Our focus: prevention and reversal of cardiovascular disease resulting in heart attack and stroke. We use the most advanced forms of blood tests and imaging studies to assess the health of patients’ arteries and risk factors. Did you know that a stress test on a treadmill only detects a 70-percent blockage of the coronary arteries? Yet a 50-percent blockage is enough to cause a heart attack! We have a state of the art medical device that measures the health of the artery lining, a key to good health. The PULS test is a blood test that tells you the age of your heart and your chances of a heart attack in the next five years. If you want a comprehensive and personalized workup of your cardiovascular system, call us today.

Michael J. Wong, M.D.,
Medical Director of HeartCare, Los Angeles
Dr. Wong is an unusual cardiologist. He doesn’t perform angioplasties. Instead, he focuses on prevention of cardiovascular disease. His specialty is Clinical Lipidology, or the study of the metabolic factors that cause heart attacks, strokes, and other forms of heart disease. Dr. Wong evaluates these indicators to recommend the most beneficial changes to your personal diet and medications. Relatively simple changes can result in major improvements in a patient’s cardiovascular condition.
Once a patient finds the right combination of lifestyle changes, medications if needed, and understanding of his or her own risk factors, chances of living in good health are dramatically increased. Heart disease is still the greatest risk for most people, and HeartCare is focused on reducing that risk and putting the patient in control.
