Great gallery and shop. The service is wonderful. The inventory varies in style and price so anyone can pick something up. I enjoy that they carry updated takes on traditional themes. Bought a pair of earrings here that everyone compliments regardless of style or demographic. Shop here!

This is without a doubt my favorite shop in Placita Olvera. The majority of Placita Olvera is meant to be a tourist attraction… But this place really focuses on unique pieces of art from both local artists and those in the motherland. Their inventory changes depending on what the artists decide to make. It’s always awesome. The owner(lady) is really sweet and her son is cool too, they’re really helpful and actually like to talk to customers.(Yeah I’m talking to you other shop owners watching Univision and avoiding questions-No Bueno!). Check it out! And grab a delicious(but overly priced) churro from Mr. Churro!

If you’re in need of a quality Mexican and Latin American folk art fix, this is the place! Filled with traditional and contemporary pieces both imported and made by local artists, Corazon De Los Angeles is a true jewel of Olvera St. Spent time there last week lusting after several works of folk art. I asked numerous questions regarding specific pieces and trends. The sales clerk was patient and her responses were knowledgeable about the artists, art studio sources, and lead-free glazes [with some current and past politics thrown in.] The shop/gallery is in the space that once housed the Casa Sousa which was another excellent shop/gallery. I am going back!
