Overall disappointed with my time spent here. They keep you waiting forever regardless that you make an appointment. Tell you two more minutes every ten minutes til an over hour goes by. No apology or consideration. If you want your dog neutered or given shots this is a good place cause of cheap prices.
Besides that they’ve come off rude and and unhelpful with any other issues I’ve had. Made an appointment waited an hour just to be told we will refer him. Could’ve just told me over the phone you can’t help out his limp. Complete waste of time won’t be returning.

Five stars are not enough. April came in on a Sunday morning with one of her staff for my Richie. Can’t thank her and her staff enough! My dog had a digestive tract infection and they gave an antibiotic treatment that worked flawlessly.

I went to this place hoping they would be different than the Sam Simon Foundation. No such luck ! Luckily the visit only cost me $ 20.00. That is because The initial examination had already been done at another Veterinarian facility, paid for by the P.A.W.S organization. That was $ 300. I did not have to pay. What they wanted, up-​front, and «no-​payments-​accepted» was $ 1000. That ended that! This is where, The Sam Simon Foundation spokesperson, conveniently, touts to all about, I supposedly had Chuck the Dog’s leg treated. Simple fact: When you have something the dog really needs and for no good reason you deny it to the dog, some would refer to that as animal cruelty. I see a starving dog. I have a hamburger. I grin and keep on walking along my merry way.

The price for the initial consultation is meant to get you in the door. Because of that reason, I’ve been here a couple of times.
The Doctor is nice and helpful but the wait to be seen is ridiculous. I walked in at 3:15 for my 3:30 appointment and hadn’t been seen until 4:10 with no explanation or apology.
Once inside the room, the doctor came pretty quickly and offered her opinion.
Where they try to get you is on the meds that they want you to give your pet. They are not inexpensive and they recommend giving several different kinds so the price goes up quickly.
Overall the consultation fee is much lower than other vets.

Horrible service, over priced, not the cleanest , dr would not release rx, i would never recommend the hospital to anyone who loves the pet,

If you love your pet, do NOT bring them here. I brought my baby Koko here in a state of panic and concern. She had a huge abscess on her face from her tooth being infected. They originally bring me a bill of $ 675(signal Hill animal & all pets veterinary in San Pedro and Blvd animal hospital in Long Beach, quoted me under 400 for the same procedure. So I find out after this disaster) for her tooth to be removed after examination, I explained to them it is CHRISTMAS, don’t have that cash, they Come back in and give me a temporary solution to the problem $ 275 (drain the abscess) I then ask this will buy me some time to save and get the tooth removed, right? Yes, they told me. Only temporary, and I agree. After returning my dog to me bloody (even charging me a cleaning fee then) my heart sunk… I was not even prepared for what I saw, she had tubes hanging from her face and very bloody. They give me instructions on her care, give meds, keep clean and return in a week. I returned today, they take her back and bring me out a $ 60 bill. I looked confused and became upset. How can you NOT inform me of the bill I am going to occur upon my return? At that, they tell me she should not have the tubing removed until the tooth is removed, and basically a $ 60 a week bill just to clean the drain? Why wasn’t I TOLD THIS? AFTER TEARS AND JUST ASKING WHY, I sit in a backroom waiting, and 6 POLICE OFFICERS walk in and tell me they are trying to run a business here and they cannot do their job with me there. Mind you, I address them all as Ma’am! Sad World! She is only out for the money.

Six years ago I took my Parot of 18 years to this vet bc the bird had a tiny cut on his finger, it could have been treated with skeptic!
I got a call from the vet telling me he had «sexed» the bird and ran a protoen count on him
(I never agreed to any of that and knew the bird sex!)
Upon bringing him in they aske for $ 350.00
I got another call from the vet telling me he was going to give the bird anesthetic to treat his finger, I said?“NO ANESTHETIC «he called 20 minutes later telling me the bird was convulsing and wasn’t doing well from the anesthetic!» And thought he should be euthanized I was decistated as that bird takes like a human and was like my child!
I never authorized any of the above!!!
He came back with another charge of $ 366 I said for what killing him? And refused to pay the difference! It has remained on my credit reports for 6 years!!!
This was wrong as I was strong about no anesthetic and never authorized any of the above!!!
I would never recommend this rip off vet ever!

We have been pet owners our entire lives and have visited many veterinarians over the years. I have to say this was the worst vet experience we’ve ever had. The woman who works as the receptionist/​tech was incredibly rude several times during our visit. The exam room had a television blaring a news program, which made for a less-​than-​peaceful environment for our already scared stray kitten.
Dr. Woods was calm and nice enough but she didn’t explain anything. We had to ask for her to be sent back to the room so we could ask what each of the (rather expensive) tests/​treatments were for. She was somewhat vague and we were not really certain which of the many suggested tests/​medications were actually necessary.
At the end of our visit there was a lack of communication between the rude receptionist and the other staff, such that we paid for services that were not rendered. They then had to take our kitten back in to finish the work.
We were sent home with two medications, one of which was an antibiotic EYE ointment. The directions put on the bottle by the vet staff said to give 1 ml ORALLY twice a day. Luckily I am a doctor in training and knew what «ophthalmic» meant on the medication bottle. Not all patients would know this and may have harmed their animal by following the erroneous directions.
Part of what we paid for was a send-​out lab test. I called back 5 days later to ask about the results, and the receptionist was rude again. She said she would call me back and never did. I called again the next day and I was sent to a full mailbox twice, even though it was during their open hours, so I couldn’t even leave a message. Our kitten’s belly is severely distended and we can’t get her the right medicine until we get the test results, so it seems we may have to repeat the test at another vet. We also didn’t get any reassurance from Dr. Woods that our kitten is okay, no plan for followup, no interim instructions, no emergency backup plan while awaiting results, etc. So…
Our total bill was $ 275. Our kitten is the same state she was in when we took her to the vet a week ago, and we still have no idea what’s wrong with her. There are a number of other veterinary offices in the area; I’d suggest trying one of them first.

My Pomeranian had some swelling around his eyes, so I decided to give Crenshaw dog and cat hospital a try. Great service, nice and friendly staff. Would’ve given five stars if the service was a bit quicker. I still recommend them.

This place will take you for a ride $$$$!!! I took my pup here to get treatment and they quoted me $ 1,300 not to mention they completely misdiagnosed my pup! I then shopped around and found a place in Van Nuys, I ended up paying $ 99 bucks for my pups treatment! I will NEVER come back to this place! Total rip off, it’s a dam crime!

I truly believe this veterinary office takes advantage of the fact that we love our pets and we will pay anything for their well being.
I took in my cat for this rash she had on her butt. All the doctor told me is that it might have been since I had changed my cat’s litter to a scented brand (she’s allergic). At the end of the visit my bill ended up being over $ 200. She dewormed and prescribed medication for her rash, and added a flea collar (she had told me it was the best brand out there. It did not work!) I won’t be bringing my cats here anymore.

I’ve been going to this clinic for over 15 years because it’s so close to my home. I’ve brought 3 dogs and 2 cats. I brought in my last cat who was really sick and they told me it would be over $ 800 for him to get better. I’m a college student that’s like half my tuition, they didn’t even offer me a payment plan or try to reduce some of the tests they had to make to help him. I went home to discuss with my parents and left him there while they «supposedly» worked on him. My parents said we couldn’t afford it and we make the difficult decision to put him to sleep.
While I was still home I got a call that I should pick him up if I’m not going to pay. With the broken heart that I would euthanize him I went back to tell them my decision.
The vet refused to euthanize him. She insisted that this was treatable and could save him and removed almost all the tests to reduce the price to about $ 200. They gave me hope and so I paid half and they said I could pick him up before they closed. I kept calling to check up and the staff kept telling me they weren’t even working on him!
In the end my cat didn’t make it. He died overnight and they didn’t even know until the next day! When I went to pick him up the next they left me waiting for almost an hr before the vet told me that he had died.
This wasn’t even the first time I had a bad experience with them. But I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Now I will never come here again.
If you’re concerned about the overnight care of your pet don’t come here. There was no consideration for my being a long time client.

The Doctor seemed nice, she answered all my questions & took her time to explain everything I was having trouble with. On the other hand, front office receptionist was rude! She chose to answer her phone during conversation! One of the nurses from the back, grabbed my dog so hard she banged her head against the door as she was taking her to the back! I was floored !
Plus they over priced !! My dog needed treatment, that was almost 400 $, sadly I couldn’t afford it.. Paid for the consultation that’s it !
I was so sad not being able to afford the treatment! But Luckily I found a Vet, took me all day but I found one. He was AMAZING! he also told me about how I was getting overpriced.
Bottom line is, my dog got her treatment for 100 $
She’s getting better thank god & the vet

I miss the old owners that ran this place. :(the place is not all that. I think you should take your pets some where else cause THEY said bring your cat in at 11:00am I did and they couldn’t see me for an hr. I know there were people there but why the fuck are you gonna tell me to bring my cat at 11:00 am but I didn’t see the dr at 12:05. For real. Also are the cats and dogs really not allowed to sit on the chairs? Cause dang they got a small as waiting room and some of us got big ass dogs. Just don’t take your animals here unless it’s only for shoots not for something very. Medical.

Long story short: I never saw Dr. Woods lay one finger on my cat, I spent over $ 1,000 in the span of 2 weeks… and my 1 yr. old kitty passed away with no clear diagnosis. Now, I am left with over $ 150 of unused medication and $ 390 down the drain on fluid analysis tests that I STILL haven’t received results on and it’s been OVER A WEEK since the tests were sent to the lab.
Needless to say, if you care about your pet, DO NOT take them to this clinic because I assure you that Dr. Woods does not. I’m sure she has the proper veterinary knowledge, but the compassion is not there. I constantly felt like she was dancing in circles around a diagnosis while I was painfully drained financially and emotionally and my sweet little Binx got sicker and sicker before passing.
During the course of his treatment, I would call with questions and ask to speak with Dr. Woods. The receptionists always made me feel like it was some kind of burden to want to speak with the doctor and I was constantly having to follow up and call and ask for test results when days would pass and the office would NEVER call me. I had high hopes for this clinic and tried to look past the previous bad reviews hoping that none of it was true, but unfortunately it is and I will not be returning with my one remaining cat.

I love Dr. Woods and all of our pets have been seen by her for the last 15 years. She is one of the most compassionate person and fair vet that I’ve come across. I can’t speak for any other Dr that works at that clinic, but I trust Dr. woods and if she has a practice we’ll follow her.

I took my second dog for teeth cleaning and while my dog was under, they called me and asked me if it was ok to extract 5 teeth!, that is what I call service and great communication!!!
I DON’T UNDERSTAND THE BAD REVIEWS! they seam full of hate and it does not make sense as my experience has been so positive :)

I have found Dr. Woods to be friendly, compassionate, thoughtful and considerate about the well being of her 4 legged patients as well has their owners. No treatments are ever performed or medications administered without the owners authorization, and yes that also means that unnecessary treatments and meds are not recommended unless deemed necessary.
When Dr Woods treated our dog, she had multiple symptoms and unfortunately we don’t have a talking dog, so she couldn’t tell us where it hurt. So we had to go through a little trial and error to get just the right medication and dosage. While it can add up getting your pet diagnosed and treated, it’s still cheaper than treating a human by light years. I’ve come to think of veterinary medicine as as much of an art as it is science. A human can say, doctor my stomach hurts, or theirs pain in my knee when I walk, or I feel nauseous when I take this medication … not only do dogs and cats not talk, they don’t even make facial expressions to give you a clue, trying to figure out whats wrong with them is so much harder than it is for a doctor of humans. Thanks to Dr Woods we got our dog Jessie on the right medication and the right dosage and now she’s much better.
Dr Woods is a great Vet, who is very reasonably priced and I know how much she and her staff care about every pet and pet owner. Thanks Dr Woods!

WOW. COMPLETE LIES. Not surprised. I had tears in my eyes because I had been waiting there for 2 hours worrying about the health of my dog. As I stated in my review, the treatments were significantly more expensive than when I came in last time so I simply asked for further explanation, WHICH TOOK ANOTHER 30 MINUTES.
NO TESTS WERE TAKEN OFF MY BILL BECAUSE OF «FINANCIAL RESTRAINTS.» I WAS NOT GIVEN A LIST OF TESTS TO CHOOSE FROM. I DID NOT DECLINE TREATMENTS OR TESTS AT ALL AND MY BILL REFLECTS THAT. On the contrary, I specifically asked if the test was comprehensive and would cover bacterial and parasitic infections. I am uploading a photo of my vet bill to prove it.
Furthermore, you never called me, and your receptionist was not new. I had to call you multiple times before I finally got you on the phone. And I did not «scream» at anyone. That’s a lie, just like your claim that I declined treatments due to «financial restraints.»
I did point out that I had to wait so long, and that no one called me with test results, that I paid for extra treatments that you could not explain the purpose of, and that my dog was still sick. Her condition had NOT improved. You, Dr. Woods, NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED. Scream at you? No, that’s ridiculous. I was at work. I like my job.
I also noticed that in your Unilocal response you conveniently failed to address my comments in the review about long wait time, how no one called me with test results, how your staff doesn’t know what medications do or how to pronounce them and how they couldn’t tell me what my test results meant.
You can try to make me sound like some cheap person who would rather skimp on treatments than take care of her dog, but the bottom line is I wrote this review because I care deeply about my pet, and I now take her to a vet that charges much more than you, because they actually do a great job and care about her as much as I do.
So, not only is your practice INCOMPETENT, but you are a LIAR. How dare you claim that I «declined» testing. I am floored.
To reiterate, CALL YOUR PATIENTS WITH TEST RESULTS. MAKE SURE YOUR STAFF KNOWS WHAT SAID TEST RESULTS MEAN. DONT TRY TO RIP YOUR PATIENTS OFF WITH REDUNDANT TREATMENTS THEY DONT NEED (hey– worked on me, though, I paid for all of them, despite what you say), DONT MAKE YOUR PATIENTS WAIT 2 HOURS WHEN THEY HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. DON’T LIE ABOUT YOUR PATIENTS, ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERNET.

I took my 2 month cat there because he was limping and I get there they charge me 75, like okay I get that that’s reasonable for a walk in emergency but then they start adding charges without consulting with me first they only gave me 10 mins to talk to my husband about the money situation or else they can’t do the treatment my cat needed. When were going to go pick up my cat which they had told me before hand that he was ready at 5:30−6 and I get there he is under sedation like really you couldn’t call before hand so I won’t have to waste gas to go over there. Overall this place was disappointing they were nice don’t get me wrong but do not take your animal here I feel there prices should be discussed ahead of just hitting you with the bill.
Do not come here ! This place did not take care of my cat and also did not give me my x rays that I paid for.
