As an out of towner, I am glad that I chose this salon amongst the thousands of others that Unilocal popped up. Since I visit Sherman Oaks a lot to visit the girlfriend, it feels good to know there’s a quality salon in the neighborhood. Anush was very personable and her expertise showed in her advice and cut. The friendly staff and great environment proved to be the cherry on top. Overall, I had a great experience. I am glad I chose this place over a supercuts or any other franchise and instead chose a family business that has their **** together. Looks like I have found my new regular spot when I am in town!

Hidden in a Sherman Oaks strip mall is the Valley’s gem of male hair cuts… Anush.
And not just men… my 5 and 7 year-​old boys absolutely adore Anush. We’ve been to just about all the «kiddie» places on Ventura Blvd. and I was shocked at how many different ways they could screw up a little boy’s haircut. But Anush gets it right every time. The boys like watching TV while their hair is cut, they LOVE the hot towel, shampoo/​conditioner VIP treatment at the end, and they attack Anush’s candy jar when it’s all over. She has become part of a monthly routine in our family.
Personally, having a stable and reliable place like Esquire Salon For Men and Anush is a huge relief for me. Getting hair cuts is one of life’s constants. I have curly hair that grows out crazy at times and I have had my share of bad hair cuts. The amazing part about Anush’s hair cuts is that they look good when you first leave and then get better as every week goes by… right up until the time comes to get a new hair cut. Seriously, not sure what the method is but the lady knows men’s hair.
I’m not big on making appointments. When you want to look your best — this place will not disappoint. Not only do you get a great cut, but the shampoo and massage that’s included is transcendent. I splurged for a manicure — and boy was it worth it. It might have been the smoothest manicure I have ever had.
Yes it’s tucked in a strip mall right on Ventura, so don’t drive by it. You’ll be happy you to have found this spot. I certainly am.

This salon is amazing and the hair stylist Anush is a very cool and friendly person she also knows what she’s doing. I just walked in and thought about getting a hair cut all of a sudden. I showed her a pic and she did it pretty much the same I was impressed. There’s only one thing that makes me think that I should have asked about the prices first it’s a little bit overpriced compared to others I’ve been too but I like my haircut anyway. Thanks

A friend treated to me to a session at Esquire. And, wow!
Came out feeling like a different person. Now I know what it feels like to be a male model (well, almost). As I was walking down the street on the way home, I slung my jacket over my shoulder and very nearly stopped, put a hand on my hip, did a 180 twirl, and started walking back again. Then I woke up and realized I wasn’t on the catwalk.
Anush is super professional, friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about personal grooming.
The salon is extremely well-​equipped, dedicated only to men, and is a rare treat.

If you’re not a dude, then buy your dude a VIP session as a Christmas or birthday gift. It’ll bring out the Bond in him.

Came here from the glowing reviews. Always a tad apprehensive when there’s to many good ones. But you know what?
She really is amazing. I came here on impulse and was unhappy with how my hair grew out from the last cut. My hair was kinda short so i was afraid she couldn’t do much with it besides a couple of cuts and a smack on the butt out the door. Yet, I was wrong. She told me about my bone structure and what looked good with it. She even asked me how i style my hair normally and trim accordingly to the style. I trusted her judgement and she went it.
Let me tell you something. I get probably 1 – 3 good hair days from a haircut. The rest are just sad days. My hair currently looks flawless everyday since my cut here.
As a man, I’ve always been against haircuts priced more then $ 20. I mean what can they really do right???
Today I eat my words. Im officially a hair snob.

I decided to spontaneously get a hair cut during my lunch break and found this place through Unilocal.
First things first, I absolutely loved it. I came in for a simple haircut, and Anush gave me the VIP package for the price of the regular.
I did not know what hairstyle I wanted, but thankfully, she knew my hair more than I did. She showed me things about my hair that I never really realized or paid attention to. The way the hairs on my back flowed a certain way for example. And she cut it according to what would make me look good and showed me how to easily fix my hair to make it look that good every day. Lol
That kind of attention to detail is why this place deserves 5 stars. When I get my hair cut in other places, I would always feel the need to go home ASAP and fix my hair to better fit my liking. But with Anush cutting my hair, I walked out of there not needing to fix a thing.
I will definitely come here regularly. Awesome.

Found this salon on Unilocal and set an appointment with Anush right away. I recommend going to her. She pays a lot of attention to details and she takes her time with you. Going back nextime!

I followed Anush from her old salon to her new one on Ventura Blvd. Even if she moved to the west side of town, I would still make the trek to have her do my hair. Anush and her staff are incredible. My hair has never looked better, nor my wife happier. The vibe of her salon is extremely relaxing. I used to hate taking time out of my day to get my hair cut, and now because of Anush, it’s something I look forward to each month! Everyone there is Incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable.

I recently got a haircut and the experience was really good. I have gone to salons costing $ 100.00 and up and Esquire Salon For Men is far superior in service and quality of hair cut. Many salons that cater to women don’t know how to cut men’s hair and with some of the barber shops, you come out looking like one of the three stooges. Anush is very thoughtful and consults with you prior, so you are part of the decision making process. She is extremely detailed orientated — from cutting hair to the design of her shop, which is spotless, no awful chemical odors and no mindless chatter. Anush is a real nice lady and cares about her clientele. I defiantly recommend Esquire Salon For Men.

I found this place via Unilocal.My experience was delightful. Anush is a gem. I told her what style I was going for and she did her magic. She told me things about my head (bone structure) which no other baber\stylist had ever told me. As a first time customer she gave me the VIP package for the price of a regular cut. VIP package includes a cut, wash, hot face towel, scalp message, neck message.

I have a usual guy in Riverside who has been my barber since I was a kid. I rarely let anyone else cut my hair (I’m not a fan of change) but when I was in a jam and needed someone close by I Unilocaled this joint. Anush, Anush, Anush is what all the reviews said. I went with it, and I’m so glad I did.
Anush is, indeed, awesome. She was very thorough in working out what kind of cut I wanted before chopping a single hair. Then it was obvious she was very skilled as a stylist with good technique. Anush was also very spirited and easy going. She snapped a pic after we were done so that should I return and want the same cut as last time, she can see exactly how it was, bonus!
They also have manicure and pedicure services available that I will definitely try out. The atmosphere is comfortable so I wouldn’t feel weird about getting those done for the first time.

Anush is just the best! I am so impressed with my first haircut. She hooked me up! She even gave me some great tips on how to disguise my thinning hair lol. I cannot wait until I come back next time

Although this is a men salon, I came in here for a haircut twice already and my hair just keeps on getting healthier. Anush speaks hair and really knows how to nourish your tresses

My husband has been going to Anush for years now. He is extremely picky with his haircuts and has never once had a bad experience with Anush. She is really good at what she does! She is very professional, detailed and spends a good amount of time to make sure my husband is absolutely happy.
The new salon is slick, modern and clean. It’s very comfortable for men and features a very comfy chair for the wash. The service is affordable and includes a massage during the wash. Overall giving this place 5 stars for service, price, cleanliness and customer service.
