Quality Christian Education, Rooted in Faith
Concordia Schools– Granada Hills is one of the 2 Concordia Schools located in the greater San Fernando Valley. The Concordia schools were Lutheran schools originally working as independent educational ministries of local congregations, a tradition of Lutheran Churches dating back to 1847. The schools merged together in the summer of 2011 to form The Concordia Schools. Concordia– Granada Hills (Formerly, Our Savior’s) has been at the same location, faithfully serving families with students from preschool through 6th grade since 1954. Concordia– Jr. & Sr. High School (Formerly Los Angeles Lutheran High) opened its doors in 1943. Together as a system, Concordia continues to bring the highest quality Christian education to the families in our communities at affordable prices.

I began my first year here at this campus in 1992 as the 5th/6th grade teacher, previously teaching for nine years at First Lutheran in Burbank. I spent my childhood in Eugene, Oregon and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from the University of Oregon in 1980. In 1983, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Many changes have taken place since those early teaching days. I became a foster parent, I bought a home (or rather the bank did!), I’m the mother of four children, and I transitioned from teacher to teacher/principal. When you stop to «take it all in,» it can be a bit thought provoking. Try it with your own life; you might be surprised at how many experiences you’ve had! The Lord has made it clear to me where I belong. My love for the children here at our school grows stronger with each passing year. The relationship that develops with my students and their families blesses my life.
