It’s a pity that this place went out of business. I really liked them.

Below average cookies and ice cream that melt as soon as you touch it. Is it any wonder they went out of business?

They have a parking lot — makes it easy to drop in for a quick treat!
$ 2.50 for an ice cream sandwich
The décor is lacking but hey! you are just in and out for a quick treat so I let it pass
A good substitute for Diddy Reese when you don’t want to drive to Westwood, find parking and wait in line.

I have been here three times already this week. The chocolate chip cookies are their best cookie and the strawberry cheesecake ice cream is their best ice cream. For now, the sandwiches are only $ 1.50 as part of a grand opening special. Definitely check this place out. The chocolate chip cookies are warm and soft with gooey chocolate bits. So awesome.

The cookies had a decent flavor but were hard as rocks. The woman behind the counter also didn’t wear gloves when she grabbed my cookies. She had just handled some cash from the previous customer… Gross.

right now they are selling their ice cream sandwch cookies for 1.50. (for their grand opening promotion) normally i think it is 2.50 or something
Ordered mint chocolate chip icecream sandwiched between a sugar cookie and a peanut butter cookie.
The cookies were a bit off! they were a bit too crispy and hurt the top of my mouth when i bit into it. it also crumbled all over the place and on my shirt… the cookies tasted okay though! i guess just the texture of it… baked too long?
the ice cream seemed like it was kept in a freezer that wasn;t cold enough or something. because it literally took less than a minute to get my cookie, pay and take a bite. yet by that time the icecream was wayyyy too soft. i took my first bite and half of the icecream oozed from the sides already
overall i’d still rather go to diddy reese in westwood for 1.75 a cookie… here the sandwich was okay… but just wasnt enjoyable from having the cookies overbaked and the icecream too soft

Blah. The worst ice cream sandwich cookie I have ever had. Only reason I’m even giving it any stars is because its cheap and the size of the sandwich was good.
Ordered a sugar cookie and peanut butter cookie with mint chocolate. Bit into the cookie and nearly chipped my tooth (ironically the peanut butter cookie is called «chewy peanut butter») and the ice cream melted immediately when I received the sandwich. So all in all, cookie was way too hard to eat, ice cream was way too soft to handle, and to top it all off they ran out of chocolate chip cookies. Seriously?

Sign says open til 11pm. I show up after dinner at 9:30 for some dessert and the door is locked with the neon «open» sign still lit up. Woman behind the counter mouths «sorry, it was slow» and continues mopping the floor. I give it another month before mopping the floor is all that’s left to do. Good luck

The décor was lacking and felt unwelcoming. The guy behind counter was brusque. The cookies were all too hard. They were warm, which normally would be a good thing but they melted the ice cream really quickly, making it a very messy sandwich. It would be more convenient if they provided the sandwich in a little bowl like Diddy Riese instead of just a paper sleeve. They were having a special ($ 1.50 for ice cream sandwich) but I probably would not pay the full price ($ 2.25). I agree with the previous reviewer that if the only item you are selling are ice cream sandwiches, then they better be damn good. Only so-​so.

I tried to visit tonight… although the website lists as open until 11 and the open light/​signage was on and posted til 11 too, the door was locked and the lights off at 10:20. Unfortunately this ceases my desire to enjoy your cookies and cream. Boo hoo.

Owner friendly, cookies warm and fresh with multiple varieties, and ice cream scoop generous in size… and cheap, could be 3x the price. Will be back.

The small strip mall it is located on and the small parking lot is not a very enticing area to be situated in.
That being said, a delicious, inexpensive ice cream sandwich. Currently sits at $ 1.50 for your choice of ice cream between your choice of two cookies.
The interior of the place is very minimalistic, clean white lines and walls around with the cookies and ice cream behind a clear countershield.
Have to say, thought the cookies and ice cream all tasted better than at Diddy Riese (maybe its that I think Dreyer’s ice cream is overrated).
Never had to wait in line, so that is definitely a bonus.

If you like delicious freshly baked cookies and tasty ice cream for an incredibly low price, you will love this place. It is very similar to Diddy Riese in Westwood, but less well known (therefore no lines!). They are open 11 – 11 every day and have a parking lot. We met the owner the other night and he was very nice and really, truly appreciated our business. It made us sad that not that many people seem to know about this place because it really is delicious! I just graduated from school in Colorado where there was the MOST amazing delivery cookie place called Boulder Baked. I have been pining for Boulder Baked since I came back, and it looks like I’ve found a replacement :) If anyone reads this who is from Boulder, they will know what I am talking about!!!
So please, give this place some business because they really do have DELICIOUS cookies (esp. snickerdoodle) and DELICIOUS ice cream and it is INCREDIBLY cheap.

I was waiting at the bus stop when I noticed a huge banner saying «$ 1.50 ice cream sandwich.» Of course I couldn’t resist, and popped in with 8 minutes to go for the bus to come.
Cookie-​wise, it was so-​so. The chewy peanut butter cookie wasn’t very chewy, and the guy working the counter found a huge one to match with my ordinary sized chocolate chip one.
The ice cream tasted like it came straight from Rite-​Aid, which isn’t bad, but for a place that sells only ice cream and cookies… yeah
Also, idk if its because I was in a rush, but the guy working seemed to be taking his sweet time getting my order ready.
All in all, would I go back? Probably, my cheapskate inner scrooge self cannot contain itself at the sight of such low prices.

This review is for the cookies only as I didn’t care much for the ice cream. All served warm — the choco chip, english toffee, and snickerdoodle were my favs! So deliciously homemade/​gourmet i can’t believe they’re only .50 each! So lucky to live right near it :)

That’s my tip above which I wrote on the mobile Unilocal app. This place is actually gets a 2.5 star rating but generously rounded up to 3.
This shop has been open about 3 weeks now and wasn’t busy at all on a hot summer day which could indicate something. I mean, it’s a good location at the strip mall across from the Beverly Center so foot traffic is ample in this area.
The lack of clientele could be due to the ice cream they serve though. It’s not made on the premise and is similar to the Thrifty ice cream flavors you’d find at a Rite-​Aid.
You can purchase ice cream sandwiches for $ 2.25 which I admit is considerably less expensive than say Coolhaus with their $ 5.00 a sandwich price tag so it’s really a trade off as to whether you want to eat flavors that are creative and original ala Coolhaus or more basic like those that are sold here.
The cookies are made on the premise however. I tried the «Chewy Peanut Butter» which was only chewy in the center but basically dry and crumbly on the outer edges. They need to work on their recipe. It also only had a very slight hint of peanut butter. The chocolate fudge cookie was decent though.
Instead of a sandwich, I asked if I could just have my ice cream in a cup with the two cookies on the side. At first, the guy attending me was a little confused because I said I wanted half a scoop of mint and chip and half a scoop of praline and cream. He said they usually just give one scoop of a single flavor but he managed to accommodate my request but I think I lost out in quantity with him doing it that way quite honestly.
It was unfortunate too that the city supposedly didn’t approve their request to be able to have tables and chairs in the store so there is no seating available. I had to consume my dessert standing outside.
One great thing is that parking is free in the front lot, if you can find a spot, that is.
I may come back again because one of the other guys gave me a coupon for two free cookies. I mean, it’s a great deal so if you want a quick and inexpensive ice cream sandwich fix on the fly, this is a great place for that. However, if you’re an ice cream connaisseur, this isn’t the place for you.

Out of biz

I had bookmarked plenty ice cream sandwich locations and was planning on hitting up Diddy Reese after the Beverly Center.
Waiting to cross the street my son saw CreamCookie, literally just opening.
I decided DR can wait, I will have a much better time shopping if my son gets fed first.
We were the second customers and had the full selection of about 10 different kinds of cookies and about 20 flavors of ice cream.
Lucky for me my son wanted to try the same as me so he went with the peanut butter cookie and the white chocolate macadamia nut with oreo ice cream, I had the double chocolate and oatmeal with half rocky road, half butter pecan.
$ 2.25 each is more than fair, cookies sell for 50 cent each and were warm, soft and gooey.
Service was super nice, its a simple set up with two ovens and an ice cream counter, its to go only, no seats.
Perfect location for a quick snack while shopping, though it gets messy and you have to eat fast, as the warm cookies melt the ice cream in no time.
I hope they do well, I love the concept, so simple and yet so indulgent.

Think: bare-​bones Diddy Riese for the Mid-​City West crowd.
Cream Cookie is a no-​frills, super simple type of joint that offers ice cream and cookies, as the name alludes to. That’s it.
You can choose from a pretty traditional assortment of freshly baked cookies (e.g. chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, oatmeal raisin, etc.) and ice cream (e.g., cookies and cream, butter pecan, pistachio). Get any combination of the two… ice cream only, cookies only, or ice cream sandwich.
They’re not particularly innovative or fun, but totally solid. The ice cream and cookies aren’t made from scratch, but the quality seems better than what you’d get at Diddy Riese.
If you’re craving an old-​fashioned ice-​cream sandwich and Diddy Riese is too much of a trek, Cream Cookie just might do the trick.

I was in the mood for dessert after hitting up the Beverly Center and I saw this spot on the corner of 3^rd and La Cienega with a huge «Grand Opening» sign.
They’ve only been open for a week!
So they have a decent selection of ice cream and cookies. Basic, as they haven’t been open for long. I had two (freshly baked and still warm and gooey) chocolate chip cookies surrounding a scoop of coconut pineapple ice cream. It was delicious.
Now, I know there are a lot of Diddy Reese supporters out there, and my gf says Diddy Reese is better. I personally like this place because it’s a little closer to my place (K-​town) and I don’t have to drive to Westwood HS territory (barf) aka bRuin territory to get a decent ice cream sandwich.
So for those of you, like me, who choose to FIGHT ON, I highly recommend this spot.
