I have been a patient of Dr. Lim’s for many, many years. From the first time I met Dr. Lim he made me feel comfortable & I trust him totally. He does absolutely perfect work for which I never had any problems. I moved away for a few years & have recently gone back to see him. I had 2 molars extracted today (due to my neglect) by Dr. Lee (as Dr. Lim was away). He was also awesome. The staff is amazing & very considerate & kind. It was nice to see after all these years 2 of the nurses are still there! I have also, through the years, recommended many friends & I would highly recommend them to whoever reads this!!!

I had a similar experience as Angel V. I went in for x-​rays and consultation. My appt. was for 4 and after an hour and fifteen minutes in the chair they finally got started. X-​rays reviled gum and bone problems. They really wanted to sell me implants and not address the gum and bone problems. They sent me into a room with the «office manager» and she tried high pressure selling me on implants, deep cleaning and crowns. $ 15 000.00 and I told her they’re prices are more than double than the other most expensive quote I got. The 15 thousand was immediately discounted to 10 thousand. She wanted me to sign a paper authorizing the work to be done and told me it was just a paper that says she explained everything to me. I told her thats not what it reads. Dr Lim wanted me to start treatment immediately and was very pushy and high pressure. I hate high pressure car salesmen and thats the feeling I got from this office. Everyone including the receptionist was pressuring me to schedule appointments. If i’m spending this kind of money it will be to address my problem not get implants and deep cleaning for 300% more than many other dentists in the area. They said NOTHING about the cavities I have. This is a dental sales office in my opinion. I do have to say that Dr Lim and the staff treated me very nicely. I have dental phobia and they put me at ease. Great people but it seems it’s all about the dollar and not addressing the real problem. I’m off now for my 3^rd opinion.

Omg. God has truly blessed Dr. Lim and his amazing staff… I am the most nervous person in the world when it comes to the Dentist. Why the last experience was from Hell… I came here as a new patient on a family referral and I promise you today… I had a root canal and four other treatments at one time… No pain No Pain. Lord I thank you for faith and believing one more time that there really is an Angel of a dentist out here for me… Dr. Lim you rock Los Angeles Dentistry!!! I don’t have much money and I’m a cash patient… However I choose and pray that God will continue to provide for me to continue in your office to achieve the most healthy mouth/​teeth possible…
So long to the previous dentist that hurt the hell out of me. God bless you and your team and all that enter into your office… You are amazingly blessed with gifted hands…

State of the equipment, extra care giving to children and adult dental chickens. Parking is limited to street parking. Bus stop located directly in front of office. Easy payment options and reasonable prices. Accept most insurance and medi-​cal. Dr Lim is a great dentist, his customer follow up skills are both professional and personal, Dr Lim has called me and my children every year on our birthdays.

Dr. Lim is such a class act. Very nice pleasant respectful and overall very very thorough on explaining exactly what he is going to do but the front office is completely unprofessional. Very disappointed the Asian lady which run the front office has no clue how to be pleasant and courteous to the patients who are paying to be seen. throwing clip boards and not explaining what they are signing are definitely reg flags in my book. SPECIALLY the throwing clip boards part. Although dr. Lim is the exception, I refuse to show up to a place where I’m not getting services for free but paying for them and getting treated worse than a stray dog!

Got a second opinion from a different facility and turns out I only have 3 cavities compared to the 11 Dr Lim diagnosed me with. Glad I didn’t get those worked up. And I have moved out of the city and have been called multiple times and told them multiple times that I don’t live in the same city anymore. Don’t go here or their other locations.

Dr. Lim, Thank you so much for all your help. Dr. Lim, is a wonderful and kind person with excellent customer service skills. I had an issue with Insurance and he treated me and my daughter as if I were a member of his family. Hope to see you in the future.

Run as fast as you can from this office!
I was extremely disappointed by the staff and the doctor. I don’t think the right hand knows what the left hand is doing in that office. The only person that I felt was legit was the dental assistant.
I was given conflicting information over and over again. I was told I had multiple cavities and needed replacement of old fillings and needed a deep cleaning, bonding and caps! I have never, ever been told that I need deep cleaning, bonding or caps. I think this place is a scam and want to take my insurance company’s money and my money. I left without a cleaning after being there for 1.75 hours. I was asked to sign that I am requesting and authorizing the described treatment. I hadn’t decided that I was agreeable to all of the treatment, but Johanna wanted me to sign it anyway. I crossed out some wording, which she told me I couldn’t do. She said I could write any notes I had in the box above signature, so I wrote that I acknowledged what he was recommending, but did not authorize the procedures at this time. Johanna was annoyed.
I am not going to be pressured to have unnecessary work done. I am getting another opinion ASAP.

I realy appreciate DR Lim and his staff. every one is pleasant and professional .DR Lim has shown me nonthing but respect and goes over and beyond what I would generally exspect from a Dentist. After my much needed extraction it was nice to hear from him the next day to see how I was doing and called me back after hrs to answer my concerns and again called to see if I was
100% reffear paishents to his office. thank you DR lim and staff for all your great care.

A friendly, honest dentistry office who make dentistry as painless as possible. They’ve somehow made sharp metal objects in my mouth a pleasant experience.

I’ve been going to Dr. Lim’s office since I was a teenager with braces. He was actually the one who recommended I’d need braces. Now, married, I also take my husband with me. I’ve never been a fan of going to the Dentist, for obvious reasons (pain), but now as an adult I have less of that to worry about since I take better care of my teeth (with the help of Dr. Lim).
Staff here are always very pleasant and helpful. I like the fact that they don’t beat around the bush and let you know straight forward what work you need done and how much it’ll it cost (or whether its covered by insurance).
One thing I’ve always admired of Dr. Lim is how much he values his patients. He has always taken the time to call me every year for my birthday. Thanks for all you do Dr. Lim and staff!

If it was possible to give negative stars, that’s what my review would be. I have left less than 3 reviews in my life, as I only do so when I feel it is my civic duty to warn people against FRAUDULENT businesses. I wish I would have read the review below and I would have stayed far far away from this place. Please take the time to read this so that you can avoid the scam that this doctor will pull on you just to make some extra money. He has ZERO care for the well being of his patients and I truly hope he has his license revoked as soon as possible. I am following up with a formal complaint to the BBB and the Dental Board of California.
This Saturday, I noticed that my retainer was coming loose and I needed to have it rebonded right away. This takes about 5 minutes to do, but it is always difficult to find a dentist open Saturday that can squeeze you in. I called at 1pm and they had an opening for 2pm. Perfect, I thought! I came in 30 minutes earlier to fill in any paperwork so that I could be out of there as soon as the bonding was done. I was informed by the receptionist /​manager? named Johanna that they would need to treat me as a new patient and bill my insurance for xrays and a teeth cleaning. I informed her that I had just visited my dentist in August and I did not need to do a teeth cleaning yet. She responded that they would be billing it anyway so I might as well do it, to which I said okay, as I was desperate to have my retainer bonded and it was too late to find another office. I waited and waited and waited. There were 4 rooms with patients and only 2 dentists. The waiting room was full as if it was urgent care on a Sunday. I wondered, why would you schedule so many people and not be able to see them until an hour later? Seems like you care more about making more $ than the time of your patients and the quality of your work. Finally, they sat me down at 3pm (1 hour after my initial time). I waited 20 minutes for someone to come and do xrays (which by the way I did not need). Dr. Lim came over at around 4pm (2 hours after I arrived) to ask why I was there. I explained it again and he quickly bonded my retainer to my tooth (at the cost of $ 200 out of pocket). He reviewed my xrays and told me that I needed 3 CROWNS and 1 FILLING. This was a HUGE shock. How could this be? I just visited my dentist 3 months ago and everything was in great shape. How could I have 4 new cavities in 3 months? I was nearly in tears and overly frustrated for being there now almost 3 hours.
Then began the «teeth cleaning.» The other dentist came in and asked why I was there. I wondered why they would switch dentists in and out like that? It seemed extremely chaotic and everyone seemed confused, including the assistants. Dr. Lim came back and scraped around for about 5 minutes and said ‘great, we’re done!’. This was the most PITIFUL and the fastest teeth cleaning I have every had. I walked to the front and I thought, why do I have food in my teeth from lunch? No flurouide, no polishing, no flossing? That doesn’t seem right. Finally I complained and they put me back in the chair and had some new dental assistant finish the cleaning. She polished my teeth so hard that my gums went raw and were bleeding. I was deeply upset and she said ‘it’s going to hurt a lot because i am polishing’. Are you supposed to polish gums or teeth? Apparently they really do not know.
Finally, I couldn’t wait to get out of there at 5:45pm. (Over 3 hours after I arrived!!!). There were still patients there who were waiting when I got there. I felt terrible for them too. The following Monday I called to find out which teeth had the 4 cavities. The receptionist informed me that I did not have 4 cavities, I actually had 7 cavities. How could it be that I suddenly have 7 but when I was there in person I only had 4? Seemed a little off to me, especially since I had just seen the doctor in August and my teeth were perfect. 7 cavities in 3 months? Is that even possible?
I had the xrays transferred to my dentist and to another dentist I had visited while I lived in NY. Both dentists that I trusted. I didn’t want to go get 3 crowns done and 4 fillings without a second opinion. What did they say? I HAVE ZERO CAVITIES, I do NOT need any crowns or any fillings and if there is any work to do it may need to happen in 5 years, but not now. These are the opinions of two independent dentists that review the same xrays that Dr Lim took. HE IS A SCAM ARTIST and I feel bad for all the people who will spend money they dont need to spend and have painful work done that they do not need. His treatment plan would have costed me over $ 5,000. I am grateful that I thought enough to think twice and get other opinions from doctors who are not trying to swindle anyone for a penny. I hope that anyone who reads this will seriously think twice before going here. It is 100% a scam. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!

The personal attention to each of my family members is great. Its amazing how Dr Lim REMEMBERS specific details of dental health conditions of each of my family members across the years.

The experience at this dental office was pleasant, professional and extremely informative. The staff is top notch, warm and attentive. Johanna is engaging, sweet and makes the process of going to the dentist a smooth one.
Jonathan is the most thorough hygienist I’ve ever been to, most gentle and thorough.
Dr. Lim was very professional, informative and engaging as well building rapport with me.
The entire office worked seamlessly, clearly showing why it is a successful practice. I learned new information that no other dental office ever provided.
A five star experience across the board!

I am soo happy I finally found an awesome dentist! I walked into the office and was greeted by the front office staff immediately. My appointment was at 9am and I was taken in as soon as I finished my paperwork, which is great because I have been to other offices that have made me wait forever. My xrays were taken by an assistant that was very informative and professional and then I was seen by Dr. Lim who explained everything to me, answered all my questions AND made me laugh which is always a plus! Once my treatment plan was done Johanna came to talk to me about my insurance. She was so helpful and organized I was able to do the work that same day!
Overall my experience here was great and I would recommend him to everyone :)

I normally never write reviews unless I feel exceptionally passionate about a person, Doctor or establishment, and my experience with Dr. Lim was so poor that I feel inclined to write this review to save others from making a similar mistake that I made. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this dental clinic because not only did they lied to my face, scam out of hundreds of dollars, but they used cheap material to fill my cavities and ultimately ended up causing me to get a root canal.
I went to the Dr. George Lim Dental Clinic in Culver City in December of 2013 for a routine cleaning and a checkup. To my surprise, I was told that I had 13 cavities that needed to be filled immediately and 2 crowns to be put in! I know I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while, but how could I have gotten so many cavities within 1 ½ years? I was shocked because I am only 25 years old and take very good care of my teeth, not to mention that when I have a cavity I usually will feel so sort of pain, but I had no pain prior to this appointment. However, I was naïve and too trusting, and needed to get work done before the end of the year since I had already met my deductible and wanted to save money. So, I made the bad decision to get some of the work done during that visit and I got 5 «cavities» filled and 1 crown put in. A few days after, I began feeling a lot of pain in the tooth that my crown was on and was not a happy camper. Before I received my second round of treatments through Dr. Lim, I wanted to get a second opinion and asked my cousin for a referral. She highly recommended a dentist elsewhere so I went to see him and it turns that that I didn’t have 13 cavities, I only had 2!!! Also, the reason why I had been in pain was because Dr. Lim put a bad crown on and my gum was exposed, which caused it to decay. The decay had gotten so bad that I ended up needing a root canal! I was furious!!! I felt betrayed and was so upset that I had been scammed. DO NOT trust this clinic! All they want to do is make as much money and they will lie to you in order to do this. They are scam artists and your health is not in their best interest. Also, I found out afterwards, through my new dentist, that the material they used to fill my «cavities» was one of the cheapest materials in the market and actually very toxic! I ended up needed to get these fillings removed and replaced with non-​toxic, high quality material. I’ll never know if these were real or not, because Dr. Lim had to drill through my teeth to put the fillings in, so he could have created the cavity himself to make more money! He cost me over $ 3,000 because I had to fix his work by taking out the filling, he caused my root canal, and he drilled through teeth and put in fillings that I may have not needed in the first place. It blows my mind that there are so many positive reviews, this must be a marketing scam by all of Dr. Lim’s friends and relatives because he is the worst dentist I’ve ever been to in my life. They are all about making money and very good at over-​diagnosing. They told me they’ll work with me and give me all these discounts, which they did, but they billed the insurance up the roof and claimed all these issues through insurance that were inaccurate. Clearly, the more «cavities» you have, the happier they are. I am still so upset this Dr. should get his license taken away for fraud. if I could give 0 stars, I would.

Dr and staff are amazing! I had really bad pain with a hole on one of my teeth. Staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed to face my fair of the drill. No pain what so ever during the procedure. Highly recommend this place to everyone that has the same fear of the dentist. Thank you

I am a first time patient by Dr. Lim and he was highly recommend by an associate. I am very impress with their professionalism and courteous front desk receptionist. I was treated on a timely manner based on my appointment.

I came here last year and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I am used to normal dentist treatment with care and listening, this was not it. I was charged over 1,500 dollars for a gum cleaning that doesn’t cost near that at other places. They also told me I had 8 cavities. I went somewhere else and they said I had none.
The experience was something out of a scary movie. They pried my mouth open with screws holding my mouth open so I couldn’t close. (They did not tell me they were going to do this) They did this just to save time because they were closing and had two people working on both sides of my mouth. I was gagging and choking and they pleaded with me to stop just so they could get done fast. It was the worst I mean WORST treatment I’ve ever had. Anyone reading this looking to go there. PLEASE I advise against it. I still think about how horrible and painful and a rip of it was.
