Called Elite on the advice of a friend. Needed some post move out cleaning done. I have had issues in the past with less than stellar work being done in situations like this so I was a little stressed since we had a time frame to stay within.
Elite showed up on time and got right to work. They lady in charge went through the scope of work they were there to perform and gave me estimated time frame for completion.
All in all, they did a really good job. They finished on time and the place looked, and smelled, really good.

Serious issues with cost and time. Charged $ 105 for 3 ladies. Initial quote was $ 75 for 2 people. Took them 4 hours to clean 3 rooms, plus they charged for a «re-​do». Owner, Rose, promised an estimate on time and cost BEFORE they started. Called owner next day and left message. Did not receive a call back. First and last time using their service. :(

This business is extremely unprofessional and has terrible service. I spoke with a gentleman about professional cleaning services for our business and he assured me that someone would contact me the next day. Fast forward over one week later and a rude lady comes over and is completely disrespectful of my business! She implies that our business is grimy and filthy and says that we couldn’t afford her prices. I contacted them for cleaning services. Obviously we needed some kind of maintenance. No need to insult me! We have never had anything lower than an A! Take your services and shove down your $#%!

DO NOT USE.
If you call this company you are making a GRAVE mistake. I spoke with Amber to schedule my appointment, and we confirmed, and I thought we were all set. I called two additional times to confirm, both times leaving a voice mail, as I was moving from out of state, I wanted to make sure my house was clean prior to arrival.
Needless to say, they did not call back, and they did not even show up for my appointment. I emailed them as well and not even a return email.
I can only imagine how their service would have been if they even showed up to do the cleaning.
Take my advice and stay away.

Loved, Loved, Loved! They literally just walked out the door. Our 1 bedroon, 1 bathroom is spotless. They were on time, very reasonable ($ 105 an hour for a team of 3) and did a fantastic job. The team leader Eduardo was very nice, did a walk around and estimated that it would be an hour and a half, which it was. The ladies were very thorough, dusted and cleaned everything, and were super careful. The last place I used broke a statue I got on my honeymoon in Ireland, needless to say I was pissed! I am thrilled to find these guys and will most def call them again for my Burbank apartment.

I wish there was a quality rating below poor-​fair because this company as a cleaning service sucks. I called and requested a deep cleaning and was told for that level of cleaning and the size of my home it would take two maids 3 and ½ to 4 hours to complete. 2 beds ²¹⁄₂ baths.
Upon them arriving (30 mins late) I told them I needed to leave in 4 hours because I had a commitment. I showed them around and told them most importantly I needed ceiling fans cleaned and my refrigerator. At that point the Maid informed me (the only one who could communicate in English) that they don’t clean out refrigerators. She also asked me for cleaning towels because the office was closed on Sundays they did not bring any nor a proper mop.
After 3 ½ hours having only completed one bathroom, one bedroom and ½ of the kitchen and dinning area, I asked them how much longer they would be. They said at least an hour and a half.
One of the Maids was on her phone speaking in Spanish at more than one occasion. After ⁴⁄₁₂ hours at my home they still had not finished the Master bedroom (AND NEVER DID) nor cleaned either of the ceiling fans. After speaking to two supervisors she did at least halfway clean my refrigerator.
At two maids at $ 45 per hour in 4 hours my home should have been completed. My former housekeeper regularly cleaned it by herself in 4 hours. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Two Stars because I was very disappointed in the no-​show, and seriously overstated service qualities.
So, your friend is having a party at their own home, and their family is not so inclined to help out with the cleaning, so what is a close friend to give? Cleaning services, of course.
Now being the genius I am, I tried to avoid the Groupon game and be a ‘valuable’ paying customer (full price sucker) and only searched on Google for the talent I needed. Really, I spend enough time on Unilocal that I should have looked here first BEFORE choosing these cleaners.
I am a former US Navy enlisted man. If there is anything that I know really well, it’s cleaning and attention to the details. Nothing escapes my very critical eye when I am doing the work. 20 year old worn tile floors gleam under my skilled hands… Hiring someone to do the work, that’s a little different.
Back to our review…
So I find this top listing on Google and not being as selective as I should have been, I contacted Elite through their online form, and was quoted what I believed to be a ‘reasonable’ price that would include a top-​to-​bottom after-​party clean up with 2 people to complete in 2 hours after the party, which was on a Sunday. On Thursday August 16^th, I was quoted $ 150.00 for the 2 people for 2 hours. That is not a great deal, but I agreed based on knowing that this is a business deal (that is $ 37.50 per hour per resource, including supplies). The 6pm time for arrival, the credit card, the appointment confirmation and the call back number were all given by Kevin, the General Manager, who answered the phone when I called.
So Sunday, party day, rolls around and we’re having a great time. Everything is as expected. About 50 people show up, family, kids, grandparents, friends, and lots and lots of BBQ. BBQ means greasy meats (and I’m vegetarian going towards vegan, but I don’t mind meat at all, its just for health reasons), and lots of clean up needed. Floors, counters, tables, cutlery, cutting boards, containers, etc…
The party winds down and 6pm is here. No cleaning crew. I text Kevin. ‘Hey Kevin, Steve here. Please make sure crew has the right address. Here’s my number.’. No response. 630pm comes and no crew, no call. I call again and leave a VM for Kevin. 700pm comes and goes. Now its 730pm, and the party is over. I leave an email at the only email I can find for them (they never sent the promised email for confirming the appointment that I specifically requested). Kevin FINALLY calls me back, bewildered about the source of my frustration. It’s a $ 150.00 gift to a friend, and even though I love her, I don’t love this service…
Here’s our conversation:
Kevin calls …‘Oh Hey Steve… We had you down for NEXT weekend… Is that okay instead?’ ‘Uh, Kevin, it’s a birthday party, no, it’s not okay. You personally confirmed for 6pm on the 26^th. So when will the crew be here?’
Kevin: ‘Sorry man, there is no crew. It’s all my fault, there was a scheduling mix up.’ Steve: ‘Ok Kevin, so when will YOU be here. Bring the wife and kids and make it a family event.’

Kevin: ‘Sorry Steve, I can’t give you 3 hours…‘
Kevin: ‘…[thought…] OK Steve, we’ll be there at 8AM for 3 hours. Is there anything else we can do for you?‘
Steve: ’ Make CERTAIN that they are there at 8am, as promised, and completely certain that they clean top to bottom, including the oven, the floors, the bathroom, the dining area, the living room (small) and of course the kitchen and all the horizontal surfaces in it. ’
Kevin: ‘Ok, they’ll be there at 8am Monday morning.‘
Well, 8 AM rolls by and 845am is here. The cleaner, Irma, contacts me by mobile phone, and can’t find the address, and in fact, has the WRONG address. (eh? I gave it to Kevin like 3 times). I send the lady a text with the right address and she shows up at 9am. According to the friend, the house looks much better (this friend is not emotional about her descriptions, so I have to draw it out of her). The crew did a «good» job, but I certainly have my hesitations about what that means.
So my friends gift of after-​party clean up was a bust. I DON’T see the value in the «full» price of my gift to her. I certainly don’t see any improvement from my experiences based on the prior reviews.
My STRONGEST ADVICE to this business owner is start giving a crap about the services you’re rendering, regardless of invoice total. You can charge whatever you want, just deliver on the promise of the services you promote.
This is the part that breaks my business heart… My strongest advice to future clientele is put your payment on a credit card that will refund you, so THEY can fight «Elite Maid Services». OR, just shop elsewhere.

DO NOT USE THEM. I purchased a $ 70 cleaning deal from LivingSocial for this company. I tried to reach the company for 2 months… called them and left messages weekly, sent emails, etc., and never received any response. I tried to get a refund from LivingSocial but they are just as unhelpful as Elite Maid Services. I want LivingSocial’s customers to be aware that LivingSocial does not value their customers and do not source reliable deals. I posted on LivingSocial’s Facebook page to make others aware of this. I had not read the Unilocal reviews before purchasing a living social deal from this company. But it was a good deal and we purchased it and then almost forgot to use it before it expired. I called to make the appointment and they took my availability and said they’d call back within a day. This is the reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars… they didn’t call. I called the day after they were supposed to, and the woman was very friendly, confirmed my availability and said that she had a day that could work and would email me the confirmation. The confirmation came within the hour.
The people on the phone were friendly and I emailed with the gal to ask questions about what to expect. They were clear about how many people would show up and how long they would stay.
They called the day before to confirm and then called 15 minutes before arrival. They arrived with all their equipment, introduced themselves and got right to work.
The work was great! My apartment is SUPER clean now — where before it was very dusty and just generally not picked up. They dusted every surface and appliance, cleaned the floors, mirrors, bathroom, kitchen and even took out my trash for me.
When they were halfway through, I texted my husband to find out how we can make this service work in our budget monthly.
So even though I understand other people have had a hard time with this company, I thought they were great. 4 stars from me.

Not impressed here whatsoever. I was excited to use a new service because I usually do Southern California Maid Service and they are not that great but really cheap.
Had my apartment cleaned today from a living social coupon. My place is very small so there is not much to get to and they had a team of 3 people here. They did not take the time to make the bed or do a basic cleaning on the fridge. They also did not fully dust all the surfaces of the apartment. I can tell that some of my things are so much in the exact same place that I left them that there was no way any cleaning was done underneath.
Will not be a returning customer and am very disappointed.

Just to update…
After multiple calls, my roommate was finally able to get a hold of Rose, who said that the maids were extremely offended we had accused them of stealing and that they wanted to come over again to «face their accusers» and see exactly where the item had been stolen from. Naturally, we said NO, since we didn’t want to let known thieves back into our house. (Again… I try to be a charitable person and I wouldn’t accuse them of stealing if there were ANY CHANCE it had been taken by someone else. But my roommate and I are both very busy people and we hadn’t had any company at the apartment since literally months before the incident occurred).
Well, of course, as soon as we said we didn’t want them back, they refused to do anything else about it. I have not been compensated for my $ 15 item and doubt I ever will be. Thank God it wasn’t anything of greater value!
Mediocre cleaning, bad communication, and by far THE WORST customer service I’ve ever seen. Stay far away!

Truly awful. I really wish I had read the reviews before purchasing the Living Social deal.
They missed an appointment and some guy named William told us there was nothing they could do even though we had confirmed the time earlier.
When they finally made it, they just did some light scrubbing and dusting. I couldn’t even tell the difference.
The outrageous part is one of the cleaning ladies sprayed too much solution and actually killed our oven/​stove/​fridge circuit. We had to get a contractor in to get that fixed and when we called Elite Maid to let them know, their response was that these things happen and asked if we’d like to sign up for weekly cleaning services.
I don’t know how they’re still in business since they must have no returning customers.

BUYER BEWARE!
Let me preface this by saying I have been pretty patient considering this saga began 4 months ago… But I’m done and I’m sharing what happened to me so you all can save yourself the time, money, and trouble.
I bought a groupon from them back in December and called right away to schedule an appointment. They then directed me to their website because I had to fill out on online application for an appointment. I figured okay… no big deal.
Cut to 1 month later and still no word. I call again and they feed me the same lines about how I need to fill out the online app for an appointment – which I’d already done. So again I comply. STILL no word for another two weeks.
I call them again and they say they’ll call me back once they have an opening (this was late February). No response.
Finally I get a hold of them last week (end of March) and they agree to an appointment today (April 2) between 11 am and 1 pm. It is now 1:25 pm.
I called them and left a voicemail at 1 pm since they never actually pick up the phone.
I get a call back from someone about 10 minutes ago claiming they were going to call me to tell me the crew was going to be running super late and they could either come late or reschedule. I told them to figure out what time they could get a crew here.
But then after reading numerous Unilocal reviews where people say this exact same thing happened to them and someone was STOLEN from… No way am I letting them into my home.
I took a day off work to be home for this. Thank you for wasting my time and my money.
I have already requested a full refund from groupon and I suggest anyone else who bought this groupon do the same.
This company is just plain shady.

DO NOT USE ELITE MAID SERVICES! I have now tried twice to book a cleaning, still with no success. I purchased a Living Social deal for them and have had the hardest time scheduling a cleaning. I have NEVER reviewed a company based on their Living Social or other discount deal because I understand that the response can be overwhelming and everyone tends to call at the same time. However, they deserve a low rating, and I want to warn others…
First off, the fine print on the coupon says to call them. However, when you call them, the person who answers the phone says you have to email them through the special «Living Social» page on their site. I obligingly did so. Both times. The special «Living Social» page makes you feel like a second class citizen stating that they will respond in 3 – 5 business days. They never do. Then, they never call until you nag them by calling and emailing repeatedly, then they either show up on the wrong day for cleaning, or they confirm a cleaning on the wrong day.
Maybe if they ever contact me back to confirm the cleaning that I may or may not have booked, then I could give them a higher rating, or maybe if I even get to the cleaning stage…

Buyer beware, steer aways from this business. As you can see from the Unilocal reviews, if you get good service, you are darn lucky. I, like most, was left frustrated and having wasted time that I could have used happily eating or writing Unilocal reviews. And possibly there will be more wasted time, since I am working on getting a refund or credit from Living Social.
Let me start out by saying, I purchased this cleaning in November! (Too bad it wasn’t later so that I could have seen all the terrible reviews.)
1^st – I called shortly after my purchase to schedule a needed cleaning and they verbally told me that they do not take phone appointments from customers with vouchers. Yes, voucher owners, you are second class!
2^nd – They told me to go online and fill out an application for an appointment (in other words, waste some more of my time and give them info on myself before I even know if I care for their services). So I did. I received an email saying they are too busy due to the holidays and will get back to me in 3 – 5 business days.
3^rd – Weeks later and no response (which means no appt and no cleaning). I emailed saying I haven’t heard from them and would appreciate an estimate of how long it will be until I can expect an appointment.
Lastly – Weeks later and still no email to schedule or response to my email. Have they skipped town, I wonder. I checked them out on Unilocal and thought, after my experience with them and these reviews, I would no longer trust them in my home. Which leaves me here, wondering if Living Social will be as reliable and fair as Groupon has been whenever there is the rare problem.
Update: LS got back to me in less than 24hrs saying they would provide a LS deals bucks credit to my account.

Worst company ever! Brought the LivingSocial deal… took the company 3 weeks to reply to my email requesting service and when they DID finally reply, I was told I am no longer in their cleaning radius/​zone and would have to request a refund from LivingSocial. I’m beyond annoyed.
To top it off, LivingSocial is not willing to refund me my $$. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I must say, I was surprised to see the low reviews for this business. I wasn’t actually home when they cleaned, but my boyfriend was and when I returned, the bathroom and kitchen (the places I asked them to focus on) were sparkling clean and looked brand new. They were on time, and very thorough.
I don’t have much to compare it to, cause this is my first time hiring professional cleaners, but I was very pleased with the job they did. It did take 3 weeks to get an appointment though, but that could have been because of the Holidays.

I purchased a Living Social Deal for $ 49 one bedroom house cleaning.
My place is the size of a shoebox, under 900 sqf.
I was given an appointment two weeks away from when i called.
They were on time.
3 ladies plus the guy who served as their «manager» or «translator» his job was to oversee the work the ladies were doing, and to kind of rush them through in Spanish. He was friendly to me and approachable.
They arrived at 8:30am. Guy asked me what area i wanted them to focus on. I said «What do you mean? i want you to clean my whole house!» this was the first warning sign.
One lady took the kitchen, another took the bathroom and the youngest one walked around with a vacuum cleaner on her back that looked like part of a space suit. They were out of my door by 9:30am.
THE GOOD:
They did an ok job on the porcelain counters, bathroom, sinks and tub.
THE BAD:
They didn’t really clean my hardwood floors nor dusted very appropriately. The floors were never wet or mopped and still dust particles remained after they were supposedly done. I am not one to run my finger along a counter and show how dirty things are, i’ll leave that to my mom, who’s annoying trait might have come in handy at a time like this. For better or worse i am slightly more easygoing when it comes to these matters, though there is something to be said for advocating for oneself and getting the services you paid for.
The guy who was managing the ladies was also dusting. He struck up a conversation with me and then just stopped dusting altogether. The lady with the vacuum wouldn’t lift things off the floor, she would just vacuum around them. For example i had a pair of rain boots behind the bedroom door and she just vacuumed near them, i offered to pick them up and put them on the bed and then she did it, then again i had a small shopping bag in the corner of my room and she vacuumed around it right in front of my face. I picked it up, placed it on the bed and asked her to vacuum the area again, but otherwise she would have just vacuumed lightly around the items on the floor without moving them at all. (NOTE: I am not a messy person, i’m actually pretty organized so the items on the floor were few, it would have been no trouble to pick them up and put them on the bed).
POSSIBLE EXPLANATION FOR SHITTY JOB:
After some online research i learned that they maids, are paid less than minimum hourly wages and they are expected to pay for their cleaning products (an amount of 13% which gets deducted from their checks automatically). This is sad, Elite Cleaning Service is making so much for a house clean and the maids are getting so little. It leaves them no incentive to do a good job on the house. I have used other cleaning services before and this one is definitely the worst.
CONCLUSION:
I much prefer to pay an independent lady $ 50+tip, to come once a week consistently and know that she is receiving all the money for her labor, establish a relationship of trust and consistency and know that she will do a good job because she wants to continue our working relationship, vs. maids that work for a company, underpaid, and who have no incentive to do a good job, since it doesn’t affect them either way.

Extremely disappointing service. I have a small one-​bedroom apartment, which I generally keep very clean on my own, so my needs from a cleaning service are minimal. Yet, Elite Maids failed to meet even that low standard.
I have a few complaints, some minor, some major. In case you are considering hiring them, I list them here, so you can decide if these are the type of issues that might bother you:
1. Basic cleaning is sloppy. Counters are regularly not washed, dust on the baseboards is not vacuumed, bed is made messily – sheets are sometimes not even tucked in and bunched up as if they did it in 30 seconds. (MAJOR)
2. I have a blanket and a comforter on my bed. I asked them, when changing the sheets, to put the cover over the bed and fold the comforter at the foot of the bed. I even showed them how I do it. Nevertheless, they consistently put both the cover and blanket on the table next to the bed. (MINOR)
3. Similarly, I have asked them to clean the base of the blender and vacuum the crease between the seat and back of the leather furniture (chair and sofa, where dog hair gets caught). This is never done. (MAJOR)
4. They are also sloppy about putting things back where they found them. Items I leave on my desk are all piled up and left on the coffee table. I have asked them not to do this, but… you guessed it… they ignore the request. (MAJOR)
5. They also never arrive when they are supposed to. I have asked them to come in the afternoons because I work from home in the morning. That means any time between 12 and 5. Yet, they regularly show up as early as 10am. (MAJOR)
I used them for two months because I tend to believe that people mean well and thought the situation would gradually improve. Sadly, I have finally lost hope and started looking for a new service.
I have never given such a negative review before, but I can’t remember the last time I was so disappointed with a service provider.

The other review sure makes me feel better. Anyone who knows me or hiddenLA knows I’m all about discovering great local businesses & promoting them to as many people as possible. I rarely will write negative reviews: I don’t like to. But this experience was INSANE. (Scroll down to «THE GOOD PART» to cut to the chase.)
I know the ups and downs of groupon well. I get it, I really do. It can attract bargain shoppers, not repeat customers, and that frustrates business (I use it to find stuff I can recommend on hLA, so I’ve a different agenda). On the flip side, at times businesses view groupon shoppers as inferior to their normal clientele and give them lesser service or are just rude to them (counterintuitive since they’re *doing* a groupon to attract new repeat business). I’m always aware of these issues when booking a groupon.
Through hiddenLA promotions in the past, I have a LOT credits to use up so I’ve used MANY groupons over the last few years… usually for fan prizes or to check out stuff I can recommend on hLA. The other day I saw this maid groupon, and since my house really needs one, I went for it. Cleaners have always charged $ 40 – 70 to clean my tiny place but as I was using free credits I decided splurging on a «$ 120 value for $ 65» was ok.
I allotted time between appts earlier in the week to book this service. I was shuffled through to a woman who told me they had an opening on Mon. When I told her my little place needed a great cleaning, she explained to me that the groupon was for 3 people for *only* 1.5 hours and that if I needed my apartment cleaner it wouldn’t be good. I said my place was small, and she said «Ok, we’ll do 2 people for 2 hours.» Since other people clean my house for half the price, I then admitted, «Gotta say, I don’t get your price rate… it seems crazy high.» and she quickly replied «Well, we charge $ 80 an hour and we’re worth it.» I didn’t say anything, but thought to myself if cleaning pays $ 80 an hour, I should start doing it myself. (Cleaning houses for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week… we’re talkin’ $ 62,400 a year!!! SWEEEEET!!! Screw this internet startup crapola!)
I digress. A few days later I decided to myself that 6 hands seems intuitively more productive than 4 so I called back and was transferred to Rose. I told her I booked an appt a few days before and wanted 3 people instead of 2. I was asked for some information and put on hold. Where I waited. And waited. I had a meeting I needed to go to and was ignoring phone calls because I didn’t want to miss Rose. Being on hold so long felt like someting was wrong, it was just weird. Rose came back apologetically and said «ok, I’ll look it up later but we’ll see you on Mon.» Since my instincts told me that she didn’t even have the appointment on the books, I told her that I realized I didn’t write down the time and needed confirmation. She fought this a bit, but I insisted. Truth was I had written it down, but I had a hunch and needed confirmation to feel comfortable.
At this point, Rose was agitated with me. Finally she said «I’m sorry, I don’t see it anywhere, you booked it online, right?» I said the following: «No, I called. We were on the phone for 20 min to book it. I’m just glad I called and asked for confirmation because it’s upsetting to imagine that after canceling all of my plans and appts for Mon I could’ve been sitting here waiting for nobody. That’s really awful. So what can we do… are you booked up for Mon. now?» I’m not going to lie, I’m understanding of booking mistakes, but I was shocked that this woman was ushering me off the phone saying «see you Monday!» without it even being TRUE that people were coming to my house. She said there was another appt available and I said ok, but yes, inside I WAS annoyed because I got the vibe that she felt the error was *my* fault somehow… it was bizarre.
NOW HERE’S THE GOOD PART: A half hour later my phone rang. I answered. It was Rose on a RAMPAGE. She said the following:
«I just did research and you called TWICE and NEVER booked an appt! you just called to see if we service your area!!! I am the only person who answers the phone and you didn’t BOOK anything!!! Call Groupon back and get a refund because you are an ABUSIVE person and I resent your treatment of me and REFUSE to clean your home!!! WE WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU!!! I will NOT send my employees to you because I will not SUBJECT them to such a horrible person!!!»
I was in shock and fully admit I snapped back. «What the hell are you talking about lady, l bought a groupon so I KNEW you serviced my area!!! There was no REASON to ask! And I called only ONCE and we were on the phone for 20 minutes booking the appointment!!!» At that moment she hung up on me. I called back and talked to a very sweet girl who apologetically told me that Rose was ordering her to hang up and refuse me service.
In all honesty, I don’t know what kind of crack this woman is smoking but she needs to cut back.
