Angie is amazing !!! She does training walks with my dogs, which is so helpful for reinforcing what they know and keeping them from pulling on walks and barking at other dogs/​people. She’s clearly invested in training and flexible with techniques she uses to meet the needs of each dog. Even with my two, she would change interventions to what each dog responded to.

My wife and I adopted a Mastiff/​American Bull Dog a few weeks ago that needed a few lessons and some day care. I was browsing trainers and dog walkers thru the web and came across Angie (Doggie’s Ade). We decided to give her a try and we were sold after just speaking to her on the phone. Angie truly loves what she does and she loves our pup as much as we do. We really got lucky with finding Doggies Ade! The training has been working and our boy is showing great improvement. We are currently still using Angie for some training and day care and continue to be very happy, our boy is SUPER HAPPY to say the least!

Angie has been walking and boarding my dog Zoe for almost 3 years now and she has been great. Very reliable and on time but most importantly, cares for her client’s dogs like they are her own.

Better late than never with this review! We discovered Angie through this site and couldn’t agree more that we were lucky to find Angie! She has such a great calming presence with the dogs. We had to go out of town for a week and thought it would be a great time to have someone start addressing certain behaviors with our two Maltese dogs Jocy and Pixel (who are 9 and 7 years old) including pulling while walking and barking at other dogs and also barking anytime anyone came to the door or entered our yard. They also had some separation anxiety. In only one week Angie had them comfortable in their crate and addressed their anxiety. They now barely bark on our walks and only pull occasionally and they have just been much better behaved overall, even at home! We wouldn’t say it’s a miracle, but it’s close. The best part about the whole experience has been that Angie always makes herself available to discuss matters and provide suggestions and she cares enough to keep checking up on us and our dogs even when we’re too busy to let her know ourselves. We will definitely be going to her again to continue to make our dogs happy and secure and HIGHLY recommend her services to anyone in need of help with their dogs. Thanks Angie!

Angie has been taking care of my Gordon for awhile now and I have never been disappointed. When i come home after knowing they walked together, he is all smiles! Angie had been taking care of our two bichons for the last year. They love her, she is very responsible and very committed to take good care of them. Definitely we recommend her.

Angela was just what we needed to get our pit bull Darla back on track! She was quick to get started, get sessions scheduled, and had tons of energy and drive to fix Darla’s issues. She taught us useful skills, which gave us confidence to walk Darla past any dog or person with confidence! She even did a session with Darla’s brother OThello so I could learn to handle both of them efficiently. Highly recommend her services!!!

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Angie & her walking/​training services. Angie has been walking our 5-​month old husky, Skye, for the past month and we have seen noticeable changes in both Skye and ourselves.
We knew how critical it was to find the right person to take our puppy on daily walks since these are her most formative months. Angie has patiently guided Skye’s development over the past month and has instilled in her an understanding of basic commands (i.e. off, leave it, focus, come, etc.). She has also taught me & my husband ways in which we can reinforce these commands at home. From the beginning, Angie has stressed the fact that dog training is a 24-​hour process and that shaping your dog’s behavior is a very repetitive, time-​consuming process. Although Skye is far from perfect and still has the frenetic puppy/​Husky energy, Angie has continually shared training tips & scenarios with us so that we are equipped with the knowledge to manage Skye effectively when her behavior becomes challenging.
One of the things I appreciate most is the update texts that Angie sends after each walk. Her updates are detailed, thorough, and full of tips: which commands they worked on that day, things that scared/​surprised Skye and how she helped her overcome it, who/​what Skye interacted with that day, etc. She also sends pictures, which we really love — nothing makes your day like a picture of your happy puppy walking in the sunshine!
We highly recommend a combination of training walks & regular walks, especially in the beginning. Skye really benefitted from the training walks and became much more receptive to our commands; it’s definitely a worthwhile investment if you are comparing the two types of walks from a cost perspective.

I have had Angie train my 4 yr old Maltese for the past few weeks and we love her. I swear if I only started sooner I might not have the spoiled little girl I have today!!!

Anyway angie is sooo sweet and even drove over 1 hour to train my parents who take care of Happy a couple times a week — no extra charge… TWICE!
Angie is wonderful, has helped Happy bark less and behave better… and the most sincere and sweet gal ever. I am so happy to have met her thanks to Unilocal!!!:)

Angie is the trainer trainer’s go to.
Angie is a certified ABC (Animal Behavior College) Alumni and also accredited to be an ABC mentor, which entails those going through the course and are being graded for passing as a trainer, Angie is the final step. 8 hours with Angie, a written test and Angie’s approval before you become an accredited trainer, so she truly knows her work.
I was fortunate to call on Angie several times with dogs I was working with & some of the tips I learned I still use today on dogs I train. She was invaluable in assisting me to desensitize a un socialized Boxer and with her help and that of the dogs she had, the Boxer has made huge steps in tolerating others outside her comfort zone.
I worked alongside Angie on several occasions and she always used the ABC method of Positive Reinforcement, she loves dogs & respects people time and money. We visited several clients, went on dog runs and everyone spoke volumes about her work. It is evident upon meeting her and seeing her in action, that she has a special connection with animals & she has many clients who would use no one else and trust no one else with training, pet sitting or dog walking.
I have seen many sitters who open the door, fill up the water and don’t walk a dog or do what they have been paid to do. Angie does overtime ensuring the dog has everything it needs, walks them, plays with them and if there’s anything she notices, she will deal with it even train the dog should a behavior issue come up, all part of her working day.
She is honest, reliable, friendly and above all knowledgeable and I wouldn’t hesitate using her services or referring clients (as I do) when I do not have availability.

Angie is a lifesaver!!! I do not know what I would do without her! From our first meeting I knew Angie would take amazing care of my puppy. And my puppy, a rescue, is very cautious around new people, but she immediately ran up to Angie and happily jumped into her car. For almost a year now, Angie has been my go to for dog training and dog sitting. I have travel often, Angie has had my puppy for up to 10 consecutive days/​nights at times. Angie sends daily updates and pictures, which is so wonderful! She works on any issues my puppy is having during her visits. I know my puppy is in the best of care when she is with Angie, and that feeling is priceless!!! I could go on and on, but its really simple, Angie is the best!!!

Angie has been a lifesaver for us! We have a rescue dog who was very territorial of our place and who 2 other dog walkers had given up on bc he was aggressive towards them when we weren’t home. Angie worked with him for months, on a few occasions for hours at a time, so that he became comfortable with her and much better behaved around strangers in general. She’s now our regular dog walker and I appreciate her availability and flexibility given our chaotic work schedules and last minute changes. She’s great!

In my house & for the last 2+ years, we refer to her «Aunt Angie.» I frequently use Angie for weekend dog sitting. She’s professionally trained, good, reliable, available on short notice & my French bulldog Dickie LOVES her. I trust her — she has the keys to my house … need I say more?
Regarding the 1 star comment/​s, it takes a team (the trainer & the owner) to rid bad habits from a dog. Dickie had some aggressive tendencies that Aunt Angie worked on w/​him … & he’s a super mellow dog now. If the trainer’s advice is not diligently followed, the training won’t stick. And that’s all I have to say about that.

What a waste of $ 200. Here’s a disclaimer, I am not talking about the merit of this trainer. I am sure she must be great at what she does, considering all these glowing reviews. This review is only about how useless she was for us.
I own a teeny tiny now 6 month old maltese. He is a good dog for the most part, but about 2 months ago he was a pretty bad leash walker. Regular puppy stuff, 4 mo old puppies usually don’t know how to walk on a leash if they’ve never done it before. He was more like a deflated balloon as soon as we put the leash on him.
So I called Angie after reading all these reviews. Enough to say her training methods are not for us. I am all about hippie dippie positive reinforcement, and she’s not. She told me about some methods she’s had to use with more reactive dogs, which I guess one might need to but I am not comfortable trusting her to walk my dogs. During our consultation when Gustave wouldn’t walk by her side, she stomped her foot really hard in front of him and he got really scared. I had never seen him scared like that before this. And guess what? That only made him more crazy, instead of making him walk properly. I still let it continue because she sounded like she knew what she was doing and actually gave her a check for 5 lessons.
When we got back from the consultation, Gustave was a different dog, and not in a good way. He was running around aimlessly, being aggressive with us, jumping around, just the opposite effect of what a training lesson should be. So I called it off and ended up paying just $ 200 for the initial consultation. The only thing I got out of those $ 200 was knowledge of what kind of trainer I don’t want for my dog.
Btw, I waited 2 months to write this review because now Gustave walks perfectly on a leash, without any forceful training methods (and this was after we took a 2 week break in between after his neuter). This makes me feel confident to say if your dog is not an overly reactive dog and you’re just looking for a trainer to correct minor issues, this dog trainer might not be the one for you.

Angie has been with us since the first day we brought home our guy Chachi, and she has been an integral part of our lives ever since! She’s helped us with all of his obedience training — everything Chachi knows is because of Angie! Even before we started working with her, she spent about an hour with my husband on the phone, giving him advice and asking questions so I could tell she is the kind of person who really loves what she does and truly cares about her clients.
Angie takes care of Chachi during the week and overnight when we travel, we always rest assured that he’s in the best hands. She even texts us pictures which we absolutely love! Chachi just adores being with her and being part of her pack! In addition to being an amazing trainer, Angie is flexible and reliable.
We love Angie and highly recommend her!

Angie helped so much with Aka. He was spraying everywhere. He couldn’t walk well on a leash. He would pull, run after dogs, run after squirrels and lizards. My husband and I would always end up getting hurt. So, I called Angie. She saved us!!! Our dog is a joy to walk now. He listens and obeys. What a difference some training makes.

We adopted our dog, Wilson from a rescue, and although he is a total sweetheart, he came with some bad habits. He had a terrible pulling issue on walks, and was extremely over-​enthusiastic (to say the least) when we met other dogs. He would lunge and fixate on them until he could drag me over to sniff the other dog out. Since he is a 90-​lb lab, walking him got to be an anxiety ridden chore. We tried harnesses and prong collars, but to no avail.
We met with Angie for a private lesson, and she gave us some really great practical tips that yielded instant results. I now have a better idea of how to read the dog, and give him cues to correct his behavior — verbally and with the Pet Corrector. We had previously taken him to a dog training course at Petsmart in hopes of the class on socialization would provide some insight, but the lesson focused behavior modification with treats, which would’ve been great over the long-​term but it didn’t address the issue of his lunging whenever he saw a dog across the street. I needed a quicker solution, and Angie was ten times more helpful because the results were noticeable immediately after the session. Wilson is still not perfect, but he has come a long way. Angie’s work with us and our dog Bubba has been awesome! She’s taught us so much in how to «read» our dog and how to be a good pack leader for him. The improvement in both him and us has been SO incredible!
We had just gotten Bubba through a rescue and though he was a super sweet dog, he had really bad habits while walking (extreme pulling, aggression to other dogs, barking at skateboards and bikes) and seemed to have spotty crate training.
As a result, I immediately enrolled Bubba in a beginning obedience class at Petsmart, which resulted in embarrassing disaster. Our sweet little dog went bat-sh*t crazy with the other dogs and was a total problem child! We tried a second class to see if our luck (and Bubba’s attitude) might have changed, but to no avail. The trainer at Petsmart was very knowledgable, but I felt like she should have told us that Bubba needed more training & socialization before he could attend a «public» class. I felt like we were a disruption to everyone else in the class and we could hardly learn anything under the circumstances. I felt like that mom who has a screaming child having a tantrum and I had no idea how to fix it or deal with it!
Since having a well trained and behaved dog is an absolute necessity in our living situation, I then decided that having one-​on-​one training with a reputable trainer was worth the extra money. Based on the Unilocal reviews I read, I chose Angie based on her perfect 5 star rating and that she seemed to provide a more personal touch — rather than operating a large facility with set hours.
From the very first phone consultation (which lasted over an hour!) Angie displayed care and interest in Bubba and how to help him and us. The first in-​home consultation resulted in teaching us little tips and tricks to get Bubba to walk with us smoothly and how to make his crate more of a haven and less of a jail cell. In the same session, we also went to the dog park and onto the boardwalk so she could observe his other peccadillos and already start to correct them.
Since then, Bubba has improved in leaps and bounds — especially since we know what OUR mistakes were and how WE could improve. In the last six weeks, Bubba has learned to walk properly on the leash (most of the time ;)), sit, stay, lay down, sit up, OFF, and «leave it». He’s no longer a total a**hole when meeting other dogs and is learning a few tricks like «crawl» and standing up on his hind legs. He goes into his crate on command, goes to «his» place when being punished, and gets off the furniture when told.
So far we’ve only used Angie’s daycare service once, but I felt like it was totally worth $ 45 to have Bubba out and active for the day, while taking advantage of the fact that additional training is built into the daycare! I’m sure we’ll be relying on Angie in the future for additional daycare and short term boarding (ie. doggie camp!).

We met Angie by accident the very first weekend we got our 10 week old Pomeranian – Thank HEAVEN! Cody is my first puppy, first dog, everything and I was going out of my mind!
Angie turned Cody into the very best dog ever. We gave her our key and she came over M-​F while we were at work to take him out for training. She also kept him for us sometimes when we traveled. Cody is almost a year old now and is perfectly socialized. He loves people and every dog, big or small. He rarely barks in that annoying Pom way and everybody loves him back. He was sitting on the floor with my 2-​year old cousin the other day eating from her hand and neither I nor her mother were worried that he would bark or growl or bite or do anything not perfectly sweet with the little girl.
Angie took the time to train my husband and me as well so that we could reinforce her lessons. And she regularly checked in with us by text to let us know how things were going and ask us if we wanted her to work on anything in particular.
I just moved to Miami where I put Cody into Doggie Daycare. He is far and away the favorite dog there. All of the staff rave about what a sweetheart he is and how they always know they can trust him to play with ANY dog they have there. They warn me that when we get another dog we may be disappointed since Cody is EXTRA Special. I actually believe it is Angie who is extra special and that Cody’s excellent personality is mostly due to her firm but loving hand with him.
Also, he is still a puppy, so he still goes crazy from time to time. A few weeks ago, I accidentally lost control of his leash and he ran toward the busy street wanting me to chase him. I screamed «STOP» at him. Thank goodness Angie drilled «Wait» and «Stop» into him because he stopped on a dime (even though I often forget to work on those commands with him). I’m positive that Angie’s training saved Cody’s life – or at least his limbs – in that instance! You won’t be sorry you hired her.
