If you want a totally frustrating and awful experience, call this company for your home repairs. I think this company is a complete scam! I am reporting them my realtor and recommend she not sell this policy to her future customers. We bought a home that had several small repairs, they have denied all on various exclusions. This company is a rip off!

Have had a wall oven fire where fire department had to come and remove the oven to put out the fire. They denied the claim because the subject of appliance failure was not in place!!! We had all holidays without an oven. We placed many calls, they never sent an adjuster to even look at the oven which we left for months in the garage (which smelled). This company is one of the worst insurance companies we have EVER had dealings with! DO NOT USE THEM. They protect nothing especially your patience, nerves, and trust.

I don’t think they deserve any stars at all. I bought a townhouse in June and my electric water heater did not work. They still cannot get a plumber or schedule around my schedule to get it fixed. The electric water heater they replaced it did not work either and already cost me 150 for install not covered + 50 for a tech to come out and had 3 tech’s come out now.
It is now December and my electric water heater is still not fixed. if they are trying to run a scam they are doing a great job and at this point I am getting it replaced myself.

A month later. no one knows where the part for my dryer is. So many quarters wasted in the public dryer…

This company has absolutely HORRID costumer service. Very unethical practices. The call back services is a complete sham. I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you. I have been kept on hold and hung up on multiple times. If the person were serious about assisting with my claim and inadvertently disconnected the call, he could’ve have called back. This never happened on any occasion. They pretend to elevate the claim to supervisor or next level status, but they are just as ineffective so I doubt the claim is actually being elevated. Claims specialists assigned to my claim have yet to call back. The claim is nearly 2 months old. I have had them for a while and its been fine, but no more. Clearly this is the culture of the organization, you cant have this many bad employees without the green light to do so. As soon as my microwave is fixed. I am canceling. I’ll find another company. I hope this helps someone to choose a different organization.

I would give this company 100 negative stars. They are a bunch of criminals. If you actually want a home warranty with protection go with ANY other company then this one. Ive been calling our claim specialist for 2 weeks every single day and not one call back. Our dishwasher has been broken for over 50 days and they’ve sent out 2 people with back and fourth reports to now say there is body damage and they won’t cover anything. Total lie. Managers will hang up on you when you try to get to the bottom of any problem you are having. Lawsuits I’m sure will be flying at this company.

Horrible customer service experience. Have a GE microwave that has not been heating. The claim has been open for 2 months and there is absolutely no accountability to resolve the issue. All i keep getting is «we are trying to get the contractor to respond…». I have stopped calling and has come down to communicating with them via message on their online site. I just hope someone running this organization looks at those message and tries to do something about it. Got a few more months and without doubt ain’t renewing with this company. Wonder how many customers out there are going thru the same issues. Just an awful experience.

We have been a customer of First American Home Buyers Protection Corporation for 13 years. Recently our microwave went out. A repairman came & identified the problem & I also pointed out to him that the LED display was so dim it was almost not even visible. He did turn in that information the FAHBC. However, today, when they called to schedule a date for the repairman to come back & install the faulty part, I was told that they will not also take care of the LED problem. When I talked to FAHBC, they said the reason is because it is «still readable». Yeah if you get a flashlight & get right on top of it! After arguing this point with the person on the phone, I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold for 10 – 15 minutes & then the phone went dead! Next I tried to get an email address for the company & of course that was impossible. I did get a physical address & I will write a letter of extreme frustration & disappointment in their company. After all these years, I am going to look for another company to change to. This has taken up WAY TOO MUCH OF MY TIME, & with no results!
