Worst coffee bean and tea leaf ever. I asked the barista for easy on ice, but I ended up getting a cup of iced coffee, full of ice. Coffee tastes like water.

I had the most irritating experience at this coffee bean. the employees were laughing and goofing around letting the customers wait… I didn’t stick around and went to Starbucks… these employees at this coffee bean don’t deserve even minimum wage…

Worst service from the Barista, quality and Winter Dream Tea Latte tastes like a hot water with Coffeemate powder without any taste. Not even worth a Star. Beware for the long long long line.

So disappointing. We were here on a connections it was 8 am and we had already been flying for 2 hours and woke up at 3 am. Needless to say we were in desperate need of a good cup of coffee and thought a place called the coffee bean would hit the spot… we were wrong. Well despite some of the reviews about the service my experience was quite nice the counter person was prompt and polite. My issue was with the product. I ordered a dirty Chai latte which I normally order so I am very familiar with the taste. Instead of getting a nice spicy, slightly sweet, creamy, wakening drink I was given undrinkable sweet mess with no flavor. I should have know we were in for a disappointment when I saw all the 6 pan’s with powders in it. Took 2 sips passed it to my friends to try who also wouldn’t drink it and now throwing out the $ 4.50 powdery sludge. Avoid checking this place out.

Very busy place. First time coming to this coffee lounge. I’m not too sure what I expected, however I am disappointed with the service and coffee. Tasted burnt or maybe just overroasted(I Love Bold blends) Located by gate 80 United I will try an iced coffee next time for sure

Thank you for making me a delicious mocha yesterday morning at the break of dawn. It was a nice change of pace from my usual Starbucks. Perhaps a little on the richer and creamier side, but I enjoyed every sip.

Slow service for an airport stop, but the pastry and coffee were delicious, and I wasn’t in a terrible hurry. If I had been in a hurry, I would’ve given two stars. Had a good selection of stuff. Last time I came through, the coffee was good as well.

I had a terrible, annoying experience here. I now go out of my way to not have to get coffee here when I end up at this end of the airport, which is pretty often. I ordered a black tea iced, I took one sip and it tasted so gross, like old coffee grounds. I took it back to the counter, was standing there, being ignored while the employees chatted for a minute. I finally was like, «hey guys…» in a super nice way. The girl was like, «YES?» in a short, annoyed way. I was explaining how it tasted off and she just grabbed it and turned away before I was done talking. When I said«like old coffee grounds» the other dude working there was like, «so you want fresh brewed then?» in a really rude tone. What?! It’s like«no, I would really prefer iced tea with leftover coffee grounds in it because you’re too lazy to clean your equipment. That sounds awesome». I was dumbfounded by his response and their overall attitudes, especially because I was being really nice and easygoing about it. These kids obviously hate working there, and they’ve probably had to deal with a lot of a-holes in the airport, but in my opinion that’s no excuse.

The two employees move at an incredibly slow pace. No smile. Like they are working as punishment.

Standard stop for coffee at LAX. Nothing that goes above and beyond, but we were in and out within a reasonable time frame and the people were friendly

Horrible menu, horrible customer service, horrible coffee. I left irritated and unsatisfied. This place needs some customer service training.

Of course I expected a shakedown when ordering coffee at an airport location. But did I expect to get questionable customer service from a teenager who is obviously not suited to a frontline cashier job? Probably not. Funny how he couldn’t ask me for all the details in one go. Instead, we had a 5 question q&a to get to the one thing I want– a regular iced soy mocha. Meanwhile, his colleague — who is obviously the frontline guy — was chatting up this cute girl who told him her plane is in final boarding. Dude, even if she welcomed the flirtation, she basically just told you to hurry the f up and she needed those two capaccinos yesterday. It was a $ 7.09 worth comedy skit with me as antagonist. After all this, I think he used milk powder in the drink(the whole point of soy substitute is not have lactose in my mocha). Minus another point for charging $ 1 for soy. Seriously?! Way to punish folks with a fairly mainstream intolerance and allergy.

I Miss the airport Starbucks. Term 8 The Coffee Bean is an unhappy place. Most worker growl. For $ 5 coffee I’d like a little happy. I work at Term 8 but I walk to term 7 Coffee Bean there is a little happy there. Starbucks come back !

My Macha green Heaven in a glass. Starts the day out right and my smile just keeps on going all day long. Life has been great for me lately and it’s just getting better every step I take. The service is great when all you want is to be happy. Thanks

After living in CA for more than 25 years, I don’t end up every trying a Coffee Bean until I move away. I happened to be in LA recently and while flying back home to Seattle I found myself at the airport super early. With unpredictable traffic I was glad that things worked in my favor and I ended up at the airport with plenty of time before my flight. The only thing that didn’t work in my favor was that Terminal 8 had lousy food/drink options. All fast food, long lines, and basic chaos. I spotted some good looking iced tea options on the menu here and then from afar noticed they had some prepared snack packs. I get in line, and actually get excited to see that they had little pretzel, hummus, and carrot packs. I’d have preferred something else but this was far better than fast food. I happily pick up the package and then notice that it had expired the day before. And so did the one behind it… As well as the one behind that. Having lost my appetite I figure it’s safest to just skip a meal altogether and get an iced tea. The young gal behind the counter was extremely perky, and really helpful. Having not had their teas before, I loved her suggestion of getting some blood orange flavoring added to my black tea. It was pretty sweet but nice and tangy. Her bright spirit and friendly attitude perked me right back up and so did the tea. I still boarded my flight hungry but here’s to hoping they monitor expiration dates in their fridge more often.

Decent stop for coffee if you’re stuck in this terminal for a layover. Went for their original ice blended coffee in mocha, no whip. Decent taste, more of a dessert than a caffeine boost. Didn’t think to say no sweetener, but maybe I should have. Despite having three employees working, the only one to acknowledge me was the one who took my order. Zero personality, no thank-yous, nonexistent customer service.

It was 6:05 and I had 3 friendly people in their early twenties making coffee. When you’re at an airport you don’t think about the poor people who have to wake up early to serve you– I’m usually a Starbucks gal but without a Starbucks in sight I opted for Coffee Bean. They use a powder instead of liquid syrup to flavor the drinks. I had a hazelnut latte and my hunny had a soy latte. I guess the soy latte wasn’t that great, but my latte was awesome! Thanks guys! Is this place better than Starbucks? No but it works in a pinch. I could find some good quality coffee to meet my needs. The service was just okay but I still think Starbucks takes more pride in their product.

Give me a choice between Starbucks versus Coffee Bean, I’d choose Coffee Bean any day. After arriving from a long United Airlines flight, I was happy to see that the ice blended drinks were calling out my name. To my surprise they had 3 new flavors — Rocky Road, Birthday Cake, and Dark Chocolate ice blended. I had asked the employee if the Rocky Road was any good and his response was a bit hesitant. I proceeded to order the Dark Chocolate and the employee said«that’s a better choice.» He was right. I love dark chocolate — not as sweet as the other drinks but still as fattening! This place is also located next to Marmalade where you can buy a sandwich to go with your refreshing drink.

This is the only place to get decent coffee when flying United and out of this terminal. And once you hear the elevator music blasting throughout this entire terminal – believe me, you’ll need one. The iced coffee is fine and no different than any other chain style iced coffee. Order a tall in a large cup(if you remember) so that you get an adequate amount of coffee and have room for milk. I like that you can sit here and eat your lunch in peace if you’ve planned ahead enough to bring your own sandwich from Corner Bakery(my new fave pre-airport take away place). If not, you can get food from either here or the restaurant in this same eating spot, where I could hear grumbling tourists complain about the airport prices.($ 12 a sandwich). It makes me appreciate my $ 10 large, fresh, salad, complete with carrots, but I digress. Anyway, it seems that they are attempting to offer somewhat healthy juices, yoghurts and the like although nothing jumps out at you. The baked goods don’t really appeal and I’m glad for that ‘cuz who needs it, really? So while it might not be as good as an airport SB, I like that the lines are shorter and the seating area is both cleaner and calmer than most other coffee shops at LAX. Then again, when flying out on a cloudy Sunday, the whole airport seems to shut down in the way that snow shuts down yvr. The only problem is that it’s at the far end of the gate, so you can’t loiter too long before you have to hurry up and wait to board your flight.
