Kelly is the best!!! I moved to OC and I find myself constantly coming back to LA just to have Kelly do my hair! I only trust her!

I came here twice now. I used to have the same hairstyle for years. After hearing some good reviews of Kelly, I just knew she would be able to change things up for me. Everyone really liked my new looks! That’s why I came back here again. She’s very kind. She taught me how to use hair wax for styling.

I’m disappointed. First of all, I had to wait 40 min until the main owner of the salon was ready for my appointment. Second, I got a perm and it felt like it took forever. Actually it did, total salon time was close to 5 hours. Third, after my perm, the town assistants dried my hair… But still left it wet. Absolutely no styling done and I looked like I got a perm straight from the 90s. The main stylist Currie didn’t even look at the final result or add anything. All I heard her say was put in oil into my hair. I am so so sooooooo upset at the results. Oh by the way she had the nerve to ask me if I had gained weight or something. I’ve been to this salon previously on several occasions. Ugh!

I never leave reveiws on Unilocal and just read other reveiws for myself, but I was compelled to write one because of the awesome outcome.
I’m a guy and like any other guy, we get haircuts once a month to get that nice fade in shape. I’ve been in 90% of all haircut places ranging from $ 5 to $ 35. and found this place to be the best. I mean, yeah you «get what you pay for» but in this case, people with sense of style and technical scissor skills cannot be measured nominally.
I usually get the ordinary «2 block cut» and have my sides really short. and a lot of hair stylists cannot accomplish with satisfaction. I usually close my eyes until its done bc I look like a freaking mushroom.
This place is highly recommended. I kept my eyes open and saw the crazy transformation of my hair. everytime I look in the mirror… I get surprised on how well the cut is. You know for guys, our makeup is hair and money. Nice hair=happy face.
Its usually $ 30 for complicated hairstyle but for simple haircuts like mine. its $ 25. I got mine from kelly kim. She is awesome!

Best hair salon in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Could not be happier with the service and professionalism they provide. Its like going back to super competitive hair salons Seoul, and getting the most amazing service you have ever received.
They know hair, and will make sure you look your best no matter the genetics. Girlfriend went here too and loved it. They stay updated with the latest trends, and make sure you make an appointment!

Great hair cuts! I just wish they didn’t look so pissed off all the time… I like to think it’s because they are so focused on cutting great hair it just appears that way.

Today was my first visit here and I must say it was by far the best experience I had so far with a salon in Ktown.
Ms. Currie knows what hair should look like.
Got my roots done with a trim and she stood by me throughout the whole process.
Her and her assistants did such a great job I didnt mind spending that extra dollar.

Great hair stylist Kelly. Does hair and makeup and makes u feel beautiful.
She’s a bit shy and timid, but really cute once you get to know her.
She has lots of talent and I can really trust her with my hair.

Btw, This salon accepts walk-in’s. BUT appointments are HIGHLY recommended. When they get busy… they are BUSY. And personally I would like to go when they say they’re not over booked then walk in when they are. Especially if it’s for a special occasion.

Currie knows what she’s doing. I’m never disappointed but it’s a bit pricey.

Aside from being a bit shy and spaced out my first time at Currie K Salon… considering I’d come in just after work. I really liked the hairstylist I met.
Tim Kim is very much like a sculptor… a sculptor of hair!!!
I enjoyed watching the way his hands were very gentle and fluid in motion as he trimmed and styled my initially butchered, curly hair. It had once been long and luscious, until a certain individual completely hacked it into mayhem. Not only did Tim completely «fix» my hair, but I’ve gotten so many compliments on it since walking out of the salon. Tim really knows how to stylize hair according to facial shape and — as in my case– momentary situations of misfortune. I can’t wait to grow it back out!

This is the best hair salon in Koreatown if not in LA. Currie has been cutting my hair for about ten years now and she’s getting better and better. Believe me… my hair is not really easy to cut. I don’t think people realize how difficult it is to cut a man’s hair that is receding as time goes by. In particular, I am amazed how my hair looks better as they grow out. I highly recommend it, particularly for men that is losing hair (embarrassing, but true). Obviously, i am told that Currie also does wonders for woman’s hair styling. :)

If you want hair that looks «better» as they grow out, THIS IS THE PLACE.
I don’t know what she does, but when she cuts your hair, your hair grows out the right way, the better way, the easy-​to-​manage way. I love her, my sister loves her, and even my mom loves her because really is the best at «cutting» your hair.
It does take longer than some other places as Currie & another guy are the only hairstylists there, but it is worth the wait. Yes, it is pricier than some other hair salons, but again, it is worth it as your hair will look better as it grows out!

Currie has a really good eye. I am pretty indecisive with my hair so in the end I tell her… I trust you, do what you think will be best for my face shape. And she always does a great job. That says a lot because many other hair salons I would give instructions and end up walking out frustrated and pissed. Not only will Currie listen but she also has great taste and a good eye. Love this place.

I love Currie K. I’m someone who loves to change hair styles frequently. I dye it, cut it, perm it, put extensions, etc. But, I can only do this at Currie K. Studio because my hair never gets damaged from her salon! I love her cuts and she always knows exactly how I want it. I can never go to another hair stylist. Plus, she always recommends the best hair products that will always save my hair from the torturous things I do to it like perm and dye.
I highly recommend Currie K Salon. Slightly pricier than other hair stylist but worth it!

if you want a perm that does not damage your hair,
hair stylist who is SERIOUS about her job and is super professional,
no sweet talk nor kissing up but is straight forward with your wild ideas for the hair cut,
does not push you to buy products,
and if you don’t mind paying 10~20% extra for your cuts
Currie’s the one you want to go see.
she’s the only hair stylist~ yet has five assistants who
massage your hair, get you coffee, plump cushion and magazines to read.
She uses top of the line products,
does superb on hair cuts and the best perms!
when my curiosity triggers I venture out to try the new comers in K town but i immediately come back to Currie. its weird how all my friends notice the difference in the bangs. she does magic with those scissors!
