Been to half the tile stores in the city and the wide selection and low prices cannot be beat at Discount Tile Center. If you want a one stop shopping experience this is your place. They are very straightforward on pricing and are very accommodating with regards to taking samples to try out. John is very helpful and and super organized when getting your order in and delivered. They truly deserve 5 stars…

At first I was not a big fan of the store. It seemed a bit unorganized and I didn’t enjoy looking through all the samples. But then I went back with my architect/​kitchen designer, and she helped me navigate my way through all the samples.
I bought backsplash tiles and my Caesarstone countertops here. In the end, we found exactly what we needed and the prices were excellent. They held onto my order for several months while we worked on the remodel. When I was ready to pick up the tiles and countertops, I just gave them a call and they had everything ready.
I also went to other tile stores that were better organized and had neater displays, but ended up finding exactly what I needed by digging through the displays here.

ZERO STARS. I can’t believe this place. After much yelling at them for being late, they said the tiles will be at their store on Monday and pick them up Tuesday. We show up Tuesday and the tiles are not there. No one called us to let us know that there was further delay. The OWNER can’t care less about the inconvenience caused. He starts telling us their driver was late going to the warehouse and by the time he got there the warehouse was closed. But they couldn’t call us to let us know!!! I don’t want to use curse words here but imagine it if you will.

They came through when it counted. I was looking to match broken tiles in order to get my security deposit back. Discount stole had them when no one else in town had them. They matched the broken tiles exactly.

This place absolutely blows. Better double check your orders. if you order say 200 square feet of tile, they ship short amounts and try to get you to buy more. But yes they bill for the full amount. My experience here left me feeling ripped off.
in the long run they are not cheaper. You’re better off going to Home Depot. Don’t waste your time and money here.

Service was fine as was the tile selection. However, I cancelled part of my order for $ 400 after spending $ 1758 at this location last week, and the credit still hasn’t been applied to my credit card a week later

So far, so good! After several bad experiences at other stone and tile shops around the greater Los Angeles area, we finally feel like we have a winner.
Found Discount Tile by accident, initially intending to visit Venice Tile across the street. Thankfully they were closed and we spotted DT across Venice Blvd.
Walked in with a clear and firm budget ($ 5k) for tile in 3 bathrooms. Knew for the most part what we liked materials wise and what we didn’t. The showroom manager, John, was incredibly helpful. He helped make budget conscious suggestions with aesthetic in mind, and even after the first pass at a quote came back higher than our budget allowed, John reworked the numbers and got us under our max cap without sacrifice quality, look, or feel. He was patient with us and felt like a true partner in the process.
We walked out with samples of just about everything we ordered and he even offered to help us purchase competitively priced Carrara marble for our countertops (DT only sells the more expensively priced Caesarstone). Upon presenting our quote, John told us that if we could find a lower price on any of the materials we purchased, that he would write us a check for the difference. How bout that!
We have yet to receive our materials as the order was just placed, but were promised approx one week for delivery for most of the tile. As long as everything is delivered as promised and guarantees are upheld, I have absolutely no hesitation to give Discount Tile a full 5 stars. More soon!

I would highly advise not to engage in any kind of business with this company.
they are liars, shady, unprofessional, over charging for tiles and beyond unfriendly that it makes me want to throw up even thinking about my experience.
I can’t believe how many times my order was delivered wrong and the salesperson started telling at me. wait, what?! yelling at me for your own mistakes!!!
wow, let’s see who is sorry when others read all the negative reviews and don’t walk into those doors anymore…

I’ve had nothing but great experiences here. I remodeled an entire house, and must’ve checked out 20 tile stores, none of which impressed me. Finally a neighbor recommended Discount Tile Center, which was by far my favorite in terms of selection (many contemporary and modern options), and price (same tile options were double elsewhere). Nancy & Liz are extremely helpful, and every tile order has arrived in a timely fashion, in perfect order. I’ve had to reorder extra tile on multiple occasions and had no issues. If they’re helping someone… just wait.

Do yourself a favor and believe the bad reviews, they are true. They made me come 3 times from across town, saying they had received the sample I had asked for. They even called me to say they had fedex’ed it overnight and it was there. When I came, they could not find it and had the nerve to tell me it was backordered by the manufacturer. They could not even find the paper with the pictures of the tiles and my contact information.
I lost a lot of time dealing with them, and in the end my bathroom is now delayed because I haven’t been able to see the tiles I wanted to order.
They might be ok with contractors, but if you’re not in the business I would not recommend them. Terrible customer service.

Pretty good selection. They have a lot of their samples mounted so it’s easier to flip through. And although it’s not the biggest store, most of the things they carry are good quality. Decent prices. Overall, the staff was knowledgable and helpful. They were nice and professional.

The service is not good but the tiles and prices often come through. I suggest great patience here, and realize you will know to know what you are looking for before entering. If you are a take charge person and know aesthetic needs, you’ll do we’ll however.

Perhaps the most unprofessional business I’ve dealt with to date. They’re quick to take your order and useless from this point on. My experience with them spans over a decade and their business tactics and service have only gotten worse. Don’t buy anything that isn’t in front of your face and in stock. Even their recommend of an installer was a horrible choice. The single star is one more than they deserve. STAY AWAY.

Love this place. John is fantastic. R a little patient and you will be rewarded with great prices and excellent quality tile.

Lots has been mentioned about the challenges with service at Discount Title Center and I will confirm, in my many years of dealing with them and observing how they interact with other consumers and contractors alike, it is true… Sometimes it feels like they just do not want to sell you anything.
You could be standing on the showroom with hundred dollar bills cement taped to your naked body and none of the sales people would even notice you. They are just not «sales» people, and the pay off is that you will get a better price if you walk in their knowing EXACTLY what you want.
However, my recent experience was brought up a notch by a new team member, Bell. She was very knowledgeable about manufactures, very patience, made great suggestions and all of our orders were available, accurate and delivered in time.
My advise, if you have a home project and need tile. Hit some of the higher end showrooms first to get a feel for what is available, educate yourself on materials and manufactures. Browse Discount Tile Center, but when approaching a sales person, know what you want.
AND always avoid online websites.

BEWARE! This is my first Unilocal review, motivated by my disgust with this store.
Initially had a great experience in-​store. John was really helpful and attentive and helped us put our order together. Selection was great and prices seemed fair.
But then… when we picked up our tile, they were a nightmare! Half of the order was WRONG, totally different than what we talked about, and they were incredibly rude and unhelpful in correcting the problem! Woudn’t return calls, then said «no returns», then said they would only give me store credit, then told me I’d have to pay a 30% restocking fee … all when I was trying to simply return an order that was incorrect and THEIR mistake! Unbelievable. Took me hours of my time to finally get my $ back.
Believe the Unilocal reviews and AVOID this place at all costs. At the end of the day, they’re nice until they have your money and then after that, they show their true colors as crooks.

One word– awful. Ok, three words– keep shopping around.
Nothing discount about them. I walked in on my own, one of the guys called the manufacturer of the item I was interested in, they had a quick convo on the phone, he asked for «retail» price and then quoted me something outrageous for brick. Brick! Not fancy tile. Brick.
I went to Imperial Tile in Van Nuys and for the exact same product from the same manufacturer it was $ 4 less per sq ft. Made a huge difference and I bought from Imperial instead.
If I could choose no stars I would.

The reason to go to Discount Tile is the amazing selection and pricing – not the customer service! They have, or can get, almost any tile imaginable. They also have an impressive selection of hand-​made glazed ceramic tiles. The guys who work there are knowledgeable and can answer questions and I feel like I always get a fair price.
Unfortunately, their customer service is non-​existent, and often borders on outright rude. Delivery dates for orders are often missed without apology and wait-​times for in-​store often and you may be interrupted multiple times.
Again, the selection is amazing and the prices are generally fair, but don’t expect very good service.

I have bought a lot of tile from them over the years. Recently, I had to redo my shower because it was not done right and had to buy the same tile all over again. I went back to Discount Tile with the sample and my original receipt from 2 years ago. I thought the price would be the same or pretty damn close. Man was I wrong!
I paid $ 13.70/sq ft 2 years ago. The same sales guys tried to charge me $ 18.99/sq ft for the same tile. He said the prices went up from the manufacturer and would not even work with me. He told me to shop around and he would match the best price I could find. WTF? You want me to shop around so that you can then price match? Seeing that I have spent thousands at your store and am buying the same tile why can’t you give your absolute best price now? I understand everything costs more these days but seriously a nearly 40% increase.
Anyways, I went across the street to Venice Ceramic Tile & Marble and got the same tile for $ 15 a sq ft! I then called the sales guy back at Discount Tile and told him I found it cheaper. He said he would match the price even though it was very close to his cost. I told him no thanks since I bought it already from an honest store that values their customers. He said that he was sorry but it wasn’t worth it for them to only make $ 25 profit on a deal. I told him that was terrible customer service after all I have spent there in the past and I will never go back again.
I was so mad I had to come home and Unilocal about it.

Pro– you may save some money compared to other places. They also have a good variety
Con– took them a while to finally help us, gave us the wrong tile. They didn’t even check it. We had to check it ourselves and since the color was off we had to return it. Not even an apology for the inconvenience and time wasted.
