History

Established in 1989.

Fayces Skincare was founded in 1989 by Barbara Dickens. Dickens is a Paramedical Esthetician (P.M.E.) with nearly 30 years of experience providing skincare services that have produced dramatic results for her clients. She has been featured in the Los Angeles Times twice and appeared on a variety of TV (KABC Eyewitness local news) and radio (KACE 103.9) talk shows.

Mrs. Dickens has acquired extensive knowledge of skin physiology and skincare treatments by training with the leaders in the skin care industry such as Dr. Howard Murad of Murad cosmetics and Peter T. Pugliese, M. D, founder of Circadia Cosmetics.

Dickens holds a State of California Lifetime teaching credential and has trained estheticians at Yamano Beauty College and Cerritos College.

Her goal is to use her advanced knowledge of medical esthetics to evaluate skin conditions and create effective customized skin care programs that get results.

The esthetician/​owner is rude and pushy but her work is good. So you swallow your pride and go back. I’ve been told that she’s only nice to long long time clients… Business is discriminatory as to who they will give an appointment to. I was going to Fayces for many years recently moved back to Los Angeles and when trying to make an appointment I am told nothing’s available for months and not only will I need to pay for consultation I will also need to pay a $ 30 fee to hold my spot! What kind of greedy low down establishment is this??? I’ve referred several people and have never cancelled without 24 hr notice. Very disappointing.

Awesome awesome is you are looking for a facials and a place that treats all types of skin and with the latest products this is the place. I been going to fayces for I over 6 years and now my skin is so flawless and clean and fresh and young looking and now I am using the new line called OSMOSIS and it is awesome and it really works I respect what she does and she is very good at what she does. The place is clean and all ways fresh.

The absolute best! I’ve been going here for years! My skin is flawless thanks to the wonderful Glycolic Facials and other treatments. This is not a «one size fits all» kind of place or a spa for pampering and making your skin feel good. This is a place for RESULTS. Barbara evaluates your skin and give you a program for your specific skin type and/​or issue. If you want to IMPROVE your skin, this is the place to go! I’ve sent many people here over the years. I’m a walking billboard for Fayces thanks to Barbara:-). Follow the steps and you will see improvements. The product prices are reasonable too!

I can’t get enough of this skin care place! Barbara, the esthetician is so knowledgeable, professional, and basically my go-​to-​lady for skin! I have been seeing her for the past 4 months and my skin has drastically improved. I haven’t broken out since, except for this last month since I had put a different skin care product on my face other than her products-​that was a big mistake. Never doing that again! She is also very affordable too, which helps a lot! I have been going to her for extractions and mild exfoliation (lactic acid). I almost do not want to Unilocal about this because this place is a gem!
Needless to say, I have stocked up on my skin care products on my most recent visit. I used to make the mistake of putting those terrible drugstore and even high-​end skin care products that do nothing for your face! I’m wiser now that I have met Barbara!

If you truly care about your skin, you will go to Fayces! It is a no frills skin care clinic, so do not expect to be receiving a spa service. Ingrid at the front desk is great! Barbara is the most knowledgeable esthetician I have even been to, and because of her and her products, my skin is consistently amazing. The advice she gives is accurate and she never tries to sell you any products that you don’t need. I’ve referred many friends and coworkers and they are just as pleased as me. My mom has been coming here for about a decade and wouldn’t ever think about getting a facial treatment from anyone else. If you want to maintain healthy looking skin, Fayces is definitely for you.

I’ve been a client for 10 years. While Barbara is an experienced aesthetician and treats clients of all ethnicities, she specializes in treating people of color and issues that are particular to that population (keloids, hyperpigmentation, etc.). Fayces is not a spa (it’s not Burke Williams) so you shouldn’t go expecting that experience. If you want reasonably priced skin care administered by someone who is knowledgeable and experienced, this is the place for you.

This is the THE BEST PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR FACE! I Thank God that my friend referred me to Fayces. There is no other place in LA that offers top notch service and products at such an affordable price. Seriously, Fayces has saved my skin time and time again. Barbara is my favorite because eventhough she’s the owner, she gives one-​on-​one consultations and never tries to «up-​sell.» When I have any problems with my skin, she knows the cause and cure and suggests the best products-​not just what she sells. Calm atmosphere so my facials are relaxing. Barbara really knows what she’s doing so the extractions during the facial can be intense BUT you gotta unclog your pores somehow. And again, Great proprietary products! Totally love this place and have recommend it to all my friends. Thanks Barbara for keeping me looking (and feeling) good!
