From Head To Toe

I was considering getting botox this year for fine lines and wrinkles. I decided to go in for a facial first and I’m so glad I did. I chose Sharon at From Head to Toe because of the organic facial and because I had heard about her services in a number of different places (my yoga studio, a nutritionist friend).
My facial was incredible. Thorough but not painful. Relaxing and hydrating. Sharon was full of information and also fantastic in her technique. She was also adamant that I do not need botox and asked me to give it at least 6 months with a few new products.
Well, it’s only been 3 weeks and I can say my fine lines and wrinkles are gone! It’s been amazing to watch how plump and hydrated my skin is staying from my facial and the addition of 2 new products. The products are so effective I barely have to use any each time. The small amount makes each bottle a fantastic value.
I look forward to another facial in a few weeks and am doing my best to get my husband in too (we all need a little TLC for our skin!)

I’m so grateful to Sharon for transforming my skin! I had major skin problems as a teenager, went on Accutane, and while my skin is super sensitive (in part due to the Accutane), my skin was relatively clear in my 20s. When I turned 30, my skin totally changed. I started getting horrible hormonal acne on my chin that would go from bad to worse each month, but never go away completely. My skin became so sensitive that nothing new I tried was working, except a few Eminence products that were sensitive enough for my skin. It was through using Eminence that I found her here on Unilocal,so I came in before my wedding for a facial. I left glowing and was getting compliments on my skin for weeks afterwards.
I’ve been to Sharon for two facials, and she put me on a regimen of products specific to my skin issues. I haven’t had a trace of hormonal acne or sensitivity issues for 8 months now since my last facial and since using the products she recommended (see my before & after photo in the photos section). Not only is Sharon a miracle worker, she is an absolutely lovely person. I always leave From Head To Toe feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Thank you so much!

UPDATE: In response to Sharon, I personally feel like the refund was warranted considering my skin was DESTROYED from coming to your spa. I’ve uploaded a photo of what my skin looked like PRIOR to coming to From Head to Toe. Even while I was on retinoids — tretinoin (October 2013-​May 2014) & retinoic acid (around 2009 – 2010) — prior, my skin HAS NEVER BEEN THIS EXPONENTIALLY DISASTROUS (I have more photos to prove it. Anyone interested can send me a message). I broke out a lot, sure. But the tiny clogged pores have never been an issue until coming to this spa. Touching my face and looking at the mirror feel like torture. There is not a day that goes by where I don’t regret coming to this spa.

I have undergone blood work multiple times, all with normal results. I eat healthy (I’m mostly pescatarian though I cheat with meat and sugary treats from time to time). I also drink vegetable juice (one that I make fresh via nutribullet) every morning on an empty stomach. As for acupuncture, there is VERY little scientific backing on this and it’s mostly anecdotal reports where people actually had results.
It is very frustrating to feel like I’m being blamed for my horrid skin when this has never been an issue prior to coming to From Head to Toe. My skin was reactive and it may or may not have been allergic to the products I have used. Either way, to put sole blame on my end feels severely unfair, especially since you’re not the one dealing with the repercussions.

Heaven knows how much I wanted to like this place. Sharon & the rest of the staff were sweethearts, the massage & the facial experience felt wonderful & it was refreshing to be able to go out after a facial without looking like I was fresh out of a beating.
BUT, I am writing this review with tear streaked eyes, completely frustrated and regretting the day I tried this spa. I came to Sharon with the following acne problems: whiteheads & blackheads on my nose & chin but nothing overtly serious, one or two zits (I don’t get these very often) & cysts (these I do get in two-​five around my period).
I was recommended the following products: Eminence probiotics wash, Kerafole exfoliating mask, Eminence probiotic moisturizer & their own sulfur & zinc oxide mask. For the first month, I used only the probiotics wash & the exfoliating mask. I had gotten clogged pores on my cheeks & forehead (somewhere I don’t normally get them) & cystic acne on my chin but it wasn’t bad. I thought my skin was purging it all out.
I went in for a second facial and was recommended the moisturizer & their sulfur mask to add onto my current routine. I used all products for another month. After that, all hell basically broke loose. Clogged pores peppered my ENTIRE JAW & FOREHEAD AREA to the point that it feels like sandpaper to my touch. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS TYPE OF ACNE BEFORE UNTIL I CAME TO THIS SPA! Cystic acne sprouted right next to each other, I wake up crying in front of the mirror and I am on the verge of considering accutane — something I’ve never even considered before. I immediately stopped using the products and cancelled all future appointments.
It’s been two weeks & I have given up on aestheticians. I have scheduled an appointment with a dermatologist (which isn’t cheap). I am terribly depressed & unbearably self-​conscious, so much so that I HAVE TO WEAR LAYERS OF FOUNDATION JUST TO RUN ERRANDS, AND I DON’T LET MY BOYFRIEND TOUCH OR LOOK AT MY FACE ANYMORE.
I returned the products & Sharon has refunded them (just the products — not the facials), but I am looking into other measures I can take to ensure that this doesn’t happen to anyone again.
If I could turn back time, I would be miles away from this spa. But I came, and my once smooth (those that don’t have active spots at least) facial skin feels like there’s gravel underneath. If you don’t have problematic skin, this place is for you. But if you do, run far away.

I had an organic facial with Sharon and it was truly heavenly! All the products used on my face felt luxurious. I left feeling as though my skin had been nourished and rebalanced.

When I arrived for my customized organic peel/​facial with Sharon I was not in my finest state. I was on my third road trip to So Cal in less than three weeks, surviving on 5 hours of sleep a day for months, super busy with running my own business and bombarded with numerous other commitments and things to do. I have neglected to take proper care of myself for quite some time now.
This was my last driving trip to LA from SF and I was there to be a bridesmaid in a wedding. My skin was dry, dull and I looked tired.
The wedding was an absolute blast and of course plenty of pictures were taken. I can not beleive the number of people who took the time to tell me how my skin looked so radiant and how much of a gorgeous glow I had. I was told they never saw me look better in a photo, and all this in spite of how I felt.
I highly recommend Sharon and will make a point to book with her everytime I am in LA. Alos love the all organbic Emininece products she uses!

This place is AMAZING. The entire vibe is so relaxing and very zen, but not in a weird off-​putting way. In a very inviting, friendly, kind way.
I have received both a facial treatment and acupuncture here, and both were INCREDIBLE. My acupuncturist was gentle, informative, and brilliant at what she does. She is also intuitive and gave an intuitive reading, which I enjoyed and felt was spot on.
Sharon, the facialist, was equally kind, informative and amazing at her craft. I left with a glowing face, and noticeably smoother skin. I purchased some all natural products and am so excited to see what the results are!

I’m a holistic practitioner and have been shopping around to find a place that really truly cares about skin from a holistic viewpoint. Sharon is that person. We are very like minded and she really applies her knowledge and customizes your facial for what your specific needs are. I truly regret giving this place three stars, mainly because of the excellent customer service and customer-​oriented experience.
The reason for the three stars is because I’ve gone in a couple of times and although Sharon was very sweet with every encounter, I didn’t think there was any improvement or «glow/​radiance» to my skin after my facials.
Customer service is super important, but so is the professional service. I didn’t see any professional results– hence, I will continue my search for different spas.

From Head to Toe really does deserve all its 5 star reviews. I love it so much more than any of the other businesses I’ve written 5 star reviews for — I’m considering downgrading those reviews to 4 stars: P
I’ve been to FHTT twice now and I can honestly say it’s the BEST facial I have ever gotten in my life, which is saying a lot since I get facials on a regular basis to keep my breakouts at bay.
Before my first appointment with Sharon, I was really skeptical. I’ve been to a couple of skincare establishments with glowing reviews on Unilocal,only to be disappointed, but this place is the real deal. I love how Sharon took her time with my skincare analysis during our first appointment. I brought in all of the products I’ve been using and Sharon gave me her honest opinion on every single one of them.
I also like the fact that she focuses on using natural and organic products. As someone who is prone to breakouts, I’ve always been reluctant to use natural products as I always assumed they weren’t strong or potent enough to tackle my breakouts, but I was SO wrong. The products that Sharon uses target prevention, which I think makes much more sense than waiting for breakouts to happen and then piling on a bunch of chemical creams to the problem area. As Sharon says, the skin is the largest organ in your body and absorbs whatever you put on it — why not take care of it like we do with the rest of our body?
The session itself is so relaxing. Heated bed, soothing music, and a massage all while your face is getting pampered. Like other reviewers have said, you have the option of knowing each step of the process or enjoy the facial in complete, relaxing silence.
The only downsides I can think of is parking and price. Parking is street, which isn’t too hard to find, but Gardner is permit parking only after 6 pm and Beverly is metered parking for 2 hours max. A facial session runs me $ 135 and I always feel like I’m getting my money’s worth, but let’s face it, $ 135 is still a good chunk of change. BUT, all in all, I adore FHTT and always look forward to my sessions with Sharon.

What an awesome splurge.
I got a Christmas bonus and had never gotten a facial before. I was a little nervous about my skin looking gross for a few days afterwards, but almost immediately afterwards I could see the difference. When I walked into the business, an exiting customer just GUSHED about Sharon, making me feel super excited to get started. Sharon was AMAZING. She taught me so much about my skin and the facial was one of the most relaxing things I’ve ever done. I’m pretty sure I fell asleep.
Sharon is providing me with a skin care régime that she recommends for my skin and you bet I’ll be buying all of those products if it keeps my skin looking this way.

I chose From Head to Toe for my first facial since 8^th grade (that’s 10 years ago!)… and I’m so glad I did. The studio was clean, quiet, and as soon as I took my shoes off I felt right at home. I was greeted by Sharon, the sweetest lady ever, and after filling out an intake form, we went right into talking about my skincare regimen, goals, etc. I definitely recommend bringing in the products you use so that Sharon can inform you on what you’re doing right and wrong. She was very attentive to what I had to say and gave great feedback as well.
She gave me time to change into the robe and get comfortable on the delicious HEATED bed. She gave the option of explaining everything to me as she was going along or just doing her thing while I relaxed. Although I chose to listen to her step-​by-​step, the facial was nothing short of relaxing! Her products felt amazing on my skin and my face felt so smooth and refreshed when she was done. Oh! Can’t forget the amazing neck, shoulder, and arm massages she gives you as as the masks are doing their thing.
I had been using harsh acne-​fighting cleansers and toners on my skin as a mode of prevention and keeping my skin oil-​free but Sharon informed me that the products I was using were actually exacerbating my skin and increasing oil production. I chose to purchase her probiotic cleanser as a daily cleanser (I can actually feel it working), the Kerafole exfoliating mask (this product is amazing! I used it 7 days straight as an intensive purging treatment and holy $%!+ it leaves my skin feeling amazing and I can definitely see a difference in its texture), and the travel-​size moisturizer with sunscreen (basic sunscreen).
If you want to give your skin a special treat, I definitely recommend From Head to Toe. FYI, take advantage of the $ 20 off discount for first-​time customers!

What a wonderful experience! Sharon is such a professional, and she creates a calming and relaxing atmosphere. The studio is well equipped and spotless and smells wonderful. Sharon’s products are organic and top of the line, and she explained everything that would happen.

First time getting my facial here and I have acne /​combination skin, so from my experience I always think chemical peel works best on me, but Sharon suggested me to try the signature facial since I was a first timer there, so I went for it. It has been about 3 weeks now since I did it, I have bought her product for pigmentation and clearing masque. I don’t have serious problem of acne, but I would have break out here and there and last for a long time. I would say the product works fairly well and I am quite happy with the result so far (price is affordable too, so Thumbs up^^). I haven’t had any breakout since then, and my skin is slowly but surely getting better.
I mean, it is not magic, so it does take some time for the skin to change, I am being patient and follow Sharon’s instruction of how often I should use those product.
Pros:I also like Sharon ‘s personality, she is professional and make you feel really comfortable. She is knowledgeable about skin care and she is not pushy about selling her product, it is all up to you.
Tip: Bring your own product to her if you are first timers, she would help you to see what is best for you.

First review I’ve ever made on Unilocal and I have to say Sharon deserves it ! Just left my second time ever going to head to toe. My first visit was amazing she was more knowledgeable than my last 3 dermatologist visits she sincerely cares about her clients. She creates the most comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and gave me great advice on how to maintain my skin organically from the inside out. Glad I found this golden gem :)

Love, love, love From Head to Toe! I’ve had two facials with Sharon so far and my skin looks much better than it did before we met. I’ve had acne-​prone skin for a long time now and I’ve tried just about everything to treat it. I’m happy to say that my treatments here are really helping. Sharon is a genuinely sweet, compassionate person and I can tell that she actually cares about her client’s welfare. Not only did she give me a fantastic facial, but she also analyzed my skin and gave me recommendations for treating my skin inside and out.
Both times I’ve been to From Head to Toe I’ve felt extremely relaxed, cleansed, and radiant. I know I’ll be going to Sharon for a very long time!

While some medical spas are very result-​oriented, these appointments are often too comparable to a doctor’s office visit and who can really unwind and be calm at one of those? And while other medical spas deliver very soothing facials, it’s all smoke and mirrors… no results. Head to Toe facials offer the perfect medium of RELAXATION and RESULTS… and Sandra definitely delivers.
I scheduled via the Head to Toe website and was able to snag an appointment a week later. Came about 15 minutes early and she had me fill out a brief form and take off my shoes. Bring your products because she is more than happy to evaluate the ingredients and make sure you are using the correct products for your skin. She is noticeably a very experienced and knowledgeable esthetician and willing to offer her expertise and advice. After your quick consult, you change into a robe and lay in the heated and OH SO comfortable facial bed. She offers the choice of either letting you know step-​by-​step what she is doing or just letting you completely relax throughout the whole process. I opted for the first choice because it was my first time… and in my opinion, it didn’t take away from the relaxation.
My immediate thoughts were… «Why did I wait so long to schedule this?» and «I am for sure doing this at leeeast once a month!». The most stress-​relieving experience I have ever had… and to top that off, cleansing/​enhancing my skin/​face? Diviiiiiiiine. I think that EVERY hardworking lady deserves a facial from Head to Toe. It is just absolutely NECESSARY.
