We welcome the weekend warriors, the wee little riders, daily commuters, urban specialists, Mountain racers or enthusiasts, downhillers, fixies, track animals, beach cruisers, cyclo-​cross pros, or if all you need is two wheels to get you from point A to point B, then don’t hesitate to pay us a visit.

Since 2000, H&S has been serving the Burbank cycling community with quality service and a welcoming atmosphere. In 2014 we expanded into the San Fernando Valley, opening our second location in Granada Hills!

Business Owner

Shop Owner Rob Stotts is a very self-​motivated and driven individual, who at only 20 years old, opened the doors to H&S Bicycles Burbank with his father Bob and grandmother Alma Hathaway (The «H» in H&S). A lifelong avid cyclist, Rob set out to make a living doing what he knew best.

Rob has overcome many things in life to make the shop and himself the best it can be, most notably an over 125lb weight loss, to beat type 2 diabetes. His lifestyle change has now allowed Rob to pursue a masters pro road racing license, after 5 years of dedication to health and nutrition.

PORTER RANCH, CA
Stay away! I went to get a tune-​up for my high end road bike and it came out shifting worse than before I took it in for service. The shop itself is dark and dingy and they won’t let you observe as they work on your bike. Also, there was grease on my white brake lever covers when I picked it up. They cleaned most of it off when I pointed out out, but some would not come off. Horrible.

I came in here for advice on how to maintain my bike and instead of helping me out they ripped me off.
They charged me 100+ for a tune up package just to get sand out of my chains– which apparently is something I could have done myself with a ten dollar can of de-​greaser.
Good job, guys, maybe not a great tactic in the era of Unilocal.I don’t want my money back or anything for free. I actually just don’t want to do business here anymore.

I walked in and no one really tried to help me and when I tried to get help the guy wasn’t very friendly and kind of made me feel stupid for the questions I asked.

I called a half hour before the store closed I was not rushed off the phone and was encouraged to come in for my quick Bicycle repair. When I got there John and Adam (I hope I got your names right) offered additional information and tips to keep my bike in the best condition. This is my second time using this bike shop and I’ll continue to give them my business. Great service guys !

I came in for a quote about 2 weeks ago and the employee gave me a run down on repairs free of charge. I then came in the following week to get those repairs but they didn’t have the tires that I was quoted for. Instead of charging me more for the tires they did have they reduced the price for what I was quoted for and only charged for the installation of one tire and not both with my tuneup. All in all I couldn’t ask for better service. Highly recommended.

I took a bicycle tire into the shop to have a minor repair done and the guys fixed it on the spot and didn’t charge me a penny. I rate this shop very user friendly and would recommend them highly.

Took in bicycle for a tune up. The young man helping us was up front with what bike «Really» needed. I felt he was honest and not trying to add on extra work for an up sale. Highly recommend having any work done here. Their store is amazing with a huge selection of bikes and accessories.

Came in here to see about buying a mountain bike and just left because the guy was very unhelpful and I just felt like he patronized me. In short, I did not end up buying a bike here.

They seems to have a good selection of bikes. They did some service on my kid’s and wife’s bikes, which was done timely, thus the 2 stars. However, I should have shopped around as it was a little expensive. However, the prompt for my review was my visit yesterday, when I stopped in to see «mountain bikes» with 20″ rims for my oldest son. The sales associate told me that the smallest mountain bike made has 24″ rims. I told him my research shows otherwise, and that these 20″ rim bikes were mountain bikes, but only with 6 or 7 speeds (for young kids). He told me I was certainly wrong and that they must not be real «mountain bikes,» as such don’t exist (not that they didn’t sell them) Ten minutes later, I’m at Sports Chalet looking at 20″ rim mountain bikes made by Diamonback and Marin. Per
they sell the Octane 20, the Lustre 20, the Cobra 20 and the Tess 20. Per
they sell the Hidden Canyon in 20″ models. Thus, the H&S is either ill-​informed as to the industry, or they lied because they don’t sell the brands that make what I was looking for. Very disappointing, as I like to deal with local shops rather than the chains. Oh well…

This place used to be great. New management though has hired some very unfriendly staff, who gouge service prices. Very unfortunate to have seen this place change, since it’s location is nice. However, I promise you, it’s worth your time to take your business elsewhere. There is no worse feeling than making a big purchase and having the sales staff talk to you like yr an idiot — it makes the whole experience really unpleasant. Poor saps don’t know how to treat customers. I doubt they’ll last much longer. Don’t take your kids here either — very unfriendly and rude staff even around youngsters who are excited about their first nice bike. Especially their young manager. Pathetic place.

Horrible customer service. I walked in with a question about getting something to ride my baby daughter around in and one of the guys behind the counter didn’t even bother looking at me and mumbled a response. Didn’t even bother showing me what they had to offer. No advice, no helpful tips, nothing. One of the guys did tell me good luck… good luck to them keeping their business open with customer service like that. Or lack of. Hopefully they learn something from reading this review. Learn how to respect and treat your customers correctly. Two big fat thumbs down.

Always the best service. I feel comfortable in the shop. They have style and good pricing. I got a beautiful new Liv Envie Advanced. They didn’t pressure me, but gave me honest advice and direction. I will always shop here for things I need for cycling, big and small. An amazing women’s Tuesday night ride, too!

I went in to get my bike serviced after it has sat in the garage way too long. It turns out it’s also way below the caliber of bikes they sell at H&S. The guy working there was great, though, and added air and cleaned the chain. all for free — and without any sales pressure at all. If I do decide to upgrade I will certainly keep this positive experience in mind.

These guys are awesome! Came in on a Saturday morning everyone was nice greeted me and got me in right away; just needed my back tired changed cause I had a flat. Got it done in 10 minutes. :) every time I get a flat I’m going to them! Really cheap as well!!! :)

Rocks. Of the 3 service techs there, two came from the old shop located at the same location. Props to the new owners. Keeping my favorite location and people around, oh and thanks for moving the 3rd guy from the burbank shop over too — hes pretty bad ass too (albiet I dont yet know his name). These guys care and it shows. (and prices remain reasonable — thanks guys!!)

Love this new shop– very fresh and trendy. Although I am not like their typical customer (50ish, non-​athletic female), the staff have been very patient in explaining things to this newbie and readily encourage me to test bikes in the back drive. I highly recommend!
