Great club. Great vibe. Celebrated my wife’s birthday there, twice! A great mix of old and new hip/​hop and dance music. Drinks reasonably priced and no cover.

Went on a Saturday night. Arrived at 11pm. Kinda long line, but luckily are party was a small group of three, so we got in quickly.
The bouncers were pretty chill about everything.
It’s not tough to find, there’s a sign near the address 819 posted, says «L’Divine» or something like that. Literally next to a parking garage so you can’t miss that or the line outside next to it!
True, no reception once you go down, girls be careful when in heels!
Two rooms, first one is small with the light up dance floor! Playing the best old-​school and modern hip hop, also very packed! No a/​c I guess cuz man o man was it hot!
Other room is like quiet, lounge bar, no dancing goin on here. Boring!
Drinks are over priced, not strong at all. TRUTH! However, the bartenders are pretty quick to serve.
I’d go back, but not getting drinks here!

Line was LONG AS FUCK females were LESS THAN CUTE, crowd was FUCKING BORING, dance floor was… super fucking weak… I literally waited in line for about 40 minutes on a friday night, I got in for free walked the 2 rooms that made up the club and I HAD to IMMEDIATELY leave because the crowd was fucking WACK the dance vibe was fucking WACK and the DJ was fucking WACK! I want everyone to do yourselves a favor and just avoid this place AT ALL COSTS on a Friday night it is a FUCKING JOKE.

Everyone looked like they were 10 years old. The DJ played Britney Spears hit me baby one more time and Taylor swift. I was in shock, terrible experience for someone who’s visiting LA. Do not go to this club lmao.

Thanks to the security personnel, this place is going to receive the lowest review I can give thus far this year.
My recent visit took place over this past weekend on Saturday night. I was here to celebrate with some friends for my buddy’s promotion in Law Enforcement. Unfortunately I was unable to make it inside, due to my appearance. The first security guard asked me how I was doing and then proceeded to check my I.D. to verify that I was of age. He then gave me my I.D. back and stamped me. I proceeded to make my way to the front door and then the second security guard stopped me as I was calling my friend on the phone. I was denied access because I looked «too intoxicated». I’m Hispanic with a bald head and with naturally low eyes. I guess my appearance gave the impression that I was on a different level which I was not. Especially since this is a Law Enforcement function and I would be surrounded by a bunch of off-​duty officers. I then had to call my friend outside and we tried to sort things out but couldn’t do anything about it. I was embarrassed with the fact that we had to relocate to another bar because I was denied access to this place. I get profiled all the time but this particular security guard had something against me. Any who, I was let in into another bar with no problem. God forbid they deny access to anyone from the Asian descent because of their eyes. Very unprofessional.

I came to Honeycut for the first time on Friday! It was so much fun. I came back the next day. Lol jk different group of friends wanted to check it out so I went with them.
My roommates raved about this place and I see why. The music is good, drinks are pretty cheap, ANDDD they have a light up dance floor! The place is a little small though, but it’s so cute! There’s two rooms, one is a loungey area and the other is the dance floor. Oh and I forgot to mention that there’s no cover! Which is definitely another plus.
I will definitely be coming here more often!

Come ON people. Stop being so impressed by that GD light up floor. This place is ridiculous.
Came here with a group of about 10. We went to the lounge first. Let me say first: WE ARE NOT PICKY DRINKERS. We are a group that is there for the sole purpose of getting our drunk on so taste comes last. Half of us ended up switching out our drinks at the bar because they were SUCH garbage. One of our glasses came with a huge crack in it and it shattered the second he picked it up (I understand this happens-don’t think I’m using this to fuel my one star review).
I understand that bars need to be hip to keep people interested but this place is only using «specialty» mixers and alcohols and glass bottled sodas (I guess to seem cool and hipster?) and it makes their drinks taste SO bad. We had stomach aches from all the sugary-​ness. Their mixers weirdly tasted fermented like they had gone bad or something. Another reviewer mentioned soap. Pretty good description for some of our drinks. My friend was fed up by the end of the night so he ordered a basic whiskey coke and some how that tasted off too. Not to mention, the drinks were very weak.
SO then there is the club room. It was so tacky. I know everyone has a huge crush on their light up floor. But the ceiling is low and the room is so small that you feel like you’re in someone’s dirty mop smelling garage. The edges on the floor squares are all rickety so we were tripping on them.
The music was funky and different and the drinks weren’t too expensive so I give it one star. And no cover charge. Plus I didn’t have to wait in line because we got there early. If any of us had had to wait in line for this we would have been sooooooooooo soooooooo sooooo annoyed.
Maybe this is a good place to end your night instead of start your night. Then you’ll be drunk enough to not notice how bad the drinks taste or how dingy and cheap the «club» looks.

Jessica who is a ‘waitress’ there is the ugliest, most horrible waitress in the place! Don’t bother coming here unless they fire her salty ass!

Some weird shit. Asking the DJ anything is apparently off limits. All I did was ask when 90’s music would be up and I was hunted down by some random people telling me I can’t tell the DJ anything. They were going to kick me out. I wasn’t drunk or anything. Ordering drinks takes so damn long too.

If you’re looking for a place to spend a fun night, Honeycut is a solid option in LA. Although a bit small, Honeycut does have a super fun/​hip vibe. The lighted floors add to the ambiance and the drinks are strong (always a plus). It takes a while to get in though since it’s so poppin’ most the time.

A small dance bar underground, free pass, drinks aren’t too expensive, dance floor is cool, DJ is good, bathroom is clean. A nice place to dance and relax for weekends!
The biggest problem is that this bar is hard to find. It doesn’t have a sign or anything, just a line in front of a random parking lot. It’s also a bit small. Lots of people in the bar and it just feels crowded. The customers also need to improve. Too many couples, not many single ladies, which sucks.

Absurd lines for an average place with nothing spectacular about it. It’s not worth the hour wait in line and it’s not worth coming early for. The first time I came here I thought it was alright for a Friday, but Saturday… Never again.

Out with a group of 6 girls on a Friday night and we started at Perch and ended up at Honeycutt after. We got in line and were immediately let into the bar. There was no cover! It has this long hallway and no name on the front. I’ve realized places that don’t have their name on the front are usually the best.
Once we got inside we immediately went to the bar and got a round of drinks. We were able to get drinks right away! We immediately loved the music it was 90’s 2000’s and current hip-​hop mixed together well. The DJ was actually amazing! My friends and I danced the night away and met lots of fun amazing people. I can’t wait to go back to this place. It has a great mix of being small and intimate, yet has a great DJ, small dance floor, and great crowd.
The drinks were a substantial portion… I ordered the cranberry and vodka and it seemed like the size of 2 drinks. My friends ordered shots and some other drinks and also were impressed with the portions.
The bar definitely has a LA hipster vibe, but I loved every minute of it!

So fun! The cocktails are delicious and the vibe is super chill. We got there early and were able to snag a table. Once more people started showing up the dance floor got going and it was so much fun. The perfect mix of cocktail bar (for the boys) and dance club (for the dancing queens).

Very meh.
Here’s a breakdown:
Cover: None for guys and girls.
Drinks: The «specialty» cocktails were atrocious. I just remember they were all bad. One tasted similar to soap… the others — I don’t even remember because I probably suppressed it. If you want to see your friends making weird and disgusted faces, I guess you can give it a try. Otherwise, save your money.
Music: Remixed old-​school the night we came. Not a huge fan though.
Dance floor: Rather small, but it lights up! Gets pretty packed.
Also, just for your information, there’s no reception down there. Makes it hard to meet up with people.
Won’t be returning.

This is one of the most classless and rudest «cocktail bar/​dance club» in LA and would suggest avoiding this place if you can! After two terrible experiences, I vow to never ever set foot in this sick joke of an establishment mainly because of their terrible service.
I understand that Bouncers and doormen of clubs need to have high standards and establish order, but their Bouncers and most of their front door staff are complete assholes that live off creeping on hot women and bullying people who don’t meet their quota.
During my last time here, the bouncer was just chatting up with another friend the whole time and was completely ignorant of whether the line was moving and was only occupied on what hot girls were interested in going in. When my friends and I were finally at the front of the line, the bouncer had the audacity to tell one of my friends who was DD that he was extremely pale and sounded weird and should not step into the club at all. Even after a few friends tried to explain that was his appearance and the way he talked, this bouncer and his staff were being extremely ignorant and made up more BS excuses as to why our friend couldn’t get in! There is a fine line between determining if someone is drunk and just flat out being an asshole and commenting on someone’s appearance and speech mannerisms.
To make matters worse, the bouncer’s friend (who looked like a bouncer and probably worked at Honeycut) went up to my friend and told my friend that he looked retarded and that he should just leave and not even be outside the place and stop wasting everyone’s time. Of course my friend yelled back at the bouncer and the friend for being disrespected that way. No one deserves to be treated that way! To add salt to injury, the bouncer did nothing about this at all and was chuckling at the situation. After one of our friends complained to the bouncer, the bouncer claimed that he did not know the guy and was accusing my friend of lying and claimed that he would not let in someone who just cussed out his staff.
Again, I understand bouncers don’t have the best customer service or class, but this guy was seriously one of the most arrogant, ignorant, and pompous assholes who just loved bullying my friend. As much as I would have loved to say that this was a one time situation, their staff is extremely rude and ignorant to so many people and this was the last freaking straw. If you want a good time in LA from a respectable establishment, go to anywhere but here!

No cover. Awesome music. Fairly-​priced drinks. No reception.
The line may seem long, but it moves pretty quickly. We got there around 11pm and probably waited about 20 minutes in the line. It’s worth it for NO COVER CHARGE!
Once you go downstairs, past the bathrooms, there’s a lounge area where you can grab drinks and chill ORRRRR you can be like me and make your way to the other room where the dance floor is. PARTY!!! The dance floor lights up and can get pretty packed so be prepared to dance with people you’re not trying to dance with.
Don’t expect to get/​send any texts/​calls whatsoever once you go down there though. The reception is non-​existent.
Nonetheless, awesome place to go to get your drink on.

Honestly I have a love-​hate relationship with this place.
I love Honeycut because it’s definitely THE best dance bar in DTLA. There is a good crowd going and everyone seems to be having fun. The dance floor is super cool because the tiles are lit up in different colors – totally like the discos back in the day. I only like to come on Fridays because they play the awesome old school throw backs, but on Saturday the music is kinda weird… I can’t pinpoint exactly what kind of music is played but it’s just not my thing. In my experience the crowd on Fridays in younger and on Saturday it’s much older. So far, every time I came here I’ve gotten free drinks from guys so that’s always a good thing XD
I hate Honeycut because the line can get ridiculous – most of the time. I suggest getting here around 10:30−11 LATEST during the weekends or else you should prepare to wait 30−60mins. The line never really dies down because I came around 12:30 one time and we were still in line after 45 minutes – insane. After all that wait and you finally get onto the dance floor you’ll immediately be grossed out by the moist in the air because there’s a ridiculous amount of people packed in such a tiny space and everyone is dancing and sweating. Now that I’m writing this post and thinking about it it’s actually really nasty. But at the same time that’s what makes it fun, LOL. The quality of the drinks here are whatevs… I mean honestly we all know that people are drinking here to turnup, no one really cares too much ordering specialty fancy cocktails.
So that’s why I have a love-​hate relationship with Honeycut… but I’m still going to come here often because despite the grime and long lines it is a very fun place to just dance the night away.

Honeycut is probably one of my favorite clubs in Los Angeles. I’m not really a clubbing type of person but I would definitely come back here. I loved the vibe, the music, and everything about it. They played mostly hip-​hop music and even took it back to the 90’s! It was the best and I danced the night away.
My friend and I waited in line for maybe 15 mins on a Saturday night, which wasn’t too bad. I was surprised to read that some people had a problem with the bouncer because he was really cool with us. The place itself is a bit small and it got packed around midnight. The dance floor is small as well and you’ll probably end up dancing real close to someone and getting to them. I didn’t have a problem with this though, the music was so good that I just danced the whole time. People here are cool, I didn’t get a pretentious vibe at all. It just seemed like everyone was here to have a good time.
I will definitely be coming back every so often. Any place that keeps hip-​hop playing the whole night is a win in my book.

This front door lady thinks she’s entitled. This isn’t a hot club in LA but I think she thinks this place is. I’ve heard good things about Honeycut but she totally ruined it. She thinks this place is equivalent to Omnia in Las Vegas. Actually I take that back, all bouncers anywhere are nicer than her. She thinks her clipboard is powerful. I asked her simple questions nicely and all she responded with was rude answers.
My friends and I were tired of waiting so we agreed to just get a table and I think it was actually a reasonable price. We finally get to the front of the line where the bouncers check our ID’s and one of my friends was making small talk with one of the bouncers and since he was being friendly they said he can’t get in –_​_​– Since he wasn’t allowed in we decided to just leave. When I asked her for her name, she didn’t want to give it to me. The only reason why I asked is because I wanted to let her manager know that she ruined our first impression of Honeycut before we even got in. I get it, we all have bad days and nights but there’s no need to take it out on others that aren’t even trying to make your day worse.
Found out her name is Marguerite… and I’ve also found out I’m not the only one that thinks this girl needs to find a new job.
