Evolution Studios is a 7000+ square foot, state of the art, Dance Production Rental Facility that boasts 6 beautiful studios. Located in North Hollywood, Evolution Studios provides a welcoming and creative environment for your artistic vision. Studios are rented on an hourly basis for a variety of projects, such as: rehearsals, classes, auditions, t. v/​film shoots, photo shoots, small social gatherings, etc.

History

Established in 2007.

Evolution Studios first opened in January of 2007 on Lankershim Blvd in North Hollywood. On Dec 19, 2014 we said good bye to our «Oldie but Goodie» little 3 studios and opened the new location on Dec 20, 2014 to a packed house of 6 studios!

Artist from all genres have used our facility for their artistic vision. As one of LA’s top rental facilities Evolution is well known in the entertainment industry amongst producers, choreographers and celebrities for it’s privacy, customer service and creative environment.

After injuring my knee a second time in 8 months, I finally made my way to Floor Barre with Kathy Moore on Sundays at Evolution Studios, and it has been a revelation! Within a month+, I feel almost completely transformed, learning to work at ballet in a more anatomically strong way, Kathy’s mission being to get the muscles to work to prevent jamming or snapping the joints and instead actually support those sensitive parts of your body. I am much stronger, much more stable on balance, more lifted, and all of that translates to looking & feeling better when I dance (and when I don’t dance). Being taught by a former principal ballet dancer means getting information directly related to ballet/​dance though you definitely don’t have to dance at all to benefit (and most in the class do not actively now). [Ex. The slight lower back aggravation I had has all but disappeared from all-​around posture strengthening through this class.]
The studios themselves are nice, clean, up-​to-​date, easy to book, and the floors are sprung; the staff is welcoming; the common space has a relaxed vibe, and street parking hasn’t proved an issue. Evolution & Kathy Moore’s Floor Barre are both definitely worth a visit!

I LOVE this studio! The staff are amazing, studios are clean, its easy to book online but they do book fast. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. They even have a cool patio they built in the front that’s really chill :-)

Very clean refurbished studio available for individual rent. I love the high ceilings. Good for private lessons or filming. They don’t offer classes. Parking is a bit rough and the front desk can sometimes be rude but they are really organized! I’m super impressed with how modern they’ve made a dance studio. Super spacious.
The negatives are just parking and staff. Otherwise once you book your studio and pay everything else is up to you!!!

This studio has the right balance of mood, access and affordable cost.
Plus they run food drives and offer discounts on bookings. It must have good management.
They were helpful when I needed chairs and tables. All good. No complaints.

MB STAGE uses evolution for its pickup rehearsals for THE VIDEO GAMES as well as regular rehearsals. We have been using them since July 2015 and they are always courteous, clean, safe and very accommodating. I would highly recommend Evolution to anyone in the entertainment industry for many of your space needs. Our show is heavy on stage combat and we find their facilities perfect! A+

They have easily the worst staff of any studio that I’ve been to in NoHo. They staff the place with teenagers that have the worst attitudes and don’t have any idea how to operate the online booking software and have given me the exact wrong information multiple times. What makes it worse is that most everyone on the staff seems intent on ruining your day, every time you interact with them either on the phone or in person. Also it’s pretty dishonest that the clocks in all the studios run 5 – 8 minutes fast, and they kick you out of the studio a few minutes before your rental is up. The studio floors are so filthy that they turn my dance shoes black.

I took the beginner hip hop dance class with Danielle Janco. I am in my early 30s and have not taken a dance class is well over 10 year so needless to say I was nervous. I almost bailed because I didn’t know how intimidating the class would be and I didn’t know how well I would do. The class was much better than I expected. Danielle and the other students were very welcoming and non-​judgmental. She is so encouraging and motivating. Danielle is so much fun and wants to make sure everyone else is having fun. I had a blast. Plus she has great taste in music! If anything it’s a great workout for anyone who likes to dance. The price is so reasonable for a 1.5 hr class. I will definitely be back!
Also, the facility is nice and clean. The building is easy to find. There is a small parking lot in the back of the building but there is plenty of free street parking nearby.

Very nice facility. Came here for a Hip Hop dance exercise class. Shout out to @MrLucky_ThatsMe for an awesome Old School Skinny Class! The lobby has lots of seating if your waiting for someone who is in class, clean restrooms, and they have vending machines with water and snaks. I think they offer free WIFI too. The dance studios are clean and very cool, air conditioning working great! Free parking lot in the back.

I’ve been following Derrick J. Garcia almost everywhere he taught zumba and this is his new stop. Some people have different opinion about zumba but I’ve been fortunate I met Derrick. His class truly is The Zumba, super fast, fun, full of energy. He constantly changes his choreography so you never get tired. «Attitude check, make me sweat «=)
