There are a few mattress stores in the area and I found Lewis to be a straight shooter and easy to deal with. I told him what I liked and he directed me to a great mattress immediately. He wasn’t pushy and encouraged me to scope out the other stores nearby. I did so but Lewis offered the best deal and I went with him. He is the best!

Can’t say enough good things about this store and Lewis Kim, the store manager.
We went in to buy a mattress, bed frame and headboard on the Sunday before Christmas. Lewis showed us all the options in a full size mattress, which is the largest size which would fit comfortably in our second bedroom. He gave us an excellent price on the items we chose, and arranged for delivery the next evening as well as set up and removal of the old couch that was there.
The next day, Lewis called me once to confirm the delivery would take place that evening and again to tell me that it would likely be between 7:00 and 7:30. Like clockwork, the delivery crew called at 7:00 to let us know they were 15 minutes away. After their arrival, they did a fast and excellent job of both the setup and removal.
We plan to upgrade the mattress set in the master bedroom in 2 or 3 months, and I definitely will be buying from Lewis Kim at that time.

Lewis was incredible. He was super patient, even with our kids running around while my wife and I laid on several beds for minutes at a time. He was knowledgable and knew the questions to ask to help us narrow down our options.
He was completely fair with the pricing, delivery was super fast and right on time. They also disposed of our old mattress, which was amazing.
Can’t praise this place enough. Loved our BS-​free experience and we’re loving our new mattress!

My BF and I went into Connie’s based on Unilocal reviews and we’re glad we did! My BF has horrible lower back pain due to his current, sagging mattress and was looking for a replacement. When we walked in, we were greeted and asked about our particular needs. BF needs a bit of a firmer bed obviously, while I need a bit of a softer bed due to arthritis. We were shown a couple middle-​of-​the-​ground beds and then left alone to lay on each mattress and decide. No pressure, no hovering salesman! Just peace and quiet so we could discuss each mattress as we tried them. Fabulous!
After we had picked a mattress, we discussed the size (Cal King) and needs with the salesman. They were having a sale, so the originally $ 1600 mattress was $ 1400. On top of that, he gave us the current Groupon deal, even though we didn’t have the coupon! So off came another $ 200, which brought the mattress and box springs to $ 1300 with tax! Delivered within one week, and did I mention delivery and old mattress take-​away was totally free because of how local we were (we live right up the street from Connie’s)?
All-​in-​all, Connie’s was an amazing experience and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new mattress!

4^th mattress I’ve bought from this place. No, I don’t own a hotel or jump on my bed, I’ve brought 2 friends there since Both Lewis and Richard are awesome, and treated my friends’ purchase like mine.
Direct, no pressure, and willing to reason. For instance, we went in a week before memorial day, and asked if he could give us a memorial day sales price so we didn’t have to fight the crowds there or elsewhere and spend it somewhere other than a mattress shop. He agreed, and one viola, one less thing to do on the 3 day weekend, and I get an extra week of good nights rest.
Don’t believe me how awesome they are? Go to Mattress King across the street, get accosted by that sales person, then come here.

I’d been dealing with a back strain and my old mattress was not allowing me to recover from it very well so I decided it was time to do something about it.
Dropped in here on the 6^th (Holiday weekend) and met with Lewis who assisted me by answering questions, offering advice and sharing his knowledge of all the products they have to offer and what he thought might work best for me. I mentioned my budget to him and he steered me to a very nice mattress set that with the out-​the-​door cost kept me right on target-​I couldn’t have been more happy. During my time with him I didn’t feel an ounce of pressure from him whatsoever to make a purchase and that is a dream come true compared to the big-​box retailers who remind me of hungry dogs hoping you brought them treats (wait, I might have just insulted the animals!)
Several other customers popped in and out while I was there and he offered each of them the same level of service and even told them to bring back any prices they had and he’d beat them-​that was cool.
When I decided on my new set I was very pleased to learn that delivery would be in just a few quick days rather than several or more. 3 days later my new set was being placed in my bedroom with my old one being removed by two very nice and professional men who worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done.

Great customer service!
Ordered a new bed from a furniture store that required a box spring, but could not order one until the bed arrived because we didn’t know if we needed the standard or low profile box spring. Called Paul in the morning after the bed frame arrived to check availability and ability to deliver the box springs on the same day. He said they could deliver by 8pm. Went in and paid — a very simple transaction. By 8pm, no box springs, so I called Richard at the customer service number. He looked into it and learned there was a mix up and that he would deliver by 9:45pm if that was acceptable. He delivered it on time and even helped us set up the box springs upstairs. They really exceeded our expectations for such a small sale. Thanks to Paul and Richard! It’s great to work with genuinely friendly people who care about their customers! Highly recommend!

Buying a mattress from Connie’s is truly an excellent experience. They have an unparalleled selection and the guys who work there, Lewis and Paul, couldn’t be nicer. I’ve bought 2 mattresses in the last 2 years for 2 different rooms. Delivery was right on time in both instances. I’d recommend going there 100%!

Wow. We just spent an hour «test-​driving» beds, and not an ounce of sales pressure.
Lewis was knowledgable, patient, with zero pressure. He also gave us a great deal and threw in a few free goodies too! We are delighted with our purchase. We were considering going with Costco or something but are glad we listened to Unilocal!!!

Lewis is definitely a professional mattress guy. I have no idea how long he has been doing this, but he certainly knows what he is doing. He had suggestions for my partner and I to try out mattresses, how to lay down on them in the store based on how we sleep normally, and offered up this incredible gel pillow to try out while sampling the various mattresses. (Seriously, you guys gotta get this gel pillow. It’s a cold temperature, and molds to your held like a perfect little marshmallow-​y cloud.)
I knew i was going to buy a nice mattress and spend a lot of dollars because the $ 300 mattress I bought from IKEA last year is already bowl-​shaped :(. A mattress is just not something you can get for cheap and expect great results.
We ended up choosing a very nice model by Spinal Care, which turns out to be a local mattress company down in Torrance. We chose the organic cotton latex pillow top in a king size… we knew we would be paying high dollar for this investment, but it turned out the sign for the price on the bed we liked was switched (oh no!). Lewis honored the lower price anyways because he is a good guy and not a schemy sales person. He truly cared about us leaving happy, and even after giving us the low price, he threw in even more free things at the end of our purchase! I heard about this place through a friend, and I will definitely be sending my friends to Lewis from now on!

I can’t believe I’m writing a 5-​Star review for a mattress store, but… yeah… this is happening… I AM.
I was looking for a new bed (obviously) and saw this joint on Unilocal.It was Super Bowl Sunday and a good time to for some drama free shopping, I thought. Not only was my excursion here drama free, but it was extremely informative and surprisingly entertaining as well.
The Lovely & Talented Lewis who was the only one working this Super Bowl Day, «took one for the team,» for lack of a better expression since I appeared to be the only customer on that day. I showed up not too much before the posted closing time, but rather than greeting me by rolling his eyes and thinking of the beer & chili dogs he could be eating with his homies, he gave me a warm welcome, was happy to see me, and commenced to even take the time to give me a little surprise tutorial on bed buying.
For example, he asked if I was a «side sleeper» or «back sleeper.» I told him side. He asked if I preferred firm, pillow top, or somewhere in between. I THOUGHT I preferred firm and told him so, as I was thinking if how quickly my previous mattress seemed to cave in & sink in the middle after only 2 years. Getting a firm one surely would prevent this from happening again, so I thought. I explained this to Lewis and he said that I should try it out since it was important to him that I left a satisfied customer sleeping soundly & warmly, snug in her new bed.
So, this is where the Stellar Customer Service kicked in… He suggested I lie down on the mattress ON MY SIDE — not just a quick «Okay, this’ll work» type o’ deal — but for a full 5 minutes! Because only then do you REALLY know how your body is going to respond to the mattress, and it to you.
And that is exactly what I did. I did so on the Firm, the Pillow Top, and the Plush (a combo of the 2). Keep in mind this is a full 15 minutes of time I’m taking with this process now. Having made my decision he actually recommended I give it one more try to be Absolutely Sure I would be pleased with my selection. So I did, and I am!
Lewis also threw in some «freebies» that I won’t go into detail about lest others come in demanding the same, but I’m sure he regularly provides «hook ups» on an individual case by case basis. If you’re sweet to him, I’m sure he’ll be sweet right back. After all, it was obvious that he sincerely loves what he does, be it Super Bowl Sunday or not.

Read some of the reviews, they were dead on. I happen to live less than a mile away, but I’d recommend even if you lived 50 miles away. Lewis was very nice and knowledgeable. He wasn’t at all pushy or salesman-​y.
I was looking for memory foam, he showed me all the options they had and gave me the time to really try them. There was never any pressure. I found one I liked, he gave me a price out the door so good, I probably can’t even put it on here. It was a very easy, low stress transaction.
Highly recommended, family owned, honest and beds for every budget. They don’t do any advertising, which saves the buyer money. Thanks Lewis!

Lewis worked with me to find and purchase a new mattress. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and didn’t push for a sale. He took his time, explaining the different qualities of different mattresses, and what kind of mattress is best for what kind of sleeper one is. With the knowledge I learned from him, I felt very comfortable with my purchase, and he gave me a great deal. He was able to get the mattress delivered in just a couple days, and I couldn’t be happier with the mattress and the experience itself.

Lewis is the real deal… and he’s one kool kat!
I started looking for a new bed back in Nov of 2014. I mentioned I wasn’t going to be ready to purchase until the Jan/​Feb of 2015, but Lewis quoted me a price, and said he’ll honor the same“deal” whenever I’m ready. He never pressured me… and he assured me that if I was able to find a better deal, he’ll match the price.
When the time came, Lewis kept his word, and the transaction was smooth & easy!
Delivery guys were on-​time & friendly!
There’s lots of mattress/​bed places out there… but Lewis know’s what he’s talking about & he’s a true man of his word!

After visiting several mattress stores we stopped into Connie’s on Pico and were guided through the numerous choices Lewis Kim. He carefully narrowed the field until we settled on the Spinal Care CK Quantum Plush Top. Lewis was extremely knowledgeable and he gave us an excellent price. A must visit store if you’re looking for a mattress!

Like everyone who writes reviews on Unilocal,I have had my share of both good & bad customer service, I have encountered a wide range of expertise on the products in question. When you already know exactly what you want, it’s (somewhat) easy for the person trying to earn their commission to look it up on a computer to see if it’s in stock. What is rarer to find is someone who takes the time to not only help you make your decision, but imparts enough knowledge to make you confident that you made an informed decision.
What purchase could be more important than a mattress? You spend a third of your life interacting with this product, and a poor selection can result in severe pain the other two thirds of your day. On top of that, a variety of offerings, wide range in prices, and somewhat shady marketing can make this dangerous grounds for the uninformed customer. Enter Lewis from Connie’s Mattress Shop: after finding this spot on Unilocal among the many offerings on Mattress Row, he spent an hour discussing the various options and the physiology of sleeping. He is without doubt the most knowledgable sales person I have come across, and I am not limiting that categorization to mattress salespeople. He took the time and guided us while we tried a wide variety of mattresses, and helped us to narrow the choices down to the best one for us. Delivery went off without a hitch (despite having a second floor with a U-​shaped staircase, every delivery person’s nightmare).
It should be quite sometime before we need to make another mattress purchase, but I would highly you start your search here.
