Came here for a friend’s nye party.
First of all, it is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by warehouses. Plenty of parking since all warehouses are closed after 6pm.
This place is tiny as hell. A better word would be cozy, and that’s bc some ppl tell me to be nice. Upstairs has a patio which adds some more space which is a plus.
What is bad about this place is that there is only 2 bathrooms, not only that, the bathroom doors don’t lock. There are just ghetto signs outside the door saying occupied or not.
If you are looking for a venue to throw your event, under 100 ppl this is a decent spot as the building is sort of soundproof since you can barely hear the blasting music from the outside. The NYE event had around 200+ ppl and it was hella cramped.

Came here for an event. Ventilation was poor, very hot and humid inside. The outside patio felt as if it was going to collapse right under my feet. The parking was on the street and inconvenient for those late comers.

Arrived here for a really awesome hip hop blog’s event earlier than I probably should of come but I def got to check out the area and see what it had to offer before crowds of people came. First of all, for parking it looks difficult to find a spot so you should look to use an über or get dropped off somehow. Literally it’s in the middle of nowhere and the only way I knew this was the place was because there were guards outside. Once you get checked for your belongings and self you can go in and check in with the people at the front table. Inside there’s good amount of seating, huge dance floor, dj area, bar, and tables. Upstairs is a really chill open area with seats and just a real cool environment. It gets pretty hot inside the dance floor so the upstairs is a nice getaway.
Obviously depending on the event but… I would come back and have another awesome night here. Make sure you bring good company because you’re sure to have a damn good time in this hidden sick venue.

This review is months late but I had my birthday party here in January. It was AMAZING! From my first contact with Kevin to the amazing location and sound system everything was fantastic.
Kevin is incredibly nice, helpful and avery accommodating.
The venue location upon first glance made me a little uncomfortable because it was in an area of LA I was not familiar with (I live on the Westside). It was not problem at all. We even left cars at the location overnight and they were totally safe. We were able to hire a security guard through the venue who made guests feel safer with parking vehicles and just being in the neighborhood in general. The security guard was also incredibly nice and easygoing.
The sound system is fantastic and there are a lot of great areas for dancing. There is a bar setup and a really cute roof deck. It was raining during my party so we didn’t really get to use it but the space indoors was large enough to accommodate my entire party of around 40. There is an awesome setup for a DJ so I suggest having one if you can. Otherwise, just plugging in a phone is fully sufficient.
I would absolutely have another party here for my birthday or another event. As many people have stated, the venue is a blank canvas minus some fun party lights for dancing but for a dance party or a little effort of brining your own decorations I would recommend the venue for all sorts of parties or events.
My guests all had a great time and several of them have mentioned they would love to have to parties there in the future — in addition to saying I must it an annual tradition for my birthday.

Kevin was awesome and the venue worked out perfectly. Our original venue for our wedding fell through and we desperately needed a new one. Found House of Gods on Unilocal and called and Kevin asked us to come see the place that same day. He was always available when we had questions. The venue is a very DIY which is nice considering every venue out there makes you use their caterer or linens or dj… we were able to have the in n out food truck and an open bar with our own bartender. I would definitely recommend another bride who is frustrated with all the inclusive venues that cost a ton to give this place a chance. We loved our wedding :)

I had my wedding here in April and I can’t tell you how much I loved this venue! Everything worked out so beautifully, and the food truck was super easy to park. I can’t recommend this space enough for any event!

I have never been to this location and that’s because the phone call was so bad that I would never recommend going here. I called to ask general questions about the venue and weekend availability and I was meet with derisive comments with ZERO provocation. I was asked if I was stupid… if I drive an economy car (wth?) And then was told how stupid my questions were… awesome. I had barely spoken. Please, there are so many venues available in LA, don’t go here. Let this jerk go out if business. I have NEVER been spoken to like this by anyone before. Don’t patronize this business!

I’ve worked with this venue on multiple music events and it was a great experience every time.
It’s really easy to get screwed over when booking an event venue in LOS ANGLES as these venue owners try to come up on money any way they can. The owners and managers here are genuinely interested in the renter having a great event and experience at a very reasonable cost.
They work with you and can provide, lighting, sound and a beautiful upstairs patio.
Not only have I booked this place for events but I’ve come here for events thrown by others and each one was really fun and hassle free.
Lots of parking, private artist green room, upstairs patio with heating lamps and furniture, lighting, beverage area, seating booths, and sound. What else can you ask for.

Great venue for multiple kinds of production: film, music, art. The owner is a great guy, he’s taking care of house of gods very well and I’m looking forward to future events. Parking can be tricky to find but not impossible. The warehouse is in an area far away from any homes and is great for loud music. But is close to many fwy: 10, 5, 101, 60. Go check it out.

House of Gods is great for a number of reasons, the most important is #4 so skip down if you don’t want to read a lot of praise.
Firstly, it’s an awesome space and can be turned into just about anything you’d want. I shot a movie here and we got three different locations all at this spot. It’s a warehouse on the main level with a stage and all kinds of lighting possibilities. It can get a little muggy inside on hot days but at night it’s a dream. There is also rooftop access where you could throw an awesome party or BBQ. Also on the upper level is a private apartment and offices, which are pretty awesome.
Second, it’s completely private on the weekends. The street is completely empty and there is plenty of space to park. The nearby businesses are busy during weekday work hours but nights and weekends are probably when you’d be booking and event here. You can be as loud as you want and really there is no one around to complain. I’ve never seen any crime element on the nearby streets and I think it’s a very safe spot.
Third, they have an amazing sound system and they can accommodate just about any setup you might need. You can even play music on the roof. I had a number of bands play and we recorded a live show and it came out amazingly well. They even have a projector if you wanted to screen a movie. Plus they have strobes and lasers so you could have an amazing dance-​a-​thon.
Fourth and most importantly, the owner is one of the best people I have met in Los Angeles. Gabor couldn’t have been more accommodating to me and my crew. He literally blacked out several windows and finished building a stairway so that the space could be to my liking for my shoot. He had all the mics and cables and music gear I could ever want. He even mixed our live audio and manned the control board as we shot. As I was scouting locations I was convinced I wasn’t going to be able to find a good, honest person in this city, but Gabor proved me wrong. His service and attitude are worth more than any space could ever be.
House of Gods is a great spot to film, perform, party and even relax. I couldn’t recommend it any higher. It’s a wonderful venue!

I came here for a Fashion Show event just 2 weeks back and my first impression was, «Hmm. ok interesting venue and location…»
[[ Parking ]]– street parking only. It’d be smart to stay in a well lit area for when you’re exiting the place.
[[ Location ]]– The building itself resembles the Flat Iron in NY since it’s a corner space. There’s 2 levels to it including the open roof which seems very nice for a summer night if well decorated. The inside feels very much like a warehouse or garage. Other than having absolutely no ventilation, the inside of it decent sized for a group event like the one I attended.
There’s 3 stars but really I’d give this building a 2.5 if I were looking for a place to book a venue. Location is key and there isn’t much in the area or anything amazing behind doors to make this a place to recommend our come back to.
