Hollywood Urgent Care

I recently moved to the area and needed a prescription refilled. I found Hollywood urgent care on-​line, which was located at 267 San Pedro Street. Upon arrival I found the office to be exceptionally clean and the front office staff extremely friendly and caring. I was seen within minutes of arrival by Dr. Azarian. His knowledge concerning my medication and condition was second to none. I would absolutely recommend this urgent care to all family and friends. Hollywood urgent care is surely a diamond in the rough!!!

I arrived at 11:30am on a Sunday and I was taken into an exam room immediately. A nurse came in right away to take my info/​vitals and the doctor came in within 10 minutes. Within another 15 minutes I had received an examination and a strep test, which was negative, and I was done and leaving the clinic. Great, efficient and professional people across the board.

By far my best interactions with the health system have been with Hollywood Urgent Care. I’ve never had to wait and they are very efficiently run. Definitely beats an emergency room experience!

Wow… I love this place. I felt awful yesterday, and have never had good experiences with walk-​in clinics but was desperate for immediate attention. The 5 star rating couldn’t be more deserved here. I was in and out in under 20 minutes. The medication prescribed cured my EPIC case of strep in 24 hours. This place rules. Thank you so much!!!

Super clean facility. Went in for a sprained ankle and was seen right away. Staff was SO friendly, nice and professional and made me feel very comfortable. This place is really great!

Even though I couldn’t get treated there the staff was amazing, and made sure I was referred to another facility that took my insurance. The establishment was nice and clean. Thank you guys for being so helpful, and courteous.

I will never go to another urgent care! I also may not go back to my primary care physician for most things. I walked in and to my total shock and surprise, they took me right into a room. The nurse was so sweet and friendly. The doctor– I don’t remember his name!- was incredibly nice and empathetic and really listened to my complaints. I was in and out in 25 mins with my prescriptions! They have their own pharmacy so I got to walk out with them in hand to begin immediately. No dealing with CVS– dropping off, calling to see if they’re ready, then going back and waiting in line. Thank you Hollywood urgent care!

Came here twice — once with my bf and again today with my friend and both times the experiences have been great. friendly staff and professional doctor both times.
Both my bf and friend ended up paying out of pocket both times as there were deductibles required for the types of insurance they both had. Prices are reasonable for the service and how quickly they were able to accommodate us.
Clean facilities, nice staff/​doctor and short wait time.

The premier urgent care facility in Hollywood!
Pros: Extremely clean and well designed urgent care, private parking is also a plus. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the friendly staff and you are treated and attended to immediately. I had my chest X-​ray done here today and the speed and quality of service prompted me to write a review immediately. Highly recommend this urgent care, I can easily say this is the best of its kind and you will be highly pleased with your visit. The doctor checked in with me within 10 minutes of my arrival. Also highly recommend this doctor on rotation at this urgent care, Doctor Michael. This facility is open till 8pm which I am unsure if the standard for urgent care but at first glance also seems accommodating as I had my X-​ray done at 6:40 pm. Overall, I cannot think of anything other than positive A+++ feedback.
Cons: none worth noting.
Novelty: Clean and very well unkept facility with private rooms and extremely friendly staff and physicians!

I’ve been coming here for a couple of years now and every time I do, it’s a great experience.
Dr. Micheal Akhondi is extremely knowledgeable and friendly; the whole staff is quick and efficient.
There’s literally NEVER a wait, I’m always in and out in around 30min, AND they have most medicine you’ll need on location.
Done and done.
Hands down, the best urgent care facility I’ve been to in Los Angeles.

I went to the Mall to return a Christmas gift and the sales associate was coughing non stop. I should have just gone to another department store location but against my better judgement, I went through with the exchange. The next day to no surprise, I felt my throat getting sore. Then came a headache. Then came the coughing and sneezing. Darn it, now I’m sick.
Went on Unilocal to see what Urgent Care was rated #1 and found the Hollywood Urgent Care location. After no sleep, I was there at 7:45am. (They open at 8am)
It’s a lot bigger than it looks on the outside. The staff was super friendly and I was the first and only patient checked in. A very nice nurse took my vitals. Then a young gentleman came in to tell me about the billing and payment expectations. (I have a deductible first health plan so unfortunately I have to pay out of pocket since I never rack up over $ 5000 in medical expenses in a year.) It was $ 125 for the visit and then any prescriptions that I wanted to have filled would be an additional cost.
In comes Dr. Akhondi. He is kind and personable. His bedside manners were exceptional. I explained my symptoms and he said he would check to see if my cold was viral or bacterial. After one look down my throat, yep it was bacterial. He prescribed 3 prescriptions and told me what each were for. He told me to drink plenty of fluids. I decided to purchase the antibiotics from them since I didn’t feel like waiting at a pharmacy. I paid a total of $ 190 and was out the door by 8:40 am. No hassle, no fuss, no waiting. It was fantastic.
After one day on the meds, I can feel the difference. I was able to sleep through the night. I’m very please with Hollywood Urgent Care. Now this cold will not ruin my New Years.

Being new to the city I haven’t found a primary care Dr yet and ended up needing to be seen many times. Though I’ve seen other drs here, I always go back to this place because
1. They never make you wait
2. the staff are simply wonderful people. Every single one
3.I trust this Doctor’s judgement. There have been occasions where I have 3 differing opinions from different drs and his always seems to be the most balanced and caring decision.
If you need urgent care, this is definitely the one to go to.

5 stars for excellent HOSPITALity (har har)
I have a Cedars-​Sinai doctor. But they took 3 months to tell me that I have a meniscus injury.
This place on the other hand, told me exactly what I needed to do and gave me ice packs. They beat out any large hospital I’ve been to. They are quick, caring, and explain things thoroughly.
Even the furniture and reading selections in their waiting room ooze coolness.
While reading the reviews, I noticed one or two 1 – 2 stars. If anyone gives them lower than 4 stars, consider it’s most likely YOUR problem, not there’s. Do you want to go a shitty hospital instead that will treat you like a number? Take ownership of your irresponsible and entitled behavior.

I call, hear a meth-​like chatter of «HELLOTHISISHOLLYWOODURGENTCARECANIPUTYOUONHOLDPLE­ASETHANKYOUONEMINUTE» and before I am even able to discern what was said to me, I’m listening to a shitty muzak midi.
When I am actually answered (once again with speed induced chatter) I ask if I can take an allergy test if I have taken anti-​histamines in the last couple days. She abruptly drops the phone «to find out if we do that» and when she comes back, says «yes we allergy test».
Thanks Sherlock, you’re an urgent care facility, you probably do allergy tests, I could figure that out and I don’t have a job at the front desk. I asked her if I can get an allergy test while on anti-​histamines, and was told that I would have to come in for a consultation to find out. Oh, a consultation is $ 125.
The whole point of a phone call was to see if I should even clog up this place with my foot traffic since I know exactly what I need and what may prevent me from getting it. Now I’m forced to drive over — I’m not paying anything until I actually catch a doctor who can likely answer a simple question for me, on whether I am able to receive any useful medical attention.
The reason I go to this place is because I feel like I have no other choice, as a person with somewhat of a life, and no medical insurance. I might not be looking in the right places though.

A long drawn cold brought me in to the clinic so that I might get help before my next 2 week tour with a group of Swedes would start. I was escorted in right as I walked in and given immediate attention. Within 30 minutes I walked out with a diagnoses as well as a powerful prescription for meds to get me ready to work again.
Due to my job, I have visited several clinics around the west, and this was the most pleasant one– hands down.
The price of $ 200 for a foreign resident was steep in my opinion, but seems normal in this country. And I was given all paperwork needed to submit to my insurance company promptly.
Now at least I know where to send my Scandinavians when they are in town and need help!

highly recommend. came in right at 8 am this morning (thursday) with a very painful infection and was completely done and on my way with antibiotics by 8:35. It’s very clean and courteous staff. I’m very happy they had my prescription there so I didn’t have to go anywhere else.
With my insurance the doctor seeing me was $ 30 and my meds were $ 25
Without insurance I believe it’s $ 125 to see the doctor.

ALLERGIC REACTION! Hives and difficulty breathing gave me a panic attack!

I walked in and was sent to a room almost immediately. As I filled the paperworks, my blood pressure was taken and a few other questions were asked. I was seen within 15 minutes.
I was given a cortisone shot and prescribed medication. I was given 10mg steroids and allergy meds. I don’t know if I was overcharged or not since they did not accept my health insurance. However, $ 200+ later, the shot really sunk in. The pain on my glute was real… But the hives and difficulty breathing began to subside.
Dr. Micheal took me off work for a few days and I thank him for that. I really felt like sh! t for the first 3 – 4 days. The meds were so strong I was nauseous and vomited a few times. On top of that I had major heart burn… Taking the meds with food was recommended but didn’t help. I had to take pepcid ac…
Highlight: highly drugged up and had to über home.
Overall: clean, efficient and good for urgent matters. I will definitely choose to come back if needed.
