I’ve used Greg’s three times over the past 10 years and they have never let me down. Recently, I carelessly damaged the passenger door of my almost new Audi A6. Estimates from two local, reputable, body shops were the same at «between $ 3,000-$ 4,000» with a repair time of 2 – 3 weeks. Both shops assured me that there was no way to repair the door without replacing it. Not only did Greg’s repair the door for much less at only $ 700, they did it in just a few days. Each visit to the shop whether for an estimate, a drop off, or pick up was a breeze and took minutes. They were professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Rarely will you ever come across mechanics/​auto body shops that won’t rip you off. Greg’s is the BEST. You will leavee with a smile on your face. Alex is professional and courteous. He will not bs you. I went to five other auto body places to have a dinged up door on our new green Toyota Corolla that my bf crashed into a wall fixed. All these other places were quoting us $ 1800, $ 1400 etc and they were making a few minor dents on the backseat of the driver’s side, side door seem like a major to total loss collision. Other places were saying that the car had to be painted all the way up to the roof. Adding more injury to the car when there really wasn’t anything. Just when we thought we’re going to have to spend a lot to get this car fixed my bf said «why not just take it down the street to Greg’s». Everything on 3^rd St. seems pricey so we’re both skeptical but once we went I was taken back. Alex brought his mechanic over to take a look at it. It wasn’t just some out of the air price he quoted. Everything was priced competitively fair (nowhere near the price others were quoting us) and included the time, labor and material it would take to repair the side door. Alex even took the time to explain to us the procedure to match the paint color and how they were going to fix it. Other places we took it too wouldn’t even do that. After we got the car back you can’t even tell there was ever any dents on the car. They matched the color to a «T»! There was also the metal trim that was hanging off the door and they fixed it for free. I love this place! I won’t take my green machine anywhere else.

Terrible experience. Not honest about timeline, car took more than twice as long and even when he said it was ready it wasn’t. Lots of wasted time. When I went to pick up the car he started screaming about my insurance company not paying him for a part. When I tried to resolve and get them on the phone he couldn’t contain his temper and kept trying to grab my phone and chased me down the street yelling about it even after I had paid in full. Avoid.

My experience with Greg’s was wonderful. They made the car repair experience as painless as possible. They are kind, thoughtful and the work they do is excellent. Not a glick in the process. Total professionals. It’s very very nice to be able to highly recommend a service, because I always look to Unilocal for other good experiences.

I had driven by them often, conveniently located near Third Street and Fairfax. When I went there, they were very friendly and gave me a quick estimate on my car. This place was also authorized by my insurance company. They are extremely knowledgeable and didn’t try to push work that wasn’t necessary. The car was ready on time, and not only that, they had extra paint and fixed my front bumper that had some scrapes on it for free! They also fixed my husband’s BMW — did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend these guys!

i pulled into a parking spot at an angle and hit a pole sideswiping my passenger door and three other panels around it. I was for sure that the door and the most adjacent panel would have to be replaced.
i was recommended Greg’s by my friend who scrapes up every lease she has, so i knew Greg’s would be the place for me, cause her cars look pristine after every fix.
Alex gave me an incredible reasonable quote for fixing not replacing the door and panel. he suggested a rental car company with a low day rate and arranged for pickup when i dropped off my car.
the car was completed on time and exactly for the amount he quoted. and the best part is it looks brand new! he matched the red paint on an 6 year old benz and i am simply amazed at how good it looks. you can’t tell i ever hit the pole. i LOVE my car again. thanks Greg and Alex!!!
once you get in a bender you realize how many auto body shops are in town… word of mouth is the best way to find a great company to work with. consider this Unilocal review word of mouth.

Greg’s is the best body shop I have ever used, included Gerber’s in Chicago which up to now I thought was tops. Greg and his son Alex are very professional and do an outstanding job at a fair, competitive price. We are already repeat customers (ah, life in LA) and will never go anywhere else. PS. Our old Bimmer has never looked better. THANKS.

A friend scraped my front bumper a little while parking… just paint. I took it to one place I found on Unilocal and they wanted to replace all the molding along with painting and quoted me almost $ 900! I took it to Greg’s for a second estimate and was delighted to hear that they would do just the paint and it would cost $ 275. Greg is a funny old guy with a thick accent, but the work they did was perfect. You can’t see that it was touched up and it was ready when they said it would be. Great work at an affordable price.
My husband’s car got a mysterious dent in the trunk at least 6 months ago. Several people told us that the trunk part would have to be replaced and painted and to expect to pay $ 1000 — $ 1500. It just wasn’t worth it to us, so he’s been driving around a dented car. After the experience with my car I decided to take his car to Greg to see what he would charge. He said that since the material was metal they could fix it instead of replacing it and paint it… all for $ 550. I had it done, and it looks absolutely perfect. It took a few days longer than they said because they were waiting for the toner to come in (something to do with the paint). Not really their fault, but Greg offered to get me a rental car, which I declined since I didn’t really need it.
I told my friend who’s car is scraped up that she should take her car there, and you should too if your car needs some work.

My mom was in from out of town and borrowing my wife’s car. Unfortunately, she scraped the side of the car against a wall while out shopping. While it wasn’t the worst damage, the scrapes/​gauges were very noticeable and were deep enough through the clear-​coat to require a professional. My mom felt horrible and wanted it to get fixed right.
I worked with Alex at Greg’s Exclusive Body Shop who was very friendly and accommodating. His price was less than a few other local shops that I got quotes from, and the paint work they produced looks great — it looks like it’s brand new. Not only that, they got the job completed very quickly (a full day quicker than they estimated) which minimized the inconvenience of being down a car in our household.
All in all, my wife is happy that her car is fixed and my mom is relieved that the work came out great (her driving privileges have been restored for future visits!).

Greg really did a great job on my 2003 Toyota Tacoma. I just have to commend him and his team. I was referred to him by AAA and their price was very competitive I couldn’t resist. Glad I did too! My truck looks like new and it’s 10 years old. Greg was very kind and polite, fixed my truck in 3 days as initially mentioned on my quote and was helpful in finding a rent-​a-​car. I highly recommend this body shop. Keep up the great work!

I love this repair shop. It is not your car dealer repair shop but neither are the charges. Being a woman who for reasons only known to man every auto repair shop takes advantage of… I have had the most competitive estimates from Greg. It would get a 5 star if they only washed it after the repair which is what most car dealers do. Though won’t complain since the charges are so much less than dealers. I trust and feel confident they will not to take advantage of me.

I dropped off a car there awhile back to get a quote, and instead he fixed it without my consent and overcharged me and told me I won’t get a better price than him, and there’s nothing I can do now anyway because it’s fixed. Wow.

The accident didn’t SEEM so bad, but cars are designed to crumple (mine did). The tow truck driver recommended this place, and since I didn’t know any better. I went along with it.
The air bags went off (acc to insurance adjustors $ 400+ each to repack), so for a 7 yr old car, that was enough to total it. But I LIKED my car.
Greg & his son were VERY helpful in explaining how the insurance co’s work, what happens when a car is «totalled», who takes title/​where it goes, etc. He was convinced my car could be repaired («if we need to move your car around our lot, we can start it & drive it. I wouldn’t tell you we could repair your car if we couldn’t drive it.»). And, he shopped around for good used parts from a trusted network of sources — while I waited & watched — to convince me that it could be done for less than the «totalled» value of the car. It’s an emotional thing to be in an accident, have your car totalled, and face some unexpected (and expensive) choices. He was calm, explained all the options — but let ME make the decision with no pressure. I saw he was restoring some gorgeous older cars, so after some hesitation, let him do his thing.
I’m still driving the car over 5 years later, and it still purrs like new. It’s now 12 yrs old, 140K miles on it, and looks good. My experience couldn’t have been better.
