I brought my sister here last summer after the hot publicity in the Los Angeles Times. LACMA, on museum row in Los Angeles, is awesome.
David Hockney’s portraits are beautiful, simply because he cares to get to know the people he paints. You’ll find portraits of many of the same people– his parents, his lovers, his acquaintances… each painting accompanied with a short caption of his relation to the subject.
I also recall seeing a really hot guy here. hehe.

This is the best art exhibit this summer in Los Angeles. Go alone during lunch or bring a friend in the evening. David Hockney’s Portraits can connect with even the most fickle art lover, because his portraits are about real people, living in the modern world dealing with issues like loneliness, loss, love and all the other «L» words. No it’s not Showtime, it time to represent and appreciate a ture American Master, even though he is a Brit. Check out the website for more info.
