DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE!!! I had ordered a Snow White costume from this place over 1 month before I needed it just to make sure I have plenty of time to receive it. I also ordered a flapper headpiece. I received the order 3.5 WEEKS LATER and it was missing the flapper headpiece. In addition my Snow White costume was a large and I had ordered a small. I called the store to see if there was any way I could get another costume sent out to me. They refused to pay for expedited shipping so that I could receive my costume in time even though they acknowledged their mistake. Not only did I have to go to the post office to return the order, I also had to re-​order the costume and pay for my own expedited shipping. I received the order 2 days later and the cape on the Snow White was missing hooks. I had to return this costume as well and scramble to find an alternate. Finally to top it all off, they refunded my orders but minus the tax charged. This place has terrible quality check and rips off their customers.

This review is for the website, I love ordering from this company especially during Halloween season they have so much to choose from, and then gosh all there lingerie, super nice, now I’m seeing there adding allot more clothing! Hot!!~Customer service is good I called in my order and they were super helpful and very polite. we all need some forplay in our lives, it just makes everything better haha

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS PLACE. They try to shame you into not criticizing their ridiculous practices operating business online and will totally screw you over.
First, they boast same-​day shipping for items ordered before 2pm, so when I didn’t even get an email confirmation that my order had shipped and it had been over a week, I emailed customer service. They replied saying something like «please note that you ordered an item with such and such a tag and as stated on our website, these items may take additional business days to ship.» I receive an ‘item shipped’ confirmation 10 minutes later so clearly that was a BS way to make me feel like I was in the wrong when they screwed up.
I did receive my order quickly after that, but didn’t like the way it fit. I tried it on (with my own panties underneath), and put it right back in its packaging having decided I didn’t like it. (FYI, it’s cheap for a reason, the bra barely had any padding despite the picture making it look like a push-​up.) That’s fine though, I considered that a possibility and knew items were returnable, so I sent it back. I get an email 2 weeks later that my ‘exchange’ has shipped to my address. I emailed customer service, and they respond saying «Your item was returned used and dirty, so as per our policy we sent it back to you.» I responded saying this is not possible, but they continued to insist «the panties were dirty» and they couldn’t do anything for me. They obviously are accustomed to shaming customers so that customers don’t try to contest claims that they sent back dirty panties when it is a lie.
I received the returned item with a letter included detailing that «the panties were soiled» and «we have marked with tape where inspected item had been soiled.» Not only was it in perfect clean condition as I had returned it, but there wasn’t even any tape to be found on it.
Spend a little extra and get something that actually fits right from a place that actually cares about their customers.

I would give it a negative if I could. One of the WORST experiences I have had and I order things online all the time.
I placed an order on ¹¹⁄₃₀ only to have an email sent to me on ¹²⁄₁ saying that there is an additional 3 – 4 day wait and if I still want the merchandise since I asked for expedited shipping. I said go ahead with the order. It is ¹²⁄₈ and I still have not received anything or any confirmation of shipping.
I sent 3 emails to the person that reached out to me and left 4 voice mails. I finally got a live CS rep on the phone tonight and she told me that my order should arrive on ¹²⁄₁₁ (I needed it by ¹²⁄₁₀) and 3 of the items are on backorder and no one even bothered to let me know. I was charged for ALL the items on the day that i made the purchase (10 days ago). SERIOUSLY?
I asked to be refunded/​speak to the manager and when the CS rep transferred me it went straight to voice mail (the 5^th time in 2 days). When I called the CS number back it went straight to voice mail AGAIN. Now I don’t know what to do but call the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint.

Over priced and dank looking

Wait a second, I was talking about the store! No no, not that! That’s spelled F-​O-​R-​E-​P-​L-​A-​Y. This is spelled F-​O-​R-​P-​L-​A-​Y! No, I love that too as much as the next person but you’re kind of missing my point, ay yay yay! Pervs. I’m going back to my review.
During my college years, I was obsessed with costumes. (Ok I lied, I’m still obsessed but don’t tell anyone else that. I blame being in a sorority with all the constant themed parties I went to over four years.) Forplay was there for me through it all to help me with ideas to nail every theme on the head!
From Forplay, I’ve specifically bought these complete costumes:
–Lion Tamer
–Officer Naughty
–Candy Striper
–Sexy Referee
–Gangster Glam
I. Love. Them. ALL. Especially Officer Naughty and Lion Tamer. I’ve been able to reuse those many a time for various parties and they’ve lasted for over four years now! Durable costumes, they are.
Besides costumes, I’ve also gotten tons accessories there such as hats, gloves, handcuffs, whips, and so forth. If you’re in the mood for a clubby outfit, they have tons of dress options as well that will make you look stripperiffic!
… but keep it on the classy side, ladies.
Granted, I have seen real strippers and what are most likely hookers come here to shop (it is Hollywood Boulevard for the love of God) but that doesn’t deter me at all. With an amazing selection of products and helpful employees to aid me in my quest for the perfect ensemble whether it be for Halloween, Vegas, or a party, I can think of no other store in Los Angeles I’d rather go to!

I’ve been an online customer here for 2 – 3 years. They have a good selection of costumes, dresses, lingerie. (The lingerie is more on the classier side than sluttier)
I’ve bought dresses for new years eve and the club and so far– like how they fit. Since Forplay clothing tends to run a little snug, it’s perfect for me since I’m short and have a thin frame.
Definitely subscribe to the mailing list. I’ve saved up to 33% + free shipping just by checking the email blasts.
I’ve never had to contact customer service which is a really good thing. Definitely would like to stop by the store but only when Hollywood Blvd isn’t congested… good luck to me.

A girl like me can definitely appreciate a place like this!
Forplay is very refreshing when places like Victoria’s Secret charges you an arm and a leg for very bland pieces of lingerie.
Forplay has really fun and unique merchandise for very reasonable prices. The store employees are very helpful and friendly which was also a plus for me! Apparently this is NOT the place to make an online order, but I think if you go into the store you will be pleasantly surprised with what you find!
Only bad thing is that parking really sucks in hollywood.
I got hit with 2 tickets @ once by the pinche meter maids.

Another place that makes me wish Unilocal has a zero rating or even subtract from what others give.
Their selection of costumes and «regular items» can be impressive, but their customer service skills need a revamp. They either don’t acknowledge you at all or give you very minimal info to say they responded (but is something you can read off their site).
If you’re planning on ordering online, BEWARE. Be sure that you know what you want and that it fits. Otherwise, you’ll be screwed. I got a costume for Halloween and it was a bit big. So I returned it. Rules are 30 days for a full refund of the item (not including shipping) as long as not used. Check. The return address was this location address. Check. Sent via Next Day USPS (which gives me proof i sent). Check.
After a few weeks, I emailed customer service to see if they received my package and to see the status of the refund. I get an email back by the end of the day (EST) stating «Please allow approximately 15 – 30 days from when we receive the package for your return to process. We thank you for your patience.» Didn’t answer my question, but no problem. I waited til January (longer than they stated) and asked again because I did not find any refunds to my account. No response. Waited another 2 weeks to contact them. No response. Seriously, this is ridiculous. I’d probably be slightly less mad if I was being «swindled» by some chumpy-​obscure online store, but some chumpy online store with store and retailers that carry their line that equates to some sort of reputation?! That’s just bad business practices.
So now i’m out of an expensive costume plus out of $ 80. Lose, lose for me! Next step, I’m taking it to the BBB.

So while my friend shopped for an all black vinyl catsuit for a new vampire movie coming out, I combed the sales rack finding a beautiful Mary Green French lavender silk nightie marked down from $ 60 to $ 15 and no, you may not see any pictures. Short of the obvious carnal pleasure, I love this kind of foreplay. And there’s lots to be found here and within many of the other naughty shops along this infamous boulevard.
P. S., my friend found her catsuit here so look for it in the next vampire movie. She’s hot and will look killer-​diller as she slaughters the creatures of the night but like most vampire movies, it’ll suck.

Sure, if you live in Nebraska and you desperately need a pair of 9 inch lucite heels, you could use the catalog. But why not remember the reasons why you moved to Los Angeles in the first place and come by the Hollywood Blvd storefront?
Nestled in between five or six other establishments servicing the local clientele, Four Play is a rather respectable place to find that perfect addition to your boudoir or last minute sexy Halloween costume.
I must confess I have never bought anything but lucite heels from 4Play… a girl can never have enough stilettos to drop it low in… and having said that, I am always very happy with the quality and style of the shoes on offer. Not many heels can withstand a beating game of touch high heel football (what? don’t judge me!), but my 4Play heels have always withstood the test of time.
Four Play: the only thing trannies, strippers, mid-​West housewives and you can agree on.

I come here every year for my halloween costumes & the lingerie is also fun to buy… I love the quality of their costumes & have never had any problems when I go in. I usually will go early to get the full treatment while the staff helps you play dress up…
Their website also has good deals on their costumes if you get lucky.
I bought a really cute pin up sailor outfit & I got 30% off their website which was a great deal… but my recommendation is go early & try it on first if you’re going to order online. if not you’re pretty much screwed on that because the return policy is diffcult.

I agree with Sandy and am very upset that I didn’t read her review before ordering from the online store. This company is super SHADY. Their terms and conditions are very unclear during the checkout cycle. I’ve bought a lot of products online and have never had to deal with this situation.
I purchased a Halloween costume online. It didn’t fit and wasn’t the same color as the image. I called their customer service line and a representative told me I could send it back for store credit only since it was a costume and a sale item. I was fine with that. SO I PAID for shipping out of my own pocket for the return. Then they sent the box back to me and charged my credit card to ship it back to me. I called them again and their representative couldn’t do anything for me unless I could give them the name of the person I spoke to in the first place. WTF? I wrote her name down somewhere and can’t find it. I know that’s my fault, BUT they wouldn’t even take off the shipping charges.
So basically, I shipped it back for no reason and was charged twice for it because their service rep gave me the wrong information. I had even called the store before shipping it to see if I could return it there, but apparently they are not affiliated! WTF?
Don’t buy from the online store unless you want to waste your money.

If I could give this place 0 stars I honestly would, and that’s the first time I’ve ever said that.
I went back two weeks ago to get the money from their overcharge (see previous review). When I arrived around 7PM, I explained my situation to the lady at the counter and asked for my refund. She looked very annoyed, although she agreed that the girl had overcharged me. She told me since the sales rep who helped me was not there, she could not refund my money, and that I would need to come back on another day when the girl is working. Then she proceeded to ring up the girl behind me, even though I was still standing by the counter and trying to talk to her. She basically ignored me, probably hoping I would leave.
I asked to speak to a manager, because I thought it was ridiculous that I would have to keep going back to the store for their mistake. The lady gave me an exasperated look and told me she was the manager, and there was nothing she could do because she needed to «get approval» from the girl who made the sale to refund me. I was in shock, considering she’s supposed to be the manager, why couldn’t she authorize the refund when her employee clearly made a mistake?
After refusing to leave without my money, the so called «manager» finally called the sales person who helped me, and got the the «approval» to make the refund.
I am extremely unsatisfied with the way people do business in this store. Not only did she flat out brush me off while I was standing in front of her, she expected me to come back to fix her employee’s mistake. Thinking about this experience just pisses me off, so I definitely will never return to Forplay Hollywood again.

I’m going to keep this short and simple (a lot like me…)
They have a lot of amazingly hot items, but they are also amazingly overpriced. The garments are good quality and very sexy, but I usually visit this store LAST because heavens knows you can find comparable items at other stores for less.
The sales girls are alright, I don’t really seek their help while shopping so they spend more time on the needy girls, which is fine by me. All I want is for somebody to say hello when I walk in, ask if I want a room, and be able to quickly take my money and give me a receipt. All in all, they’re pretty good at that.
Love the loot, but check elsewhere first if you can get it for less.

Forplay workers are always amazing to me. they opened the store after closing because they knew me.
They give me real feedback on how dresses look on me.
The prices are affordable.

Ok. 1 point gets knocked down for high prices.
Another point for perverted men touching your buttocks or peeking while you are changing.

I have been coming to Forplay for costumes and Vegas dresses for years. Their costumes are not only well made, but unique and amazingly detailed and well thought out. Now, I admit, I start stalking their website the second new costumes are posted, and this year was pretty set on the Indian. But being the costume whore I am, I had to go walk Hollywood Blvd to make sure there was nothing better, and well, trying on costumes is KEY.
The month before Halloween can be a little crazy here, and the owner is a total sweetheart, but don’t you dare take anything out of the packaging, he will lecture you.
That said, if you don’t have the money for a Trashy costume, Forplay is just a step down, and price wise, ¹⁄₃ of Trashy prices.
Forplay during the year is where I go for my slutty Vegas dresses… The last one I bought was their 4 way dress in leopard. The experience I had while buying this dress might rub some shy girls the wrong way, but I enjoyed it. Into the dressing room I went, and within second of putting the dress on, the owner tapped on my curtain and asked if he could help… well, why not… So out I came, and he worked like a magician, pulling, tucking, wrapping, and telling me where to hold my boobies so they would look biggest. Well, 4 whirlwind styles later, I walked out with my $ 80 stripper dress happier than a clam…
Is it bad I consider stripper dresses good for Vegas?
