The mission of my practice is to bring healing from chronic/​acute pain or illness using the time-​honored traditions of Oriental Medicine. This process involves a complete medical intake, the translation of that intake into an Oriental Medical diagnosis, and then applying the methodologies of Oriental Medicine to give treatment.

Treatment will consist of modalities which insure both your physical and emotional well-​being including: Acupuncture, herbology, therapeutic exercises, site-​specific massage, nutritional guidance, Qi-​Gong, meditation, Reiki or visualization exercises. A patient will leave their treatment knowing what the root physical and/​or emotional causes of their illness are, and will be given a specific home care plan. The home care plan will include specific of dietary, exercise and meditation recommendations as needed.

The care I provide is comprehensive and designed to give you the results you want. We will work together for your health and well-​being.

History

Established in 1989.

My first office was across the street from my daughter’s grade school in Pacific Palisades. So each day after school she could do her homework while I worked. Those first years of private practice were very fun and involved alot of community work and public outreach.

I also taught Oriental medicine for the first 14 years of my practice. I knew that we needed to evolve how we taught information about acupuncture, so i went to Maoshing and Daoshing Ni, of Yo-​San University, to share with them my ideas. They were opening their own school at that time and hired me as one of their foundation teachers. During the 1990’s I was very busy with teaching, clinic supervision, private practice and 2 years as Academic Dean of Emperor’s College and Samra University.

During this last 14 years, my private, family practice is my focus. I continue to teach small classes on Oriental medicine to the public and enjoy watching the health improve of the many people who share my life and my medicine.

Acupuncturist & Reiki Healer

Denise Neumark-​Reimer has worked as a practitioner, teacher and clinical supervisor of Acupuncture, Oriental medicine, and Herbology since 1988. She received her Reiki Master certification in 1997 and has taught all 3 levels of Reiki initiation.

Since 1989, Denise had been on the faculty at Emperor’s College, Samra University and Yo-​San University. During the years of 1993 – 1995 she was Academic Dean of Emperor’s College and Samra University.

Denise retired from University teaching in 2002 to focus on her private, family practice. Since then Denise has developed public classes grounded in Traditional Oriental Medicine and these classes cover the diverse topics of meditation, herbology, personal energy management, and Reiki healing techniques. Denise previously served on the board of directors at One Thousand Joys and is currently teaching Reiki Healing classes at The Wellness Center.
