As a half-Salvadoran, I’ve been eating pupusas most of my life. I don’t think anything will ever live up to the pupusas I had as a child. I don’t like to compare, though, so I’ll stop there and go on with what I do think about this place. Service is slow. Understandable because pupusas take FOREVER to make and they are a pretty busy place. However, if you’re going to tell your customers that their order will be ready at a certain time, it’d be nice if they were actually ready for pick-up at that time. It’s irritating to get at the given time only to have to wait 10 – 30 minutes MORE. And that’s to say I only live a few blocks away! While the pupusas are big and pretty stuffed up, they’re also damned greasy. But, hey. It ain’t about the health. They are pretty tasty and one or two is definitely more than enough to fill you up if you don’t have a HUGE appetite. They’re a little pricey, but you pay for what you get and, like I said, they’re big. The pastelitos de carne and empanadas de crema are the best things in this place, in my opinion. I haven’t had the atol de elote in a while here, but last time I did, it was pretty plain and I had to wait quite a while for them to heat it up… If you’re in the mood for a big, greasy meal(or feel like you will be later on, because that wait time…), this is the place for you.

1 star doesn’t even cut it. HORRIBLESERVICE. and the cheese they use for the pup us a taste like feet. Definitely not worth waiting almost an hour for someone to even come to your table then another hour for a pupusa. Like if you’re gonna go eat before you go

The absolute best pupusas ever. This is surely a hole in the wall, so don’t expect luxury here folks. I’ll be honest, I absolutely HATE coming here and eating inside. Waiting time takes forever and it’s always packed, servers aren’t the best. I order pick up and they have gotten my order wrong a couple of times. However, the pupusas are sooooo good that they keep me coming back. Heck they are even better than El Salvador’s pupusas, been there and these are better. I order Revueltas and my husband gets bean & cheese because he’s a seasonal vegetarian. Just writing this review is making me want some.

Ordered a Carne burrito via Über eats tonight and it was terrible. The burrito was mostly filler and rice. The tiny bit of meat that was in it was fatty and gritty. Certainly doesn’t make me want to come in.

Bad customer service. Waited almost 40 minutes for some pupusas, which the waiter didn’t even write down on the receipt. Everyone else got their food before us and we walked in first.

Yes pupusas are good!!! And wait time yea is long but I love the food there. Would recommend it since other places the pupusas are small and over priced.

The pupusas and caldo de pollo are bomb! The horchata and ensalada drinks bomb too! The reason for the stats. I wouldn’t eat here because it’s dirty most of the time or at least when I go. They don’t have parking so it can be a pain in the bottom. And what annoys me is that every time you take out they give you a time but still take forever. For example, if they tell you your food will be ready for pickup in 30 minutes don’t be there in before them 30 minutes. You will get there and have to wait another 20 minutes. No lie!

These are the best pupusas I’ve ever had. I love this place. One thing that took me a while to figure out was, while I could pay with my credit card, for some reason I was never charged the tip I left on the receipt. Next time I go, I owe them a lot of cash for tips!

Forgot to update this review… food was very good. If you don’t mind waiting, the pupusas are very flavorful and are pretty big!

Great value, delicious, non-greasy, and fresh pupusas. Another great spot on Pico. It does take a while for them to be made fresh. Good things come to those who wait — was never more true.

Ordered here for the first time… It was OK. The sope de pata was very bland, the tamale had bones in it, and they got my egg order and drinks wrong. The only good thing I got was the pupusa. Most likely will not be coming back.

My family and I have been coming to this place for years, anytime we want pupusas this is the go too spot. They’re cheap and pack a lot of filing. At most other places the surrounding edge is just dough but not here, they fill the pupusas all the way. The size of them are amazing, your good with 2, 3 at the most. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the service. It’s a small family owned business and they only have 1 or 2 servers so sometimes it takes a little longer than normal on busy days. For take-out I recommend calling the order in advanced.

The pupusas are oh so good! A little too greasy at times but they are delicious. My family and I call in our order then pick it up in about 20 minutes and bring it home. The pupusas are pretty big too. If you’re going to eat there, I suggest calling ahead and placing your order. My only complaint is it takes awhile to get your food when you dine in.

Food is good. The wait is 30mins to an hour wait if you are lucky. My suggestion is to order a day before to get your food. Customer service sucks!!!

Ive been going to this place for couple decades now. Always delicious and really hooked up Pupusas. 2 bean and cheese pupusas and Kola Champagne usually does the trick. Service is good, it can sometimes take long to get service but the food makes up for the wait.

I’ve been coming here for years now, and, I must say the pupusas are one of the best! Savory traditional Salvadorian food, the pupusas are big and priced right. Yucca with chicharron, pastelitos con carne are among my favorite dishes, the place is not the best looking with outdated tables and pictures on the wall, it’s definitely due for an upgrade. The waiting time is about 15 to 20 minutes too long… if you eat there, the place seats about 50 people. Their staff needs to improve their service quality, also the parking in this area is bad! Hard to find a parking spot.

My coworker brought me here because the pupusas are supposed to be good… She was right. The pupusas are really big. I can normally eat two so I always order one cheese and one bean. I did the same here out of habit, but I got through one before I was stuffed!!! It was sooo yummy~!!! They stuffed so much cheese into the pupusa that it was oozing out and had grilled crisped on the griddle before being plated. I don’t know about you, but LOTS of cheese is ALWAYS a good thing in my book. The bean pupusa was wonderful too — I just couldn’t enjoy it as much because I was so full. My coworker and I tried their corn tamales as well — it was like steamed corn bread served with beans and crema. All in all, I can’t wait to go back.

I typically come here in the evening and it’s a bit difficult to find. Look for«Dino’s Chicken & Burgers» they have bright lights and a big sign. lol Then look across the street & find Conchita’s hidden behind a black wrought iron door. Their tamales & Abuelita’s hot chocolate with milk(aka Mexican hot chocolate) are awesome! Taste like home made! MMMM!!!
