Location is convenient since I work at Kaiser. Chicken is on point and salsa is always fresh. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu besides the chicken. Recommend if you’re in the area!

Great food. Chicken outstanding. Salsa bar always great fresh. Best Mr Pibb, ever. Only issue is parking. Worth the hassle.

I’ve lived near this place for a long time. They always have great food at a reasonable price. The fresh pico de gallo is always delicious and I get extra every time. The carne asada plate is my favorite and my second favorite is the quarter chicken special. My boyfriend and I can eat here, drinks included for around $ 20. Over the years, the food has been consistently great.

If you’re looking for a plain chicken burrito this is the place. And I do mean plain. The burrito and the quesadilla that I tried were pretty much flavorless. And forget about trying to add anything to the chicken burrito, once taken apart it cannot be put back together. The food wasn’t horrible but definitely not a place I would recommend if you wanted tasty flavorful food.

Got a pork burrito and instantly became disappointed to see it only had 3 tiny pieces of old pork and the rest was cheap beans and rice. It’s not even a real Mexican joint since the only employees here are a middle age Asian couple who look like they hate running this place and do the bare minimum to keep it alive.

Company is very reliable. Mike is always willing to help me when I order for company meetings and events. Always are very pleasant and their chicken is delish!

Delicious Mexican grilled chicken made by non-Mexicans. The best deal is their ¼ chicken with rice, beans and tortillas for under $ 5.00. I like that this place is not busy ever — I don’t know why, it’s actually pretty good. My one criticism is that they limit you to two salsa containers per order — I really like my salsa.

Great food. Everything is simple. No frills. Just great food. The couple that runs it are very accommodating and nice. We’ve been going for as long as I can remember.

I saw this place driving by thought I’d pay them a visit for lunch because the word«pollo»(chicken) caught my eye. It turns out it’s not a rotisserie chicken place at all but a grilled chicken restaurant serving similar plates to that of Pollo Loco. When I walked in, I saw all the chickens being cooked on the grill. They have a lunch special for $ 4.77 which includes a quarter chicken, rice and beans. I requested the beans be replaced with a salad and they were willing to accommodate me. There’s also a teriyaki chicken combination plate for the same price too. The chicken was pretty good, not as moist as it would be were it cooked in a rotisserie. The salad was simple being lettuce and a few carrots with some vinaigrette as a dressing. The rice is fluffy but a little on the dry side. They give you three warmed tortillas as a side. There’s a salsa bar with various levels of spiciness as well as some spicy carrots and onions combinations. The horchata drink is probably not authentic or home made because it tasted very sweet and didn’t have the gritty rice texture that a home made horchata would have. It’s decent and not bad for the price. They also have burritos and tacos which I’ll have to try next time. I especially want to try the ropa vieja I saw on the menu board because I’m a fan of this Cuban dish. Although I don’t have all that high expectations for the quality, I’m still curious and will want to order it one time. This is a basic fast food Mexican joint run by a Korean couple serving fairly cheap eats. They close fairly early at 7:00 pm so you got to come early to dine here. It’s not exactly the rotisserie chicken place I was hoping it to be but it does the job in a clutch and on the fly. I’ll be back…

Better than El Pollo Loco. A Korean couple owns this place. It has been here for many years since early nineties. I’ve been here many many times. The woman seems always in a bad mood. She will not smile to you nor would she greet you when you come in. The man is nice total opposite of her. The chicken itself is ok and there is a mini salsa bar. Half a chicken with rice and bean is my favorite.

Nevermind what I last wrote about«fast service.» My last visit was beyond acceptable… I waited more than 20 minutes for a couple tacos and a quesadilla during a not particularly busy time. But do pay attention to what I said about the inattentive and cold service, because when I politely asked about my food(at the 10-minute mark), I was told«just a few more minutes.» When it was finally ready, it was pretty much just slung across the counter without any apology or indication that they were dealing with a slightly impatient customer.

Moving around the corner from this joint so naturally I wanted to peep game. I’ll make this simple: Cheap prices, Zombie employees, pretty shitty beef burrito:(Also you have to spend 10 bucks to pay with your card. Weak-body. Even if you only have like $ 5 just go to Taco Bell. Maybe only Mexicans can make Mexican food. Was that racist?

This place is right in my neighborhood and I really like to support local business’s here. As such, I really want to like this restaurant more than I do. I’ve been here a few times and both the food & the ordering experience have never been horrible, but both were mediocre each time. The lady taking my order each time almost seemed irritated that I interrupted whatever she was doing before I came in. The food was reasonably priced and was somewhat tasty, but the only reason I would go back is if I was looking for cheap eats & wanted to keep supporting places close to me

The food here is pretty gross, yet I still have eaten here a few times just because it’s so fast and cheap. I keep trying different things and hoping it will get better. It doesn’t. Everything tastes like it came out of a can. The asada tacos have to be some of the worst I’ve ever had. The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because I’m a masochist that will probably eat here again.

Cheap – sketchy – average. If you’re broke and hungry, otherwise I wouldn’t advise.

I was out running errands yesterday so I ran into El Pollo Dorado to get something to go. I got a chicken burrito. It was pretty basic — chicken, rice, and re-fried beans. I got some cilantro from the salsa bar. But I could not tell if the salsa was being kept cold — I didn’t see any ice, so I decided to pass. Driving home, the burritos smelled delicious. It must have been either the re-fried beans, or the chicken — or maybe I was just hungry. I was a little disappointed when I opened it up. There was no sauce or salsa inside. Just chicken, rice and beans. A little bland and plain. And no chips ! How much can it cost to drop a handful of chips in the bag. The best part of the meal was that it was inexpensive and quick.

The chicken here is really flavorful and better than el pollo loco… interestingly enough, Koreans run this place! The menu is simple, sides are good, pricing is pretty cheap, and this place was CLEAN! Based on the previous reviews, I was a little scared to get salsa from the salsa bar, haha, but it was all good. The owners are very nice! Will be going back!

Cheap as heck! It’s an Asian run el pollo loco with more *character* I have only eaten there once so far but I’m sure I’ll be back, it’s so convenient a location for me and I liked the chicken, which was there waiting for me! The nice korean lady even gave me a free refill! very sweet and unexpected

I thought this would be similar to Juan Pollo in Azusa… sorta. not really. It came with less food. Chicken leg and thigh, rice, refried beans, one container of salsa, tortillas for $ 4.89 including tax. The chicken wasn’t bad, the grilled and crispy skin is the best part. I chose the mild salsa which tasted fresh. The service is a little strange, they look very unhappy to see you when you come in! Not sure if I’ll come again… maybe if I’m craving chicken at work

El Pollo Dorado is like your ghetto neighborhood version of El Pollo Loco. Only its better… and run by Koreans. Its badass, I’m not going to lie. They keep it simple and cheap. No frills here, except for the salsa bar.(I’ll discuss that later.) Flame grilled chicken, rice, beans and tortillas. Their taquitos are also bomb. I am a taquito connissuer, so I have to sample them everywhere. They have an Arroz con Pollo plate which is pretty good too. How it works. You order your food. They give you a number. You wait. In less than 5 minutes, you got your food. You get one cup for salsa at the salsa bar, choose wisely. Otherwise, you’re paying for another cup. They don’t fool around with the salsa. They are Korean and will kick your ass if you eff up their salsa bar.
