Craig’s Plumbing truly is a family owned and operated plumbing company, the logo is me and my son and my wife works all summer at the shop and is a full time elementary school teacher during the school year. We started with one truck and now have a few and we are ready for any job you may need done, whether it is a simple toilet repair or major piping, we are set up to help you, we can clean you kitchen clogged sink, or we can snake your main sewer, we are set up to take care of all your needs. We are very honest, very clean, we cover everything when doing major work, we are EPA certified and just a good company to deal with, our prices are competitive and we are licensed, full workman’s comp insurance and have general liability insurance to protect you. Our plumbers are in company uniforms and company trucks and we do not sub out any work, all is done in house.

this is not a review on any services Craig did. but the level of customer service Craig provided was top notch. recently moved into a new condo and we were looking to get some work done. He was very responsive and helpful. Ultimately, he felt what we needed to get done was not something that could work out. Really appreciated his honesty and his time.

I have talked to Craig a few times to talk about a kitchen sink backing up all kinds of nasty brown stuff, and to our surprise, it was backing up into the dishwasher too, nice! I have not had the work completed yet, but he has been very responsive, even at late hours of the night discussing the plumbing job. It’s not a small job, especially after the burdens of closing costs of an escrow and moving in to a new home, so I am trying to get at least one second opinion, but I do believe that Craig is honest, and cares about his customers. Update to come once the work is completed!

Craig is awesome! I called him after our current plumber was suppose to come out and install a washer and dryer in our garage, but completely flaked on us. I checked out Unilocal for a plumber in my area and Craig had great reviews so I called him. He came over right awayto see the job and give us a quote. He was the best priced of all the other plumbers we saw and I could tell instantly that he was an honest and thorough person.
His crew came out a week later and they were on time and did a great, clean job. He even followed up to see how everything was going the next day. I think Craig and his team are great plumbers and great people in general. I met at least 5 different plumbers to get a quote and he was the only one that I felt wasn’t just throwing out random numbers for the same job. Finding an honest and good plumber is hard and I am so happy we found Craig!

I called for an estimate because I saw some positive reviews but, apparently, because he’s done a few good jobs he thinks he can treat others, even potential customers rudely and disrespectfully.
So, I called Craig for an estimate on a complete re-​piping and was met with an abrasive, very rude and condescending individual who made numerous assumptions about my place without even having seen my place directly. Arrogance for being good at what you do is one thing but treating a potential customers so rudely is unacceptable.
I highly recommend others to look elsewhere. I’ll certainly let my contacts and friends know who not to do business with. Be smart and avoid Craig’s Plumbing.
UPDATE:
One thing I would like to point out is that Craig mentioned the fact that there was another women who had called about a quote on an «8 unit condo complex.» He seemed to assume that that person was calling on behalf of me and continued to assume and accuse me of it. I’m not married and do not currently have a girlfriend and never have I had anyone call on my behalf. Additionally, I own a 6 unit townhouse complex which is very different from what he is alleging. Again, the defensive and accusatory tone reinforces the type of person he is. AVOID AND BEWARE!

i can’t give Craig 5 stars because I never actually had to hire him! Instead he talked me through fixing my garbage disposal over the phone. Can’t thank him enough for that. And the next time I really do need a plumber, I’ll know who to call!

To conserve water I consulted with Craig to evaluate a hot water recirculating pump that didn’t seem to be working. Craig diagnosed the problem quickly and within a few days returned with his crew to correct the problem. Now we have hot water in our second story home without waiting and as importantly without wasting water. We have also met someone who we can trust in the future to attend to our pluming needs.
Craig’s crew is as terrific as he is. Craig is there to assure the customer that the quality of workmanship performed is of the highest standards.
I recommend him to anyone that wants the assurance that the job is done properly at a reasonable cost.

Craig came out on short notice to fix a broken bathroom sink, not only diagnosed the problem I was having, but also solved another problem (an incredibly slow drain) that I had been told by another plumber could not be fixed without basically re-​piping the entire sink. His guys came out the next day and fixed it. They were very friendly and professional. Will definitely use Craig for any future plumbing needs.

We had a plumber come in and quote $ 1500 in plumbing services and referred us to a water damage restoration company who quoted us $ 2800. After spending the day calling numerous plumbers and cleanup services, I spoke to Craig and knew from his straight shooter/​analytical diagnosis of the problem that he was the person to give us an honest evaluation. He came in on short notice (literally an hour) and helped us out so much. He charged $ 165 and the cleaning company that he referred us to charged us $ 980. Craig saved us over $ 3,000. He is not one of those plumbers who takes advantage of the situation and extracts as much out of you as possible. I am so grateful that I met him and would recommend his services to anyone. The world needs more professionals like Craig!

Stop your search and call these guys now. I just got off the phone with them about our failing garbage disposal. They were up front with me about costs, recommended ways that I could save money, and even talked to me about the pros and cons of attempting to do it myself. After speaking with several other plumbers, I can tell you that this kind of honesty is unheard of in the this business.

We just had Craig come and do the set-​up for a washer and dryer and the whole experience was great. We had gotten several bids and Craig’s bid was by far the most reasonable. They were also fast and considerate of our house while getting the job done. We will never use another plumbing company and have referred Craig’s plumbing to several of our friends.

Craig responded to my review which I just noticed it today, he is dead wrong here. I ended up calling another company after spending $ 1000 digging for a main pipe where Craig told it was. The other company simply had a working camera and a competent plumber who was easily able to tell me where the main drain line was going. Craig says his camera had interference, incorrect, he probably either does not know how to operate his own camera or had a bad camera. When the other person came in there was no issues. And why did he charge me full fair when he could not perform the job as promised??? Either case you don’t charge a consumer or if you do you have to be responsible when you charge a fee for professional services. I am not going to let a plumber take me to cleaners! I am opening a case with California Contractor Lic board as I don’t want to go to small claims for now for having Craig pay me for the fees he charged me and other costs I incurred for having him perform incorrect work. I suggest you NOT to do do business with Craig. He is either NOT honest or component but either the case he willing to take responsibility for his work. BTW, I generally don’t just put in bad reviews, in fact most of my reviews are 5 stars raving about people who deserve one.

I just had an exceptional experience w/​Craig. My garbage disposal was jammed and I am not handy in the slightest. I called, Craig answered, I explained the issue, and he told me how to un-​jam it myself. He stayed on the phone with me for 5 minutes as I worked to get it un-​jammed, and gave me really specific guidance. I was able to un-​jam it, and it was obvious that he was genuinely pleased to help me avoid the $ 150 service call.
It’s not everyday that you call a plumber who spends his time to help you save $ and eliminates himself from making $ just to be helpful.

**Twice in the last 4 years this happened at my house. Both previous times I called a plumber, they came out to un-​jam it and I cut them a check. I will not be making those calls in the future because I know how to un-​jam it now. This will probably save me over $ 1,000 over the course of my life!

Just called Craig Plumbing this morning (Tuesday, October 15, 2013) to get a quote and more importantly, finish up with a new kitchen remodel. The employee made excuses from the start in regards to them just finishing a job and starting a new one. Nothing about what I needed done. When I said, «sounds like you’re telling me your too busy to do this job» he says yeah.
If this is the mind set of an employee answering the phone, I can only imagine the quality of businessman that would continue to keep him as an employee. Save yourself the waste of your VALUABLE time and bypass calling this company. Hopefully the owner will read this and take care of this issue.
Craig, from Craig Plumbing called me this afternoon in response to my email to his company website. Apparently he was the person I spoke with this morning. Have to say I was impressed that he called me to explain what happened and was very professional on the phone. With that said, lessons to be learned from this: Don’t answer your cell phone on a job site with poor reception and 2 inspectors waiting to do your final… let it go to voice mail and call back later in a controlled environment. After our discussion I could see giving his company a call in the future.

I have used Craig’s Plumbing for over 12 years. He has replaced a garbage disposal, installed new faucets in the bathroom, repaired a leaking bathroom sink and toilet. He is amazingly honest. He will tell you which type and brand of faucets, handles, disposal, etc. are reliable, worth the price, not worth the price, I selected an attractive set of faucets, doing research, etc. and Craig took one look and said that he would be back on a year or two to replace them because there were of poor quality! He either answers the phone or returns calls promptly, scheduled quick, convenient appointments, arrives on time and stands behind his work.
