completely Unacceptable experience, I paid and ended up with no food to eat. I ordered a regulaur Mongolian bowl. I then prepared everything I wanted in it, when I handed it over to the counter guy who did not wash his hands after handling payment. He then asked me what spice level I wanted, I then needed to throw away a few things that spilled on my tray. When I returned 5 sec later I discovered he added all the sauces including oyster sauce to my dish with out asking what I wanted. I then told him I can’t eat oyster sauce, he then in a rude manner said you walked away and we add everything to the dishes. I then told him that is not only unacceptable but dangerous or even life threatening to someone with a shell fish allergy. I asked for a replacement bowl and was told that I already used my bowl. I walked away to never return again.

I don’t know what ever one is talking about(they just like to complain I guess). I never waste my time with the works(miso soup sucks everywhere and white rice I can make at home). GETTHEENTREEONLY!!! The trick is to pick out the thin slices of meat not the curls(yes you will get a lot of meat this way!!!) I load my plate with meat(flatter pieces), tons of veggies, and put all of the spices on it!!! Yes oyster sauce sounds weird but get it(useless you allergic or course: D). I love this place. I literally go there to get it!!! If you looking for great fast food get it. If you want restaurant service go to a restaurant not a food court in the mall :) Hope this helps :)

I was not impressed by this place at all. The Works, which includes rice and miso soup, is ~$ 8. IMO the bowl here is a little undersized, PLUSTHEYASKYOUNOTTOPACK/COMPACT THEMEAT. What?! Isn’t that why we all go to eat mongolian bbq? To see how much meat we can pack into our bowl and claim that we got more food than our brethren? Also the selection of vegetables is very limited and they can only cook for one person at a time. So if you get there at a rush, you may be standing for a while as your frozen UNPACKED meat starts to defrost. The structure of the restaurant is very weird and everyone gets stuck at the corner between the meat and the veggies… design fail? There are better selections in the food court, but if you’re REALLY craving mongolian, fine go ahead. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I’ve been to many different Great Kahn’s, and this one is the worst. I’m not talking about the food… they’re all the same in this chain. It was the service. The cashier Asian lady was in a hurry. I mean, what’s the point… we get stuck waiting to get meat(trying to push all the meat inside the tiny bowl!) and then stuck again while the men stir fry. So the lady was barking at me for my order while the girl in front of me was trying to decide what drink to get. And while I was paying, she was already barking to the girl behind me. So she couldn’t keep track of our orders and I had to keep repeating my order. I got a fountain drink with my order and was disappointed to see that more and two-thirds of it was ice. Come on, fountain drinks already have a huge profit margin… Little sneaky things like this make me never want to go to this Great Kahn’s again.

This is a new restaurant inside the food court of Westside Pavilion. I think the concept of this food court joint is great. You choose your own meat(beef, chicken, turkey, or pork), your own veggies(tomato, celery, onion, mushroom, etc.), different types of sauces(spicy, garlic, etc.) and they top it with noodles and grill it for you on this ginormous grill right in front of you. I’m a picky eater so it’s great to be able to choose exactly what you like. I would give this place at least 4 Stars if it wasn’t for the management. The girl who was working the cashier was new at her job and was still being trained. The guy who was clearly the owner was snapping at her and being rude in front of the customers. She accidentally charged us the wrong amount so the guy voided the transaction while snapping at her.(Even though he «voided» it, I had a feeling it actually wasn’t voided…) I asked for water and he acted all impatient and snapped at me. When I went to go get hot sauce later, he told me, «there’s hot sauce over there. Go use that one instead» in a very rude tone. When the bf asked for change so he could tip the guys who were working, the owner refused to give him change. The experience was horrible and it left a nasty taste in my mouth and I wasn’t even able to enjoy my food fully. Shouldn’t you treat your customers with a little more respect? After all, we are the ones that keep you in business. Maybe he was having a bad day but if you’re in the front and you’re the face of your business, you shouldn’t let it out on your customers or your employees(especially in front of the customers). Also, when I checked my bank account today, the order he «voided» was definitely NOT and we were charged for it.
