This is the spot that hooks up my fold-over and walk out with a clean cut every 2 weeks! Been coming here for a while, customer service is excellent, prices are great, and most of all they are skilled in what they do. I get my cut with Aurora, I highly recommend!

I’m not a person that splurges much on myself but I recently decided to get a haircut and dye my hair so that I could hide all my grey hair. I wanted to look my age. A friend referred me to Haute Cuts. They just had a re-opening and are under new manager so I thought I would try it. I was greeted warmly and Aurora helped me out. I knew what color I wanted but wasn’t sure what haircut to get. I needed something with minimal maintenance. Aurora gave me the perfect cut and I was happy with the price. The next day all my coworkers gave me compliments and told me how much they loved it for me. Will definitely be back.

Originally my husband got his hair cut here first and my husband is a picky person to get his haircut. Often times the salons and barber shops he goes to does not cut his hair as he specified or they just buzz his hair short when he ask for a trim. We’ve gone to many different salons and barber shops looking for that one stylist who will cut his hair right. Lucy cut it just the way he asked and he was totally satisfied. Plus she was SUPER friendly !! So on the next trip I stepped up to the chair to have my hair colored. I showed her a picture of the shade and color I was hoping to go for. She went to work with another co-worker taking turns. The 1st person I believe her name was Esmeralda she did the highlights and after Lucy took over to do the base coloring. I was going from a light brown to a brownish blonde. Although the color did not turn out as I liked mainly bcuz I am sensitive to bleach so she was unable to use bleach to achieve proper color. I wasn’t really happy that I paid $ 120 for color work that did not look close to the color I wanted. I still felt she deserved every bit and the $ 20 tip I left bcuz I am disabled and in a wheelchair. Although I am to get out of my wheelchair and walk she was SUPER caring and compassionate to help me walk over to the shower stations, styling stations, and made sure I was safe. Her compassion alone is guaranteeing that my husband and I will be coming back to her for haircuts, trims, and hopefully next time coloring of the right shade.

When I was little my mom usedto go there for her hair cut so I had been there befor but not for years. I had just gotten my eyebrows threaded next door and want a hair cut. My hair was down to the top of my butt when I walked In so when I asked them to cut and style they said it would b extra since my hair was long. The books she showed me for ideas looked kinda old I didn’t really see ‘The Perfect Cut’ I wanted but an idea from this page and an idea from that page let me kind of show her what I wanted. So she cut my hair perfect the exzact way I wanted it! I was so excited for the way it came out because of their and match ideas that I had showed her. I was so surprised she knew exzacly what I meant! I loved it! The only little thing that bumme me out was even tho it was shorter then when I walked in they were still gunna charge me extra for them to straighten it. I didn’t have her straighten it but I still love it. The price was great for the cut! I’ll be back!

I’ve been to Haute cuts 4 times. I kept going back because of the very low price for cut and highlights. But I was never completely satisfied with my haircut. It was never what I wanted no matter how much I explained. I have very thick hair and even though I got bobs It still felt heavy and like I had a lot of hair. sometimes the sides were not even and sometimes when I went home I would find chunks of hair that were longer then the rest! O well — you get what you pay for! If you want a cheap cut go to Haute Cuts, if you want plain highlights without any dimension and if you want a cut that’s not edgy or stylish you will probably be okay here. She is very nice, she offered me tea a couple of times, and always took me in right away.

This is a great little neighborhood hair salon. I’ve had my own hair done there, as well as my kids. We’ve always been happy with them, but make sure the stylist understands what you want done before they start cutting. Once I asked for layers and it was nothing like I expected. Try and find or bring a picture of an example if you can!

So here’s the deal: I walk into Haute Cuts on a Wednesday morning. It’s empty, only two employees — man and a woman — shooting the breeze, and they both stand up and stare at me as I come in. No «Hello», no «Good Morning», just the stare. As brightly as I can, I say hello and that I’d like a haircut. The girl employee huffs in annoyance and waves me over, then starts speaking Spanish to me. I tell her I don’t speak Spanish, does she speak English? «Yes, yes,» she says, and keeps speaking Spanish. A little spark of doubt pops up in my mind, but I try to get around it. I show her what I want in a book that even has a diagram of how to do the cut, with layers and bangs. She frowns at it — or maybe her magic-marker eyebrows were just permanently drawn in a frown shape — and flips through the book. Then she starts arguing in Spanish and gesturing as if to say«Well, which one do you want, *****?» Why is SHE getting annoyed with ME? I return to the page I just showed her and say«I want this one. Can you do this?» She glares at it a minute, looking confused, then points not at any of the details, but at the bottom length of the cut and speaks again in Spanish. She’s just not paying attention and she’s not even trying. Right then and there I know that if I stay for the cut she’s going to give me a 4″ shave job with no layers or bangs and I’m going to leave there in tears with the worst haircut of my life. I took my book out of her hands and told her that obviously I’m in the wrong place, then I left. She followed me out the door cussing at me and calling me names, and as I passed what I can only assume to be the owner, I told him he has a very rude girl. He threw a ‘sorry’ over his shoulder as I walked by and went back to reading his magazine. I went to Panache in Montrose and got exactly what I wanted, cheerful employees and all. I’ll never go back to Haute Cuts again, unless it’s to flip them off as I walk past, but you can certainly go if you need your head shaved or your eyebrows waxed off, something that can’t possibly be screwed up.

Wow! Normally, I avoid strip mall salons, especially when it comes to my hair. I get my nails done next door(not listed on Unilocal, but I recommend Nikki’s Nails Too) and one day I decided to give Haute Cuts a try. When I went in to make an appointment(which you usually do not need, depending on what you want done), a lady was walking out and she said, «You won’t be disappointed!» She was right! Lucy did my hair and I was really impressed. She was able to find the right shade every time I wanted to change the color. She was able to so without damaging my hair!(I went from blonde to black and she was able to get me back to brunette and my roots still aren’t showing 6 months later) The staff is friendly and very professional. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a new and better place for hair care.
