Country Villa Terrace Assisted Living and Nursing Healthcare Centers have a long history of serving West Los Angeles Residents near Beverly Hills California. Our staff, while seemingly young, have a long history of experience. Originally called Villa Flores, this family owned business is still working with the original owners.

Mike S.

Manager

Mike Seifert is the licensed nursing home administrator of Terrace Skilled Nursing, Terrace Assisted Living Center, and Pavilion Skilled Nursing. A graduate of USC’s Masters of Health Administration program, and also has a certificate of Long-​Term Care. Having worked for over 8 years as an administrator, he has earned the title of Administrator of the Year twice and also ran a facility named Business of the year by the Canoga Park /​West Hills Chamber of Commerce. Stop in and meet Mr. Seifert and ask for a tour or just say hello, his door is always open.

The staff is professional and many of the nurses were wonderful during the daytime. The living room is so homey and good for family visits. The meals are not healthy if you are on a restricted diet. They try their best to give a healthy meal but if you are on a heart healthy or low salt diet it is near impossible to get what you need. Having family bring in healthy food is a better alternative. The evenings were a nightmare. Many of the patients scream all night long. It is impossible to get any rest. It was ok for a few days but a long term stay was exhausting. Some of the patients hired private care companions to give them more personalized help. I strongly recommend it if you can swing it. If you are on an HMO, it was the most pleasant of all I interviewed. The patio outside near the window was for smoking patients and the profanity was loud and noisy. We loved the workout room for rehab therapy. The photos are all the assisted living area. The skilled nursing facility doesn’t look as home-​like. Many evenings the heater was turned off on the wing that had bed ridden patients.

My 83 year old dad was here for 2 weeks in the Fall of 2012. I had never seen a Skilled Nursing Facility before and I was pretty shocked by what I saw. and heard. It’s not a pretty place to hang out for lots of reasons including endless noise and sensory overload, patients recovering from everything from stabbings to falls to hip replacements. I only saw 1 other facility (Sharon) and this place was the Taj Mahal in comparison to that. The staff here was uneven in care. Some were fantastic and went the extra mile. — maybe 40%. Management should have run a tighter ship — I often felt they didn’t have a handle on what my dad needed from regular showers to the paper work to get him discharged. Yes, the floors were spotless but the bathrooms (all shared) could have been a lot nicer. The beds could have had better sheets The food could have been better (I brought my dad dinner EVERY day). The outdoor patio was a huge plus to escape the crazy place — but they should not allow smoking.

Can’t edit my old review? I’ll append it. I wrote the original review post surgery and under a lot of meds.
They also refused to get me the medical equipment I needed to use the bathroom, for Five Days after I’d been admitted. I had to walk across the building to one of the public restrooms.
The hospital didn’t send meds with me post discharge so I had to wait until the next day for pain meds. Four days after major surgery?! For shame, to make someone suffer like that.
Anyone using a SNF needs an advocate who is outside of the hospital/​nursing home systems.
