Cute spa, love the vsteam will definitely be back for the vsteam… It’s a little packed in there but still gets the job done. Will go back again.

I live in Seattle, where we pretty much have only one Korean spa. I’ve been many times, but to get a body scrub + the entrance fee gets expensive. I got a body scrub here for half of what I pay in Seattle, and it was almost exactly the same. Only difference, I was the sole non-​Asian woman, people were blowing their noses in their hands as someone else noted, and the hot tub was WAY hotter (I love hot hot water, and I still had to work my way in.) Also, the woman who did the scrub washed my hair at the end, which I thought was a nice touch. Wish I’d known so I wouldn’t have washed my hair earlier that day.
Only negative, the nonslip mats on the floor really tore up my feet; I saw women wearing shower shoes, but I wasn’t offered any and didn’t think I needed to ask; an hour later, and my feet are sore and burning.

This is my absolute favorite spa! The staff is so friendly and the body scrub and massage is the best way to go. You leave feeling like a new person! I’ve been going here for 4 years now and every single time it’s been a great experience! Highly recommend it!

if you can’t get naked in front of women then this is not the place for you.

i have never done anything like this before or been to a korean spa so i had no idea what i was getting myself into lol, but because of the reviews i thought i would give it a shot.
I go to the small plaza and no lie the place looks kinda like a whole in the wall. so i look for the place and when i try t open the door i realized it was gated and you needed to ring a bell to be let in (its a women only spa) she lets me in and since i made an appointment i paid for my service before had and she handed me a boxed plastic container thing that came with two towels and a robe. also a key for a locker. she directed me to the locker because i told her its my first time and told me to take all my clothes of and go to the spa, i was kinda lost because i didn’t know there was a process. so i kinda walked in and was kinda trying to figure out my way around and the lady that did my service told me to go in the sauna then the hot tub then the cold tub. then she brought me to this table next to 2 other ladies getting their massage. i am literally butt naked laying on this table and she starts scrubbing me with the cloth like thoroughly. and when she had me turn to my side i had to open my eyes and all i see was all this dead skin all over me and the table (the table had this plastic thing on it so you can easily dump water on it) i didn’t know whether to be disgusted or excited knowing all the dead skin was coming off. anyways then she gave me face wash in my hand and had me go shower at the shower head by the area and wash my face and just rinse my body. then i go back on the table and she applies this goo stuff on me and wraps me in plastic. then she does y facial and leaves this mask on and while I’m marinating in all that, she washes my hair and gives me an amazing scalp massage! (dove), then once thats done she rinses my hair splashes my body with warm water to remove the stuff and has me shower again to get everything off my face and body, then i go back on the table and she massages me with this lychee smell so good oil or lotion.
hands down i loved the experience, the have heated jade floors where the korean ladies just lay there freely and watch their shows and they even have like women amenities so you can even get ready there after your service.
i only took away one star because i wish they kinda showed me around like the other Unilocal reviews and kinda explained what i needed to do.
BUT HEADS UP, remember how i mentioned the spa area
my korean friend told me that i was supposed to sit in the hot tub for at east 15 min to prepare my body for the scrub. so do that if you come here lol. if you get the scrub. also that tub was sooooooo hot i had to work my way to have my body fully in there.

I give this business two stars because my Mom loved her masseuse! And she does not have Unilocal!My eperience was not good. It was good because I probably losen all the tensions in my muscles. But bad because my masseuse really made her strokes so painful I had to keep telling her to step it down a notch. Furthermore, she was rude in that the way she wrapped the towel around my face and chin was pretty rough and it was hurting me. She never asked how the pressure was and never tells me what she was about to do. I felt like the whole time she was dragging the towels on my back and face and neck. I did not feel relaxed at all, but irritated. She is lucky that tips are customary or else she would not get not a single cent. I felt that she did not massage me with care and comfort. IT WAS ROUGH THE WHOLE TIME :(. There are certain things that we like rough… but not a massage! We want a relaxing massage… smooth strokes, just the right pressure, and comforting touch! Sorry but I would never come back here!
Plus side: Sauna, Collagen Mask, Milk bath, basically the whole body wash and shampoo experience was awesome.
Down side: Goodluck… I hope you get the masseuse that my Mom had because my Mom loved her experience. The masseuse name is Sunlee I think.

Going back to Olympic spa tonight made me remember why I had stopped going there when living here and switched to going to Daengki more often. This spa is pretty bare bones and what I imagine a very traditional sauna in a small town in Korea would be like. They even bake eggs in the sauna (which are delicious and I crave now and then), but it is a little weird to look over and see eggs baking when you are in the sauna. As odd as it sounds though I find that type of authenticity charming. The scrubs here are the best in town, have yet to have a service I wasn’t thrilled with. Plus it always is a happy place where everyone is friendly and all good vibes. Also I think the v-​pot treatments might be partially why I now have my wonderful daughter who is almost 2. After 6 months of v-​pot treatments I got pregnant right away after being told by doctors years ago I couldn’t likely conceive. Have so much gratitude and appreciation for this spa, hope I get a chance to come back and visit while I am here and do some treatments.

i’ve been to this place many years ago great place although its small an a bit out dated they are awsome. .im going to make an appt now for a scrub and massage i had the vaginal steam twice the second time i brought my girlfriend she loved it. i’ve also told my other girlfriend my coworker she only got the scrub and massage.

My first time getting the «V-​STEAM» Boy oh Boy!
I arrived at a good time considering the traffic. I am familiar with other cultures, so no shock to me when seeing women in the buff.
I was greeted with a smile and given quick tour. My guide was strict, lol! She seemed a tad annoyed when she lost my locker key and i still had on my flip flops. I smh head and prepped for the stream. After I tried to relax to the steam cleaning of the lady parts O_​O. My overall experience was nice and can go back. But not excited to pay $ 15 extra overtime I want a steam cleaning.

My sister and I came to this spa. This is our 2^nd time here. I have to say that this will b our last time also. We got the scrub and massage. The scrub was great! They r very thorough but the massage was ehh and painful. To top it all off we went to check out so that we can tip our ladies. The lady at the front desk said we have to tip 15% on our $ 70 scrub and massage. Which is fine. But then she proceeded to say we should give $ 14 or $ 15 dollars. Isn’t tip up to the clients discretion? I felt like we were forced to tip even though we didn’t get great service. Totally awkward! Never coming back here again. Going back to Natura!

This is my new favorite Korean spa in Koreatown. Why would I choose this dinky, tiny place over larger, newer, more well-​known spas like Wi Spa (that Conan totally promoted shamelessly in his latest bit)?
BECAUUUSE…
1. Because it’s not well-​known, there’s practically NO ONE there. I went on a weekday evening around 8PM and there were literally 5 people total in the whole place. I had all that space to myself to dance and sweat and roll around in my naked glory.
2. It’s dirt cheap. 20 bucks is all you need, or get the 10 visit pack for 15 bucks each.
3. They have a steam room, dry sauna, cold pool, hot pool, and showers. You don’t need no fancy clay shit or 300 degree rooms, people.
4. They have the full-​service scrubs with the crazy ass Korean ladies if you want it.
5. Lastly. And best of all. THEY HAVE THE SLOW COOKED EGGS. NOMNOMNOMNOM.
Trust me on this. You don’t need to go fancy when your objective is to rip off all the dead skin and come out a brand new woman. Oh and PS, this is for ladies only, no area for men here.

Korean spa. Got the Daegnki Special! Was swashed, scrubbed, rubbed, herbal wrapped to where my skin is amaaazing!!! Wow this place is the bomb diggity! I will def come back. Well worth the drive and price

This place has NO air conditioning. Very small facility. Feels like a sauna.
I’ve been to Korean spas before. I knew what to expect. But this place needs air conditioning! Might be better during the colder winter months?
Also, they listed a free facial mask when checking in with Unilocal and the lady at front desk said it was an «old deal» from last year. Well, it’s August and so they had 8 months to get that deal off Unilocal but didn’t. She didn’t want to honor it. And then about 10 minutes later she came and found me to give me the facial mask only because I said I would write about it on Unilocal.By that time, I discovered how hot and muggy the facilities were that I asked to have my entrance fee refunded.

I go here now to get my massages. It’s the best massage I’ve ever gotten. they hit every thing! Deff. Recommend coming here for the best massage of your life.
Just be warned; that you have to be totally naked as soon as you enter the spa; if you’re shy about your body — this may not be the place for you!

My good friend decided to treat me to a spa day for my bday and chose Daengki Spa because it was highly recommended by a Korean coworker. Little did we know that we would spend a few hours chatting away in the nude (0_​o) while being pampered in one of the best scrubs we’ve experienced!
I had my initial doubts as I pulled into the parking lot. The facility looked a bit worn down & small; nothing like the multi-​story Wi Spa I usually frequent. The lady at the counter was friendly & told us that Daengki Spa had been around for 30 years. It’s a smaller women spa but they’re well-​known for their scrubs. She carefully explained to us the different types of treatments offered. We chose to go with the Daengki Special, $ 120 for 2hr of pampering (scrub + seaweed body wrap + hot oil massage + facial).
We were given a bathrobe, some towels, & a locker key and instructed to put on the bathrobe after removing all articles of clothing. If you’re shy/​reserved, this place may not be for you because you’re pretty much nude the whole time. I was hesitant at first but it helped to realize that no one is staring at you and the staff is professional.
FACILITY
The 1^st room you enter has lockers, a heated jade floor where you could lay down on blankets & watch Korean shows, a small area where you can blow-​dry your hair, and refreshments & boiled egg for purchase. The 2^nd room has a steam sauna, 2 pools (one hot & one cold), shower areas, and massage tables at both ends of the room.
DAENGKI SPECIAL
The ladies were very thorough in exfoliating every inch of your body multiple times (3 or 4 times? I lost count). It was gross to see dead skin cells all around but it’s just a step towards smoother skin! Next was the seaweed body wrap and while you’re lying there marinating in herbal-​smelling green goo, you’re treated to a facial followed by a scalp massage while your hair is being washed. The oil massage was a bit painful probably because it was my first korean-​massage; she firmly pressed down on pressure points in different areas. But no pain no gain, right?
RESULTS
We were thoroughly impressed by the:
1) Amazing Results: Very soft skin after being pampered from head to toe. Probably lost a few ounces of dead skin weight, yet another WIN!
2) Great Service: from the friendly smiles to the small acts of kindness. We were given boiled eggs (steamed in their Salt room for 7hrs) to try because the lady was excited to introduce us to the customs of a typical korean spa.
It was a great experience that I’d highly recommend!

I used to work at Kabuki Springs and Spa in San Francisco, which is one of the best bath houses in all of California, so my expectations going into this place upon recommendation of my friend were pretty low.
The massage was firm and thorough and the scrub was no nonsense.
If all you’re looking for is brisk and efficient body work, then this place is decent.
You’re not going to get a proper relaxation experience, though. That’s not what this place is about.

A very dear friend (who happens to be 100% super crazy awesome Korean) offered to treat me with a day at her favorite spa. She told me there would be a scrub, massage, facial, hot tub, and sauna. I was IN! After I had agreed, she let me know that the spa is women-​only, and I would be expected to be nude for a portion of it. WHAAAATTT? Despite this, I still decided to go. As the only Caucasian in the joint, I managed to preserve my modesty with some towels and a robe, so I wasn’t uncomfortable. Everyone was super friendly, my skin is soft like a baby, the massage was great, I roasted myself to my heart’s content in the sauna, and I managed to not make eye contact with the spa’s naked patrons. I WIN!
Probably the most unusual experience I ever had, but for what it’s worth, it was great! I definitely recommend this place.

This is a very special place, hands down. Special in a very good way. I had zero expectations going into this place, as i try to be very open minded. I initially went just for the V-​treatment. However, after looking at their prices, I figured why not stay for a scrub and massage.
Oh Man, this was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I booked my next appointment before leaving. That is how great of an experience this was. Jin was amazingly helpful and friendly with getting me acquainted with the place; this having been my first time.
Ladies, take the no frills comment from another reviewer seriously. But i believe it adds to the charm of the place. These ladies know what they are doing and extremely thorough. I highly recommend you book an appointment. AH-​MAZING!

This review is in lieu of the money that I spend on my mommy whenever she comes to Los Angeles. I have a penis, and as such, I can’t get past the front door.
I’m fluent in Korean, and I work in Koreatown, so at the recommendation of several of the older women I work with and some of the clients I serve as a clinical social worker, I sent my mother here for some feminine pampering. My (step)mother is Mexican (but her father was half Korean), and doesn’t know a whole lot about Korean culture aside from the few things I tell her. Naturally, she was skeptical until after she had finished.
I sent my mother for a scrub, a massage, and a facial. I paid in advance and even gave her money for tipping before I left. This being her first experience, I expected it to be a rough ride until she had been around the block a couple of times.
Again, this woman that has raised me over the past 23 years never fails to surprise the fuck out of me. She enjoyed it and gave me a big kiss on the cheek! My mother doesn’t speak a lick of Korean, and she doesn’t even pretend. She said the ladies were wonderful, and that they all did a great job with her. My mommy has this ability to blend in and make friends regardless of gender or race, and it is one of the things that I admire about her. She doesn’t subscribe to stigma, nor does she point her fingers at others… except me, but let’s not talk about my childhood. Let’s talk about my mommy. She’s an exceptional woman, but even then, I am always wary of putting her in uncomfortable situations.
She struck up conversations with every person that provided her services. Broken English or not, she said that everyone was funny and nice to her. She took a chance with something so foreign to Mexican culture, and they took great care of her. I was delighted and even against my own expectations, this business surpassed every single one of them.
Thanks, ladies! I can’t wait to send her there again for a few hours.

Parking: limited private lot; they do offer valet service for less than $ 2

Bottom line, go here for your day/​evening of relaxation and body scrub fix!

The place actually looked incredibly shady from the outside and dinky and unsanitary inside! But the service and customer service was actually pretty superb.
If you been to other korean spas like Wii spa it is ¹⁄₃ of that place, but its Women Only spa! Walking around naked is normal and seeing old korean lady blowing their snot and picking body sore that bled was not. I was turned off by that and certain cleanliness that most OCD people would rather DIe than try this place out!
part of my deal was the V therapy (a pot of korean herbs that basically blow up your private area, supposedly help cure menstrual cramps and help with fertility) The spot was probably sat on by plenty of old saggy bums but I just went ahead and ignore that thought and embrace this experience.
My scrub was intense and def up to par, massage could of been more intense. Each time I felt like she was about to get a knot out, she moved on to a different spot (what a tease). I got my hair washed and a quick facial. The lady working on me def had her work cut out for her. she was constantly doing one thing after another.
