We specialize in high quality handmade rugs, traditional and contemporary designs as well as custom rugs. Our collection includes hand-​woven as well as hand-​knotted pieces in a range of colors, sizes, looks, and prices. We also carry vintage Turkish kilims, and kilim pillows. Our Broadway location specializes in helping interior designers find and create the ideal floor coverings for their spaces.

Established in 2015.

Floorplan Rugs was founded to take our years of experience in importing and creating rugs and share that knowledge with lovers of hand-​crafted rugs and kilims. Our founders have been bringing the finest rugs to people the world over for over 30 years.

Meet the Business Owner

Erin E.

Business Owner

Erin started her career as a service and interaction designer more than a decade ago. Trained as a journalist and designer she focused on building a career as a designer who understood people and their needs. After years of consulting in New York and a bold decision to move to Turkey, Erin founded a design studio in Istanbul that saw the power that a company centered around design can have. It was then that she decided to bring this same philosophy to an industry in dire need of fresh thinking: rugs.

Not only do rugs themselves embody issues close to Erin’s heart — stellar design and craftsmanship, economic opportunities for women, rich historical and cultural influences — but finding and producing the cream of the crop requires one of her favorite past times: travel. Her work may take her far from her native Akron, Ohio, but she feels right at home working between Los Angeles (Floorplan’s HQ), Istanbul, New York, and a handful of weaving centers across the globe.
