It’s kinda cool to have a bus stop on a highway. Strange, but fun. It’s a basic stop — nothing too fancy, not much different from the rest of the Metro system. They’ve got express buses here, which keeps the route shorter by avoiding exits. It’s a north-route line along the highway. My only problem with this line is the lack of ambiance. It’s not a particularly good-looking station, and the area around it is pretty barren. It’s also takes a few minutes to get to from USC. Not bad at all if you live on the east side of campus(for example, Pardee, New /North, or Birnkrant), but it’ll take longer if you’re in the west(Parkside or Webb).

There was no skull-cracking when I was here, but the underpass/dark-alley vibe definitely gives off a strong skull-cracking impression. It’s a no-frills station, which is perfect. There’s decent lighting around the station itself, and everything feels new. I’ll get back to you in six years. How’s that?

It’s a convenient station, and it feels relatively safe(adequately lit) and well maintained. the schedules on the posted signs are easy to understand. from here, you can catch the Metro Silver Line Northbound into Downtown(or all the way to El Monte) or Southbound to Artesia. USC’s Parking Center shuttle stops there along its route.
