Didn’t figure out the parking until I got inside. I ended up parking somewhere down town off 4^th and Broadway and just walked it to the trade center. Not terrible. I like walking. But now that I know they have designated parking I’ll definitely try to find it.
Outside of that. This exchange was perfect. Walked in, super quiet. One person in front of me. Honestly it was so fast, I was in and out of the actual building in literally no more than 5 minutes. No fees either which is awesome. My heart just hurts a little every time I exchange for British pounds. The American dollar is basically worthless. Ugh!
I’ll be back though for sure!

I’ve been here twice now and had good experiences both time. The staff were nice and my exchange rate was just one Mexican peso less than the rate on Google. I’d definitely recommend coming here — and yes, they validate parking.

Always a smooth and pleasant experience. No up sell which makes a change. The amounts of exchange are on the Window next to the counter. Easy to park and they do validate so this makes using the service seamless.

Great rate! I called so many places and was excited to hear about their rate. The current dollar to yen was 1:113 and they gave me 1:111. I couldn’t find anything more than 105. Highly recommended.

I got a quote on Wednesday (4÷6÷16) for $ to Yen.
Michelle quoted me 107 and said I can make an appointment and pick it up for that price on Saturday.
Called today (4÷8÷16) to confirm my appointment and Michelle said now its 106 and you need to make a down-​payment to reserve the quote from Wednesday. Well damn, she shoulda told me that on Wednesday.

Best exchange rates in town! The business is very quick to respond and the availability on Saturday by appointment is amazing! Glad I made the trek downtown! It is worth it!
They also validate parking and the instructions on where to park are very easy to follow!

After calling around and comparing, this is the place to exchange our hard earned dollars to yen! In and out in a jiffy. Fast and done within 10 minutes. Parked at the WTC parking n had our parking ticket validated. At the current exchange rate was 118¥ to$ 1, we got 116¥ to our dollar. Yippee the best price around. The other 5 stars place wanted 113¥ for our $ 1. SO GO HERE.

I called ahead to ask if the currency I held was being bought. The woman over the phone had such a pleasant demeanor. She said yes, and quoted me .903, exactly what forex said. I hopped in my car and drove on down there. She even boasted of no exchange fee.
Immediately, I was asked by the SAME woman what I had been quoted, I gave her the number. She said that was the purchase rate not the buy back rate.
Don’t say one thing then do another. Took my money elsewhere.

This place has hands down best rate for currency exchange. I have gone and also called many many different places for currency exchanges in LA and this place had the best rate. It is quick and easy transaction. If you wanna know the rate just call in advance and they will tell you the rate right away not like some place where they said can’t tell the rate over the phone…
Also bank charges too much fees and probably the worst place to exchange money (in my case buy US dollar with Japanese yet), so don’t go to your bank to change it. If you have time to drive down to down town LA, this place is so far the best place to go. There are street parking and parking at the building, and they will validate your parking also.

Since I am traveling to Japan for a couple of weeks, I needed to exchange dollars to yen. A couple of people recommended coming here and I can see why! They gave me 120 yen/​dollar (current rate is about 123 yen/​dollar). No problems with bringing $$$ to exchange (I called the day before and the lady that answered said that there was no need to preorder the money — Nice!). This was way easier, quicker, and cheaper than trying to exchange money through my bank.
The only downside is parking (in the World Trade Center building — Enter on Figueroa). I got lucky and found a spot. They validate parking, so if your time parking there exceeds the Free limit, then they validate for a partial discount. All in all it took me less than 10 minutes to park, find the place (which is in the lobby on the other side of the info/​security desk), fill out the form (for first time customers), and exchange my money.
Super friendly service too (its nice not having to deal with people who have attitude! — lol).

I love this place! I’m so lucky to work in DTLA where I dont have to deal with parking, be sure to check the business hours because they close early. I get my euros here all the time before I go on my trips. They have a great exchange rate and are kind and courteous to help you. This is a small setup you’re in and out of this place within 10 minutes or less. I did get lost because its buried way in some business office near the Bonaventure hotel. Give them a call before you go and you won’t be disappointed!

This place is awesome! My husband and I were looking for a place with the best currency exchange rate for our Greece trip. We called before we went, and their rate was unbeatable! No transaction fees. Better than the bank, and definitely way better than exchanging at an airport. Ideally, if you need euros in cash, it’s best to get it from an ATM in the European country, but with the current situation in Greece and their daily limits on ATMs, we didn’t want to take our chances and decided to get cash BEFORE we got there. So glad we did! It was super fast, easy, and the guy working was really nice!
Tips: located inside World Trade Center in DTLA. They validate your parking for you so it’ll be $ 2 after validation.

Stopped by here to get some dollars exchanged for Japanese Yen. Right by my gym so it was super convenient and they gave me 3 yen off of the current exchange rate vs my bank (Chase) where I would have gotten 8000 less yen!
No fees either and the employees were super friendly and efficient. Don’t go anywhere else to exchange your money!

Best rates in LA. I got euro at 1.1355. Now, I am ready for vacation. I called first for the rate and the person was very nice and helpful.

No transection fees, the best currency exchange place ever!!!

This is the place where I always go to get foreign currencies exchange for my travels. I never really analyzed how much each transaction cost but today I actually kept my receipt and figured it out using my XE app:
$ 1,496.47 dollars = € 1,315 euros, $ 77 transaction fee
$ 700 dollars = 450.16 pounds, $ 22 transaction fee
So it’s definitely expensive, but cheaper than other currency exchange and definitely cheaper to exchange at the airport or banks. Another reviewer mentioned using ur ATM debit card, which will give u even best exchange rate.
As for this store it convenient located in downtown la, inside the World Trade Center. They do validate for parking (see pic of their parking policy), but I find the parking structure very confusing and crowded, so being the downtown brat I am, I just park in the side street (4^th st?, see pic) walk down to Figueroa entrance, take th elevator up one floor to the World Trade Center, it much faster and direct. Came to FCE to get Euros and Rubles.
Location & Parking:
This place is tucked away pretty good within World Trade. You’ll most likely have to pay for garage parking to come here which isn’t cheap in downtown.
Process:
Since Euros are widely used, it was a fast and easy transaction. For Rubles, I had to place an order and give them at least 2 days to get the amount I needed. Even then, they could not obtain all the Rubles I ordered. I wanted something like $ 250 worth of Rubles and they were only able to fulfill $ 200. So if you need an uncommon currency, make sure you call them prior and see if they can get it in time for your trip. For currencies that requires placing an order, there is a 10% deposit. There are no fees for all the transactions but they make money on the daily exchange rate.
I was told by couple folks that this place has some of the better rates for foreign currency exchange. While I didn’t shop around I’ll share a breakdown of my transaction.
I had 100 Euro to exchange into Dollar.
FCE rate was 1.3
Online daily rate for 100 Euro was $ 134.30
I got $ 130 from FCE, Loss = $ 4.30 for the exchange.
Not bad!
I had 1210 Rubles to exchange into Dollar.
FCE Rate was 0.026
Online daily rate for 1210 Rubles was $ 34.43
I got $ 31.46 from FCE, Loss = $ 2.97 for the exchange.
Not Bad!
They will also take coins but the rates for coins are worse.
Place closes at 4 PM so come early.
