Firefly Events

We are beyond grateful for what Teissia and Firefly did for our wedding. We chose to get married in a friend’s backyard in a very remote location, so the coordination of vendors and services was daunting. But Teissia handled everything so professionally and so completely, we were able to enjoy the day without worrying about logistics. I should mention that she managed to do all of this with no cell service (up in the mountains) on the day of the wedding. All of the little details were expertly executed – even little things that she could have let slide but didn’t. She is committed to her vision.
A major glitch happened when our seating chart, which was being written on glass window panes by an outside vendor, got broken during shipping the night before our wedding. We had no seating chart and I was panicking. But Teissia stayed completely calm and came up with an incredible idea, and she ran out last minute to buy eleven picture frames. She then printed (beautifully) each table number on paper and framed them, and hung them up around the barn where we were getting married. It looked AMAZING and she somehow managed to do this with mere hours left before our wedding, in the middle of trying to coordinate everything else.
Teissia also coordinated everybody (DJ, bartenders, etc.) staying half an hour later than expected because the party was so so much fun and nobody wanted to leave. And, when a really important family member was an hour and a half late, she managed to keep all the guests blissfully occupied and keep everything moving smoothly. She is a pro at managing family dynamics and was an awesome buffer when difficult situations occurred.
Most importantly, Teissia always had a smile on her face and kept me (the bride) calm during moments of nervousness. We always had complete faith that she would make our event beautiful, and we were not disappointed.
YOU SHOULD HIRE TEISSIA AND FIREFLY! She is like superwoman and she will make your event INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you Teissia. We will be forever grateful.

I hired Teissia almost immediately after getting engaged. I needed someone who didn’t look petrified when I told her that I’d be unavailable and out of town 80% of the time, but still wanted to make the decisions. She told us she was flexible, and she definitely was! Teissia understood what I wanted from the beginning. She sent suggestions, narrowed down options, and attended the majority of the vendor meetings, making my life so much easier. And when we got to the actual event, everything went perfectly. I have no idea if there were problems, Teissia handled everything. Even my mother was impressed. I have to say, now that I don’t speak with her constantly I definitely miss her. You should hands down hire Firefly Events for your wedding, you won’t be disappointed!

Planning a wedding is such a stressful life event, but luckily Teissia is there to save the day! :)
After hearing several horror stories about wedding planners taking over weddings, destroying budgets, etc., I was a little more than nervous about finding someone affordable and helpful. A little type A, I have a hard time trusting someone else pay attention to the details I feel are important. But luckily, I stumbled across Teissia’s company via Unilocal.
We hired Teissia for «day of coordination» and were so impressed with her organization skills and availability. I put «day of» in quotations because Teissia was definitely more accessible that just the day of. From day one, Teissia was super accessible via email or phone to help answer silly questions and help guide us through the planning process. She also attended our final wedding venue walk through in addition to our rehearsal. She also coordinate/​confirm with all our vendors the week prior to our actual wedding day. She also helped create our day of schedule.
The day of our wedding Teissia was already on site when we arrived. Everything, and I mean everything, was taken care of. I really have no idea if there were any big mishaps or last minute emergencies because Teissia and her assistant took care of everything. She was great about checking in with us throughout the day to make sure things were going as we liked/​hoped. She also helped troubleshoot on the fly (e.g. when several of our older guests were getting tired, Teissia helped make sure to move our cake cutting up to help some of these guest feel more comfortable leaving early). At the end of the day, Teissia even helped make sure all our belongings and gifts were packed away into our cars.
There aren’t enough positive things I could say about Teissia and her work. I really don’t know what we would’ve done without her.
My new happy husband probably summed it up best at the end of our wedding, «WOW! Teissia saved us!»

After searching, meeting, and talking with more than 10 wedding coordinators, and being less than thrilled with all of them, we found Teissia. After meeting with her, it didn’t take long (about 10 seconds!) for us to decide to give her the reigns to our wedding… and we are so thankful we did.
Teissia far exceeded our expectations leading up to the big day. She was more than happy to meet with us on several occasions to go over the details, to do a walk-​thru at the site, and to meet with our caterer. She was always a phone call away, and ready with a knowledgeable answer. She also has a good number of references for those services we had trouble finding… like her recommended hair stylist, Marin… who was truly incredible to work with AND fit within our modest budget!
Most importantly, she knew what she was doing when it came to the actual event. We are so blessed to have had her ready and willing to do so many of the little things we forgot like write out our chalkboard menu, handle flower petals in the fountain, hunt down our late lightning people, etc… and often without us even asking her. She was probably responsible for countless other things that we don’t even know about. Her experience in running big events shined through most when our bar people wouldn’t open up when we needed them on our hot wedding day. We later found out (from our parents) how she put her foot down and told them to open up or she would call their boss to make them (or something along those lines). In any case, it was because of Teissia that they opened up that moment!
Plus, when we had a last minute important «surprise» guest that flew in on the day of the wedding (which could have resulted in seating arrangement chaos), all we had to do was talk to Teissia and she handled it like a veteran. She coordinated with the vendors, changed the number of chairs at the different tables, and basically made it all happen. She’s a coordinator that knows how to get things done.
Teissia combines the friendship, calmness, and knowledge you need during the stress-​filled planning and preparation period, and the focus, composure, and feistiness (see bar story above) to make the event happen. We honestly had about as problem-​free of a wedding one could imagine, and a lot of that was due to Teissia. Thank you so very, very much!

Firefly Events helped my husband and I put together a beautiful August wedding. Teissia’s professionalism and organizational skills were wonderful. She worked tirelessly to connect us with vendors who provided superior service and keep us on budget. Our wedding was perfect. Reason #1: my husband is AMAZING. Reason #2: Teissia Treynet at Firefly Events is the best wedding coordinator ever. We had both the ceremony and reception at our house with close to 100 guests and I don’t know what we would have done without Teissia! From perfectly scheduled logistics, to seamless coordination of volunteers and vendors, to doing exquisite creative work with flowers, guest favor tags and a hundred other things, Teissia took the reins and made it all work. And that was no easy feat, believe me! We had quite an ambitious program and several strong personalities in the mix, but Teissia was kind and graceful yet firm and perfectly on-​time. If I could do it all over again (and i would in a heartbeat!) Teissia would be my first call.

Firefly Events knows how to throw an incredible wrap party! Teissia had an amazing location, famous dj, and delicious vegan catering taken care of in no time. She was organized, innovative, and excellent when it came to dealing with celebrity clientele.

We felt blessed in so many ways to have Firefly Events coordinate our wedding. Teissia was extraordinarily helpful to us, and took pressures off of us in ways we had not even considered. Her eye for color and design is spectacular. She added many artistic touches that were spot on, making our wedding even more beautiful than we imagined it would be. She negotiated with our vendors, getting the price of our catering down quite a bit without sacrificing quality. So a large chunk of what we paid Firefly was actually subsidized by money she saved us. She even made a phone call for us to a guest that would have been difficult for us. Someone RSVP’d and included her children… except we had not invited the children. Teissia was kind enough to call and explain this to our guest. What a relief that was, as neither my wife nor I wanted to make that call. The day of the wedding, Teissia had a calm energy about her that rubbed off on us, and she seemed to be everywhere at once. Our wedding was simply perfect.
After the wedding was over, I found out that there had been some problems with the caterer (broken plates, issues with food, etc.) But we were unaware of the trouble as Teissia handled these issues quietly, without us knowing.
I highly recommend using Firefly Events, particularly if you want someone with an artistic side and an eye for beauty,

If I could have given firefly events 10 stars I would have. Teissia is and was one of the most organized and professional people I have ever met. Our wedding was amazing and it was all because of her, she was funny, relaxed, and was welling to answer every single question I bombarded her with.
