They told me that I need to get an appointment for the next day… but oops… hold on they don’t know what doctor is going to be here the next day so they can’t give me an appointment they have to check who’s coming the next day. They are so disorganized I might as well had gone to an emergency room intend of going in circles with this people. The funny thing is that while I waited for my appointment I kept watching their commercial on t THE ONE THAT ANNOUNCES THEIR URGENT CARE!!! THE ONE THAT SAYS I’LL GET SEEN BY A DOC IN 15 MIN. It drives me crazy… by the way I’m not planning on coming to the appnmt I’m going to the ER.

This is the worst facility I have ever been to.

Just FYI, I’m currently sitting in the waiting room writing this review because that’s how long it fucking takes to be seen in this god awful place.
I’ve been here since 12:10pm. It is currently 3 pm and they told me the doctor was going to see me at 2:30.
The facility itself is disgusting (dirty) and the staff is full of incompetent and rude workers. No one genuinely cares about you here. DO NOT give this facility service unless you enjoy wasting a significant amount of time and being disrespected and brushed aside on multiple occasions.
I repeat. DO NOT COME HERE.

Wait time is always usually awful. Big tall black guy with an attitude needs to check it at the door.

Horrible place. I went in needing to refill a prescription and was trapped for 2 hours and had to deal with a doctor that refused to listen to me. The entire place is dirty. There is graffiti in their bathroom and stains on the floors. They had me do full blood work and then ignored what i said i needed and prescribed the wrong thing. All doctors are not created equal. I will never go here again.

What a horrible excuse for a hospital, my grandma goes here due to not having medical insurance. I sadly lost my insurance as well on my 26^th birthday. I had issues with my ears due to swimmers ear and I had a bad case of blockage. Frustrated with my situation I had no where to turn so I decided to go to this hospital as a last resort. My grandma warned me about this place but I thought why not give it a try I’m desperate. I showed up around 9am and the parking is on the side of the building which is pretty big so finding a parking spot shouldn’t be an issue. The parking in this place is probably the best thing about it. I walked in the receptionist was very rude and dismissive but so is everyone else who works there. I explained that I was a first time patient and I had no insurance. I filled out the paperwork and took a seat and started the waiting game. I was called up by a nurse which she also seemed to hate her job, and was screened for all the basic information like weight, height, and blood pressure. She mentioned I had high blood pressure but didn’t tell me how high but only said it’s a «little» high. I used to go to Kaiser Permanente and they told me the same thing but they would always tell me the numbers and that’s about it. The nurse at San Miguel quickly started asking me about high blood pressure medication and insinuating that I needed it which I found very odd. So back I went to the waiting room once again to stare at their Dynex HDTV which is running over the air transmission and cuts out every single second. Anyway another nurse calls my name she was light skinned and had blonde dyed hair. She was also not very nice and she walked me into a room and told me to wait for the doctor. The picture of the dirty sink was uploaded by me that was how the sink looked in my waiting room. It was very disgusting and dirty and I really started to question myself. I kind of felt like running out and saying screw this but I was in need and I knew I already owed the $ 20 mandatory visit fee. I decided to stay and wait for the doctor which seemed like forever. 45 minutes passed and no one showed up to my room. I walked outside because I could hear the nurses laughing and chit chatting so I finally asked them what was going on and why the long wait. One of the nurses quickly said oh you’re next don’t worry. I would say about 3 minutes later the doctor shows up. A chubby, bald, middle eastern guy with attitude. He walks in and the first words out of his mouth were «what’s the problem?» So I went ahead and explained about my ear issue which he didn’t seem to take much interest in. He looked into my ears and said yes there’s some build up we will clean it out. That was all he really said about my ears, then he really started focusing on pushing these high blood pressure pills on me. He said he wanted to prescribe me some, and I know my grandma takes these as well but I have no idea what they do or what they contain in them. I explained to him that I recently went to Kaiser and that they never mentioned anything about high blood pressure medication. He then said oh well that they don’t usually prescribe it on the first time visit but that he wanted to see if it helped me in some way. He said he just wanted to «try it out» that maybe I would feel better. I just nodded and said okay so he sends in the nurse to run down what the treatment and prices will be. The same rude and dismissive girl from the front desk walks in with a clip board and starts telling me what they want to give me. She starts by saying that I need anti biotic pills, anti biotic shot, high blood pressure pills and of course an ear cleaning. I say okay and ask her now much would all of this be? She says $ 300 and I was completely blown away. That’s way too much money for what I came in there for. All I wanted was an ear cleaning. I started asking her why do I need the shot for if I’m getting pills and she just states that it acts faster, but I explain to her then what’s the purpose of giving me the pills then? So she says okay I can take off the shot and just give you the anti biotic pills because the shot itself is $ 100. I say okay and well I also didn’t want the high blood pressure pills, I just wanted an ear cleaning and the anti biotic pills. She says okay then that would be $ 170 which I found still to be a little steep. I’ve had ear cleaning procedures performed on me before and it’s not that hard. I decided to decline everything and I just paid the $ 20 office visit. I headed over to CVS and bought a $ 9 ear cleaning tool and my father performed the procedure at home. My ears are fine now and I saved myself a $ 170 disappointment. I’m still a little mad about wasting 2 hours of my time and $ 20 at this horrible excuse of a hospital. Please people I know that when you’re hurting and desperate you’ll do just about anything but avoid yourself more pain and suffering and avoid this horrible excuse of a hospital.

About two weeks ago, I woke up in the middle of the night with searing pain having pulled a muscle between my left neck and shoulder. After googling my address and the word «urgent care» and finding nothing open but the ER, I went to the 7 – 11 to buy a sleep aid. I wouldn’t even be seen if I went to the ER and I had to work in the morning. The lady at the counter told me about this place. It is open 24 – 7 and the area is somewhat sketch, but my entire bill was $ 65, versus, the last time I went to an urgent care and my insurance didn’t cover everything and I wound up with a 300 $ bill. Yes it’s a little dingy but they only charge 20 bucks to see a doctor. So to fill my prescriptions, and see a doctor, my total cost was the normal cost of my out-​of-​network co-​pay plus 5 bucks. This makes me feel that it is a good value for people in the area who might need a doctor in an emergency. I would recommend them for urgent care if price is more important than how new the furniture in the waiting room is.
