Business hours on Unilocal, google, and their website say they should have been open till 11 yesterday(Saturday). THEYWERECLOSEDAT7PM! 7! What did people not show up for work? Is late night ice cream not in season? Luckily the Frozen yogurt next door was open. I’ll change my review if I have a reason to come back, but you’ll likely be closed.

Good, but not the best gelato and the prices are generally very high here. Portions on the gelato are small, one was tiny at just under $ 5 and I thought too soft and watery for my taste, order two scoops and sample first to make sure you like it, I didn’t enjoy the first two I tried at all. The coffee was good, but again pricey, and $ 3 for a small can of San Pellegrino crazy as well. The quality is there, but my coffee was also pretty watery and lacking flavor. Ok, but not worth rushing back to.

This is a tiny, little gelato shop in the Los Feliz area. Staff is friendly and are on stand by with lots of tasting spoons for you to try different flavors. The coconut was full of flavor and had nice chunks of coconut. The honey lavender was too mild. The mascarpone was too sweet. I would have liked their gelato to be more smooth and creamy. Pricing is as follows: $ 4.95 for 2 scoops $ 5.95 for 3 scoops $ 6.95 for 4 scoops parking — metered or limited, free street parking

Finally I found a real gelato place in Los Angeles! I’ve been looking for an ice cream place for a while and fell upon this one and definitely will be coming back here. They had a wide variety of different flavors there Collins were very fresh and the sitting area was very pleasant. Inside and outdoor seating.

Delicious! There’s a huge variety of flavors. I enjoyed the Ferraro Roche flavor and the forest Berry. I was able to sample flavors until I choose one I liked. It was very relaxing just eating ice cream outside at one of their little tables.

So happy we stumbled upon this place! Great Gelato flavors, very small but it was only us so we had plenty of space! I tried the Olive Oil, Ferrero Roche, Fig, and honey and lavender flavor. They were all amazing but olive oil won the gold! My friend and I shared a small and it was plenty, but the best of all was that the employee brought us 3 Italian sodas! So good! And best of all they were on the house! Good coffee too, they serve Verve Coffee which was my first time trying it and I was very pleased! They also sell pastries at great prices. You know those cake pops? 99 cents here. They cost a pretty penny at other competitors. Will definitely be back when we are in the area again. Guess a drawback would be that the surrounding area doesn’t have much. So just come for the coffee and Gelato and you are good to go!

Had the chance to try nearly all of the flavors, as the man behind the counter just kept having me try each one. I finally ended up with the tiramsu and strawberry with chocolate chips. I was treated to this gelato place, but the gelato we were served didn’t taste a lot like gelato, it was more like a creamier ice cream. It’s located in a cute neighborhood and it’s safe to walk in the evening, at least it was for us as we walked there after dinner. I thought the man who helped me was quite pleasant and was trying really hard to make sure I was happy with the flavors I had picked. The girl on the other hand, didn’t look very happy that I was still trying flavors, while the rest of my party had already chosen all of theirs and were seated outside consuming it. There is seating on the inside, not a lot but a few tables. There are two benches immediately outside the shop up against the windows and there are a couple of tables with ice cream color metal chairs. Something else I noticed, was there was a sign saying they serve Verve Coffee. Not Bad. I might return, I’m not in that LA area often and like to try other places.

Gelato Bar took me by surprise. The place is an exemplar of a gelato café with a perfectly-presented display case, well-chosen décor, and an inviting, cozy atmosphere. The coffee is artfully prepared. The service is friendly. The gelato is all-natural, creamy, and delicious. What more can I say? Go try it!

I’ve tried a couple of flavors here. Pistachio was great. Nothing to shout about, but good. Salted Caramel was a tad too salty /savory for me, but some people might like that. Hazelnut was my favorite so far. Cookies & Cream tasted a little gingery. Odd, I know, but I couldn’t shake it off. Parking is metered on the street, and the residential street have ones without meter. It sometimes says Cash Only, but the couple of times I’ve been there, they’ve always accepted my card using Square on their iPad.

Incredibly refreshing. I got two flavors: grapefruit and lime coconut. Just the little pick me up I needed. Came in right before closing and the girl was super nice. They have indoor seating too which is nice.

So surprised I haven’t heard of this place sooner! It’s right across the street from Alcove Café so it’s super convenient to stop by for dessert. The service is great and they let you taste whatever flavors you want! I got lavender honey and my friend got pistachio — both were amazing. We sat down to chat and the worker brought us free lattes! One was caramel and the other was a mocha — both were really delicious! Had it not been 9pm, I would’ve finished mine. Will definitely be back!

All I gotta say is «cookies n cream gelato». Wow it’s life changing! I was over at spitfire girl buying a birthday gift for a good friend when I had a sudden urge for an ice coffee. I broke down my options… alcove(not a fan), coffee bean(boring) then this place called Gelato Bar– staring my right in the face with a huge espresso sign on the front. It was hot enough where I though… maybe I’ll get an ice coffee and a scoop of gelato. But I talked myself out of it, so I thought! I ordered an ice vanilla latte, while the girl in the front was super nice making it, the guy behind the counter saw me staring at the gelato bar and asked if I wanted a sample. I tried the cookies n cream and I was done. I added a scoop of that to my order. Both the coffee and the gelato were amazing and hit the spot. Definitely one of my new favorite coffee and gelato spots when passing through the area!

If you are a Gelato lover this is a place you need to give a try. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Los Feliz. This place great coffee and other kinds of deserts too. If you live in the are or craving Gelato you can find something you like. As we all know LA has a lot of great Gelato places. This one of the best ones in town. I’m sure all have tried Gelato. Not all the places have or make the quality of Gelato of this place. I highly recommend this place to anybody who loves Gelato. The people who work here are super friendly and really care about their job. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars as parking can be hard. Hands down they are one of the best gealto places in town.

Had an espresso here. It tasted very good, no burnt taste, a little acidic, nice crema, good service and the person was really cool. I was really impressed by the espresso here. The only downside was they don’t have the carbonated water as a palate cleanser. That for me is that little extra that pushes a four to a five. Otherwise, very good.

I happened to be in the area and was on my way to Jeni’s ice cream, when I stepped into Gelato Bar, and found out that Jeni’s was closed. However, never fear, because Gelato Bar has some tasty fresh gelato. :) The person at the counter informed me that this place was family run, had closed 2 – 3 months ago to renovate, and now they’re back in business! They’ve been open for at least 8 years now in the Los Feliz area. I really enjoyed the strawberry chocolate chip flavor. Small size is $ 4.95, pretty hefty price tag though. There’s 1FREE parking spot right out front. :)

Stopped by for some dessert after getting Alcove Bakery right across the street. Cute mom and pop shop that offers gelatos and caffeine drinks. I got the ferrero rocher and the stracciatella. The ferrero rocher tasted just like the chocolate itself but gelato form. It was creamy with a nice flavor of chocolate and hazelnut. So good. The stracciatella gelato had really high quality chocolate chips, basically like fudge, and it had a great contrast between the chocolate chips and the creamy gelato. My friend got the hazelnut which had a bold nutty hazelnut taste. I like how they add a little crisp on top! The gelato was the perfect finish to my meal, and the flavors are definitely more on the bold side. Great place to stop by after lunch!

Cute little place for Gelato. The girl behind the counter was very nice in helping make my selections. I love the fruity flavors. The gelato was good, but the only place to sit was on the bench out front. It would be nice if they had more seating. But still a nice place to stop in for a quick gelato.

Affogato, avocado whatever you may call it, this stuff is excellent. I cannot believe that I have never visited this spot out of all the years in the area. In fact my favorite spot is located right across the street. Heck with staying for dessert just walk over here. But my one new discovery this year is affogato, holy cow I’m a big fan and not even fond of coffee. The staff here is more than generous and friendly. Enjoyed the vibe of this place, everyone is approachable with any question. What’s even more exciting is the various flavors available. It brought back memories of the old ice cream parlors when I was kid. Who would have thought such a place existed in such a busy and crowded Los Feliz. Putting these guys on my list of sweet life, thank you for being my first 5 star food spot of 2014, will be back soon.
