HEADSHOTS by Jason Mehrtens, the owner & photographer, shoots with a casting directors eye. He uses unique lighting techniques resulting in dramatic images for both commercial and theatrical use. By coaching his clients throughout the shoot without limiting their creativity, he shoots with confidence that they will get «the SHOT.»

Jason has always pursued photography in many aspects from photojournalism to fine art. With a prior career in social work and behavioral health, Jason recently transitioned from counseling a client to photographing them. He uses his active listening skills as a way to really bring out certain characters/​roles/​looks of the actors he photographs.
