I would say more of a 3.5. This place still doesn’t top my fave place for pupusas, but it did satisfied my craving. We got the chicken y queso and queso y loroco pupusas, both of which were okay. The pupusas are made fresh, so that is always a plus. The place is small, but cozy and definitely mom and pop! If you’ve never had pupusas, this is a great place to try!

Real salvadoran cheese, real beans, friendly family and properly cooked pupusa an awesome, under-appreciated and rare combination. Best place I’ve found so far, and I grew up on pupusas

Im kind of on the fence with this restaurant. I want to give it a 5 star but i just got through giving high praises to Juilisco#2 right down the street. Ill just say that this place comes in at a respectable #2 spot. I find it extremely difficult to mention how good pupusa are since they are nothing more than cheese in masa. I dont want to take from the goodness of this place really, ill just say that whatever cheese they used it tasted mighty good. Sorry i dont know the days that you can get it cheaper. I think it might be a Thursday not sure. Please dont hang that over my head. Im tired and trying to write a half ass review for some excellent tasting pupusas. Long story short. Inside is clean and large enough to accomdate even the largest of all Latino families. extended memebers neighbors and all. lol The staff is as about as friendly as it’s gonna get for that part of town. Yes they wash their hands and only have one lady making them. at least the day i went they did. Ill just politely volunteer to end this now before i write a bunch of non needed immaterial crap. Just a quick favor for anyone if you could? Could someone please tell the people in there i was only taking pictures so that i could Unilocal about it later on. You should have seen how the lady that worked in their today looked at me when i snapped this photo. I think they thought i was trying to get them on some type of lawsuit or something and it’s not like i could explain in my not so well Spanish.“IMACTUALLYTRYINGTOHELPYOURBUISNESSLADY, NOTHURTYOUINANYWAY”. Oh well, im sure Unilocal will eventually catch on in that part of town too one day, Everyone over there is so defensive. lol
