Dylan and Trace did such a nice job of taking care of our cat while we were away for about a week. Eastside Petsitters is really easy to communicate with via text message updates, and we also love getting their photos, too!
On top of that, we appreciated how they worked with our kitty, who can be extra shy around new people. They were able to get her out from hiding, and greeting them when they arrived!
This has been our favorite service for pet sitting, by far!

Meg has been taking care of our kitty family for nearly ten years and we trust her implicitly. We travel frequently and Meg always looks after our kitties as if they were her own — giving medications during difficult times, following ever changing feeding instructions to the letter and responding like a hero when the front door lock broke while we were overseas. We cannot say enough good things about Meg, Trace and Eastside Petsitters. Professional, quality service with hearts of gold.

Nicole is MY GIRL. I went on my first vacation after rescuing a couple of homeless kitties and called Meg for a sitter. She hooked me up with Nicole, who honestly couldn’t be lovelier, but I was so nervous to leave my little babes because they are afraid of everyone. NOT NICOLE. The pictures she sent showed them showboating their butts off to impress her. She handled my crazy cat lady histrionics with calm and a sense of humor & treated my kitties like gold. I am so relieved to find someone I can rely on. Look no further. She is the best.

Dylan and Trace have been taking care of our 3 kids for over 3 years when we travel.
One time I caught my Baker wagging his tail looking out the window, thinking he sees Dylan walking by, alas, it wasn’t Dylan, but I realized that Baker looks forward to seeing Dylan and now, I don’t feel so bad when we leave for a few days.

We’ve been using east side pet sitters for several months now, and can’t say enough positive things about Dylan — he’s the best! We use him 2 – 3 times a week, along with a few over-​night stays, and he’s always prompt and super flexible, which we really appreciate. He also sends us pictures of the pups whenever he visits, which is great.
I would highly recommend this pet sitting service to anyone; they’re amazing.

Meg has taken care of our cats since we moved to Los Feliz about four years ago. She is amazing. Not only does she care for our furballs, but she is so accommodating and entertains all of our overprotective neuroses, and our cats’ personality quirks. Not that I encourage this, but she has been available for us even on super short notice. She is punctual and always provides a quick text update & picture during each of her visits. She has taken great care of a special needs rescue and one of our dearly departed cats, coming by to give him his scheduled meds and cleaning up his messes. It’s comforting to go out of town trusting that your pets are in great hands. We highly recommend Meg and Eastside Petsitters!

Meg is a. mazing, and I am so happy I found her. I actually think my dog may love her more than me. Frankie warmed up to her instantly upon their first meeting, and my pooch just «gets» good energy. Meg has been walking her regularly over the past few months and each and every day that I get home after a Meg walk day, Frankie just can’t wait to tell me about it. She does laps around the living room as if to say, «you will never ever believe what happened while you were gone!»
This is an entirely different response than I get when I take her to the groomer.
I love my little dog and want her in the best care possible when it can’t be mine. Meg is incredibly responsive and responsible, and sends me pics every time they are on a walk. I could not ask for a more perfect human being to care for my perfect non-​human being.

Affordable. (I’ve realized all my good reviews have the word affordable in them…)
We’ve had Trace and Iris walk our 2 little Goober Beans (Cocker Spaniels) when we’re at work (1 – 3 times a week, 12 hour night shifts), they are willing to come late 10pm-​12am. Which works out great since we walk them around 4−5pm when we leave for work and again in the am around 8 when we’re getting back.
I LOVE and appreciate that they always send us a picture and their output updates every time. I have worried about Gunner’s inconsistent pooping from time to time so it’s really great to get that info from them. The dogs are happy when we get back in the morning.
Also, want to mention they are sooo flexible! Sometimes we get a late call from work and don’t need a walker, we’re able to get in touch that same night around 5 – 6 to cancel. There are never hidden fees or cancellation fees. Their prices are so straightforward and available online. They charge for their time, not the amount of pets you have.
They’re also willing to feed your pets too. I’ve heard Trace can even do IVs for pets. Very happy we found this service.

Meg (and her associates) are just the best. We always know our guys are in great hands and it makes us feel so much more comfortable leaving them. Both cats adore Meg (they often come running to say hi when she comes by to drop off/​pick up keys) and they’re always happy and clearly well cared for when we return. Bonus? Meg texts us pics of the cats and I swear they’re some of the best photos we have of them! Pet sitting plus bonus photography skills… what’s not to love?

Meg has been my Leia’s pet sitter going on four years now. She is amazing! If I could give ten stars I would! She’s so good with my baby girl and I know and can trust that Leia is in good hands with Meg while I’m away. She sends pictures and updates every day that I’m out of town. I can’t even begin to express how much of a wonderful service she is doing by sending those pics and updates. My cat is my four legged furry kid so I worry about her when I’m away like a parent!
Leia is a special needs cat so when I was hunting for pet sitters and Meg mentioned her personal experience with a special needs cat of her own I knew I had found the right one.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. I was VERY hesitant after I used another well-​known petsitting company who had a ton of good reviews — but was very disappointing. So if you are reading this and are stuck between Eastside Petsitters and another place — look no further.
Our go-​to guy was Trace. He personally came to meet me and my fur babies, Stevie and Nesta. My pups are CRAZY and he was so patient and sweet with them. And talk about idiosyncrasies. They have about a million. Trace took notes and was very attentive with them. And he wasn’t just the person who conducted the interview. He actually walks the dogs. Other companies send someone out who is competent and nice to make you feel reassured — but then they send different people to actually take care of your animals. Not so with Eastside Petsitters. Who you meet is who you get.
Trace always made himself available on short notice, too. I am able to text him (sometimes the day of) if I need him to come.
Finding someone who actually WANTS to come take care of your dogs and isn’t distracted by the other jobs they wish they could be doing instead is rare. And let’s face it — my dogs are my babies. And I love them no matter how many shoes they eat or times they fart on me. There was never a doubt in my mind that I could trust Trace with them. And because he was so wonderful and all my communication with the owner, Meg, was great — I’d trust their other employees, too.
Use these guys! You will not be disappointed. Trace is the man!

I have never felt more strongly about a positive review than this one. Meg is the best dog walker you’ll ever see on this earth. We’re so grateful we found her.
We’re admittedly overprotective dog owners – all of our friends make fun of us for it – and so we basically approached finding a dog walker like choosing a college. We did a ton of research, arranged meetings, called references. Meg was the clear winner, and now, a year later, it’s easy to see why all of her clients were so enthusiastic, because we’re right there with them.
Our dog Eleanor loves meg – she gets excited & happy when she hears her voice. That’s the most important thing. We’ve seen Meg walking dogs in the neighborhood and she’s fantastic with them. She walks one dog at a time and they get her full care and attention and love. She’s a close observer – she knows Eleanor’s personality and habits well, so she can let us know if something is different or off.
She sends a picture text every walk and it just brightens my day to see our cute little dog while I’m stuck at work.
Finally, both Jon and I have pretty hectic work and travel schedule and Meg’s flexibility and adaptability with schedule changes, often on very short notice, has been a total life saver on many occasions. She’s amazing, pet owners of Los Angeles. Seriously. It is not physically possible to find a better dog walker.

I can’t believe I hadn’t reviewed Meg until now! Someone below described her as the pet-​sitting goddess, and I couldn’t agree more. I’ve recommended her to basically anyone who ever asks «sooo…what are you doing with the cats when you go out of town?»
When I first asked Meg to watch my cat while I was going out of the country, she came over to my house to collect a spare key and start my file. She met my cat and took detailed notes on how to care for him — from his food, water and litter needs, which toys he likes, where he goes to the vet (in case of an emergency) any special needs he has, and any plants I’d like watered or any mail to be brought in. She has stopped by in person to update my file before I go out of town when there any any big changes — like a move, or when my boyfriend moved in with his cat, who she also watched.
She’s always left me a welcome home note with her invoice (and her text/​emails of photos of the cat is pretty much the best thing ever!) and drops by the key when I’m back in town.
If you’re considering her, you’ve already read the glowing reviews below, but I’ll add mine to the list!

If you ever need a pet sitter, this is it! Great, friendly service at affordable prices. I’ve only needed a pet sitter twice, and both times I used this service. Both times I had Dylan, who is awesome! I’ve only had experience with Dylan, but I’m willing to bet the other pet sitters are great too! I would definitely recommend Eastside Petsitters!

Does Eastside Pettsitters really need another five star review? Yes!
We travel quite frequently, and Meg has been taking care of our two cats– one friendly, one rather hostile– for years now. Her text updates are so reliable, that last year when our plane landed in NC late at night and we had not received a text from her I realized (with horror) I had told her the wrong dates! It was after 8 PM pacific time, but she answered my call and was at our house within 90 minutes. That should earn a 6^th star alone.
Also worth noting, sometimes our neighbors chip in to take care of the kitties when we are away, and in those cases we end of giving Meg crazy schedules, e.g., come on monday, wed, fri AM, sat AM and PM, sun PM only, etc.- and it’s never a problem.
Def a plus that the plants are watered, mail is brought in and litter is swept up too. Yay!
Highly and enthusiastically recommended.

I found this place through Unilocal when i was searching for a pet sitter to sit for our dogs while our family went away for a few days. I called this place due to the reviews and also a few others. Since i was looking for a sitter that would be available for Christmas, I knew it was going to be hard to find one. Most places i called said they didn’t have sitters that worked my area.
I called Meg and left her a message and she called me back within hours and confirmed availability with Dylan.
I was a little nervous since we have never used a sitter before and we would be leaving the keys to our house with a stranger but as soon as our family met Dylan, we right away could tell that he was trustworthy and honest. He just gives out a good vibe.
Dylan met our 3 pitbulls and we scheduled about 3 more visits before we left for vacation.
Dylan was great about calling us with updates and sending us pictures and texts. He’s a very responsible and respectful. He even talked to our dogs in Spanish since they’re bilingual lol.
We will definitely be calling Dylan next time we need a sitter. We plan on calling him even if we are not going anywhere just so our dogs won’t forget about him :)

This review is specifically for Trace, and its long overdue.
Trace took care of our two cats (Teddy and Chloe) about half a dozen times last year. He was wonderful. When he came by the first time to meet my cats – one of whom can be a bit skittish – they instantly took to him. Three or so times my fiancé and I decided to leave for a weekend on a whim, and Trace was always easy to get in touch with, and easy to arrange details about pet sitting with.
I loved how Trace would text me updates each day, with pictures of my cats. I could tell from his sweet texts, and the notes that he would leave each time giving me updates about the cats, that he was genuinely caring towards our cats. I think it’s always hard to leave your pets under that care of someone you don’t know well, but with Trace I instantly felt like I could trust him to care for my cats as if they were his own.
I appreciate Trace even more now that we have moved and have to use another pet sitter. We live in San Francisco now, and we left our cats under the care of another pet sitter while we were gone for Christmas. When we came back the cats were skittish and needy and the apartment smelled like they had expressed their hostility about being abandoned in random corners of our home. I don’t know what Trace did differently, but whenever we returned after Trace had been caring for them, Teddy and Chloe were always content, calm and even a little bit blasé about our return.

Every one of these reviews is exactly how I feel and how Meg took care of our cats.
We have a 14 year old lover who will try to lick you to death, but also a rescue kitty who is really really shy.
Meg came over to get the lay of the land, and the girls were both a bit shy. So she got to know the lay of the land and took copious notes and even asked questions about things we didn’t even think about. She was also house sitting around the corner a dog, so she knew the area well.
Well within two days of being away the emailed pictures were great. She came to actually play with them and got our little scared kitty to emerge from her hiding spot under the bed. And by the end of our trip Shadow was out and playing.
We felt great and relieved as th trip went on. Meg is super courteous and thoughtful. She will definitely be the first call next trip. As both cats were in good happy moods when we got home. Known of those angry looks of where have you been. Meg even cleaned up extra litter that they get all over the kitchen floor.
The whole experience was fantastic!

Let me first say that when I found Eastside Petsitters (via Unilocal), I was VERY nervous. I had had numerous AWFUL experiences with my previous pet sitting service (the Pet Staff) & I prayed to never have to experience that kind of thing again.
Meg brings new meaning to amazing. She is always prompt, reliable, efficient & honest. Thanks to Meg I am beyond happy & lil kitty is happy too :-)
