First off, this review is for Adriana Rodriguez, my saving grace when it comes to my hair style. And this review is about 2 years sand a day late.
I came to LA with zero knowledge on who/​where I could find MY hair stylist. My hair is one of my particulars. It’s a major part of my self-​expression. That said, I needed to find the one person who wants to use my head of hair as a blank slate for endless artistic possibilities. Adriana definitely became that person for me immediately. I had a rat tail when I first came in to see her — actually, I was referred to Adriana because she knows her way around ANY haircut including women with rat tails. Rare find.
For the last 2 years, Adriana has been creating looks for me that I love and I plan to keep it that way indefinitely :] big thanks to her for always keeping me feeling beautiful, fresh and funky. I must not leave out that Adriana is not only great at her craft — she is so kind and funny!

Adriana’s been cutting my hair for over 10 years. I’ve only cheated on her once and I immediately regretted it. I’m not too adventurous: my hair’s stayed long and layered for most of that time, but Adriana’s kept me looking great and raking in the compliments. She took me red when a role required it and patiently answered a million of my questions. She’s smart, funny, and really really knows what she’s doing. Can’t recommend her more highly!

Adriana Rodriguez is the absolute best! I had kept my curly hair long my whole life then cut it off a year ago. It’s been so fun experimenting with different short hair cuts and styles with Adriana. When I’ve described what I’ve wanted she always gets it spot on. When I say do whatever you want, it always looks amazing. Never a bad cut with Adriana!

Ladies and Gents… this place deserves every single Unilocal star and more.
I’ve had my share of haircuts — the good, the bad, the ugly… it’s quite the roller coaster of emotions. Let me just say Christian King deserves the medal of FABULOUS hair stylist!
My hair is thick, straight and sits flat with no volume — giving my hair a compete opposite look that doesn’t reflect my personality. I came in on a weeknight to see Christian and he worked his magic. My hair got numerous amounts of compliments and it felt to healthy after being pampered in the chair for an hour.
It’s grown out since my last cut, but it never lost its pop of awesome. I can’t thank you enough Christian for the new look! I very highly recommend him to anyone on the fence about switching hair stylists… you definitely won’t regret the decision!

I’m sooo glad I’ve found Adriana Rodriguez — she is the only person I will let cut my hair now! She’s amazing & totally understands curly hair. I always get an awesome dry cut from her! She’s great to talk to, as well — such a cool girl :)

i have been going to adriana for about 2 years now and haven’t been disappointed in a cut or color. i have wavy hair and was interested in trying out dry cutting and found adriana in my online search. i have gotten wet cuts from her as well and those are equally as great.
my hair is dark brown– adriana has done reds on me (my current) and we’ve done balayage as well (really great natural looking highlights).
overall, she is a great stylist and really fun and easy to talk to as well (thumbs up for a great personality)!

Aw man I’ve been going to Adriana for almost 20 years now! She is my girl! I typically spend 0 – 1 minute in front of the mirror each day because I can always count on my hair being on point. That is a bold statement coming from a minimalist with thick, coarse and wavy hair. She introduced me to the undercut and a world of no fuss looks. And when I was «too busy» to maintain a look recently, she called me out! I love her forever and aside from her hair whispering skills, she is a wonderful friend. I always walk out with the biggest smile on my face, full of inspiration and ready to take on anything!

I’ve been following Adriana from Echo Park, to Glassell Park, to Downtown at Industry. Thank you JESUS she is only a block away from my office now so I can get my hair cut on my lunch hour. And that’s all it takes, because it’s a no-​fuss dry cut which means I don’t have to be shampooed and sit through a wack blowout and walk out with «commercial hair» (no offense, blowout-​loving ladies, it’s not for me). Adriana knows what’s up, she cuts my fine, bleached, long layered hair in its natural habitat which is a little messy, a little stringy/​wavy, a little all over the place. I get my glass of wine, she makes me laugh, and I walk out with time to get a taco across the street and my hair looks DOPE. I’ve referred a few friends to her and they have thanked me for it.

I’ve been going to Adriana for a few years and would not think of going to anyone else! She is totally beyond talented, has lots of experience, and just gets it. She is great listener and really gives you exactly what you want. I always love love love my hair when I leave the chair :) I have kind of thick hair but she’s really great at just going for it and making it look awesome with piece-​y layers that always looks so effortless and fun. I usually need minimum product since the cut is so flattering and precise. I can just roll out of bed to a pretty good hair day :) And she’s great with bangs! I totally recommend seeing her for great hair and a great experience. She is super sweet!

Been going to Adriana R for almost 3 years now and she does my hair so amazingly well. I am Asian and have straight hair and she is really thorough with her work and I always love chatting with her.
She keeps up with current trends and I would say is ahead of trend too.

I can’t say enough good things about Adriana Rodriguez as a person and as a stylist. She has an intuitive talent that she has clearly developed over many years of working in the field. In my own case she has given me much more than an amazing haircut and I feel so lucky to have found her. She’s my stylist from here on out!
For many years I dreaded going to get my hair cut because stylists did not listen to my requests. I’m queer and I have a sense of style that blends elements of masculinity and femininity. When it comes to my hair I like to have part shaved and part longer. For many years stylists disregarded my opinion about my own appearance and tried to «soften» my hair by making it more feminine and pressuring me to grow my hair out because in one stylist’s words «why on earth would a woman want to look like a man!» I would leave the salon or barbershop feeling emotionally and financially drained.
When I met Adriana I left all those bad experiences behind. She’s a great listener and she takes all of my needs and concerns to heart. She was the first stylist I met who took my personal style into account and the results were brilliant. I would recommend her highly to anyone, whether you want a more conventional look or something queer, punk, or hip-​hop, she will work with you to make sure you get it.

I have been faithful to Adriana Rodriguez for 5 years now even though we have not lived in the same city that entire time. When she was still in NY, I lived in LA and when I moved to NY, the weekend I arrived was her bon voyage back to LA. Still, I don’t trust anyone else to touch my hair and lucky for me, she is so skilled at her craft that her cuts grow out beautifully and last me the 6 months between visits.
I have very thick, somewhat coarse, Asian hair and I do not want to spend any time styling it. Adriana has given me great full layers that move and bring out my natural wave without razoring my hair to death. For most of my adult life, I’ve played it safe with long layers — what she calls mermaid hair — but now I have become so confident in her abilities that I’ve gone through some major hairstyle shifts. She’s seen me through blunt bangs and two amazing perms — one a la 1993 Mariah Carey and then a more modern shoulder length wave. People stop me on the street to compliment my hair. It’s amazing to know that I can play and try new things and that I’ll be in great hands, too!
I’m writing my review now because I am so excited to visit her in her new chair at Industry DTLA and I’ve just booked my flight to LA :)

This review is for ADRIANA RODRIGUEZ. She is hands down the best hairdresser to ever do my hair. She has been cutting my hair for ten years! When she was in NY for a spell, I made sure to find her on my visit and have her give me a fresh cut. When I was living outside of L.A. I always made sure to see her on my visits.
My top five favorite things about Adriana and her cuts:
1. They grow out amazingly well. This means I can go three months between cuts because it always looks good in all the growing out phases.
2. They are low maintenance. She knows me. She knows I’m not a person who wants to spend time on my hair. I want it to look good even just rolling out of bed. Her cuts deliver!
3. They are on trend. I’m a 40 year old mom and she always makes me feel young and fresh. No «mom hair» here!
4. I love that she offers a dry cut. That’s great for me for two reasons– It’s more affordable and takes less time. As a mom of two, I don’t have time for a long salon day.
5. She cuts my boys’ hair too. She charges next to nothing to cut their hair and she does it so well. They always look so great afterwards. And my youngest is such a challenge in the chair, but she works with him and is miraculously able to cut his hair. It’s so nice to be able to get all of our hair cut by the same person in one visit.
Lastly, I just adore her as a person. She is so much fun to talk to. She’s a wonderful person who is always up to something.

I’ve been seeing Adriana for a few years now and can’t go anywhere else. She is kind and talented. I have many cowlicks and some natural curl that can work for me or against me. I always opt for the dry cut so the changes suit my hair perfectly. Quick and affordable, I’ve never been one to spend all day at the salon, but want reasonable prices to go often enough. I totally recommend Adriana!

When I was living in NY and traveling for work, I would visit LA and noticed that many of my friends had great haircuts. They all had Adriana Rodriguez in common! So, when I finally moved to LA, I started getting my hair cut by Adriana myself! (I’ve been seeing her since the beginning of 2015.)
Adriana is great — she listens to what you want and she’s also very fun and has exciting suggestions. She also does great color. She’s super sweet and perceptive. If you’re down to talk during the cut, she’s down to talk. If you wanna just close your eyes and relax, she definitely won’t jabber on just to make conversation.
I would also like to make a special plug for the overhead lights above the shampoo station at Industry — they mimic the actual sun! So your stylist gets to see what your hair will look like outside, not just under the indoor lighting.

Adriana Rodriguez has been cutting my hair for years. She always knows just what to do and for someone like me who never really has a hair plan that’s great.
She is not only a talented professional but also warm and affable. It’s always a pleasure to visit Adriana for a haircut and the Industry is a great, easy place to make it happen.
I wouldn’t think of going to anyone else for a haircut and would highly recommend Adriana to anyone out there looking for style provided by the hands of a friendly lock clipping champion.

I’ve been going to Adriana Rodriguez for 3 or 4 years now. I’m a natural brunette with thin fragile hair and it’s amazing how healthy my hair has been since I’ve started working with her. In terms of color she has taken my hair darker, given me highlights, and most recently taken me all the way to platinum! She helped me grow my hair 6 inches and then of course I had her chop 4 off! I’m someone who likes a low-​maintenance style and Adriana is always able to give me a fresh new look that requires minimal upkeep. Her dry cuts are fantastic (I don’t know how she does it but it’s amazing) and you get an instant picture of what the cut will look like on your actual hair texture.
I again I have to emphasize how healthy my hair feels despite all these changes and I really credit that to Adriana. She will never make a choice that might be damaging or not turn out the way you want it. She is a clear communicator and always makes me feel confident in her skills. I have never been disappointed!
I will also say I love the new space at Industry LA, it’s comfortable and spacious and it’s easy to book online with Adriana and get the time and date that works with your schedule.
Can’t say enough positive things about Adriana!

Hannah Leah has been my hair guru for a couple of years now and I only go to her. My favorite quality she carries while doing my hair is her eye for detail. If I show her a picture of a celebrity or whoever and ask for that exact cut/​color she won’t hesitate to give me her opinion whether it’s good or just simply sincere. She’s incredibly detailed and for example I wanted to cut my hair fairly short one time and showed her a photo reference and the first thing she said was «your neck is much longer than hers so keep in mind that it will appear even shorter.»
Most hairstylists don’t pay enough attention to detail and you go home unsatisfied but a true hair guru like Hannah Leah knows what works best for you always.

I’ve known the hair magician Hannah Leah since I was about 13, and my favorite hair cuts I’ve ever had have come from her. Not only is she extremely skilled, but I’ve never felt more comfortable with someone while having my hair done. You can tell from the moment you sit in front of her that she has such a passion for what she does, and that she truly loves making people feel like their most beautiful selves. To be honest, that has to be my favorite part of her doing my hair, that she really is so happy getting to show you how amazing you look. I remember being 15 and having butchered my hair by thinking I could cut it myself. She turned the mess on my head into a beautiful pixie cut that had me walking away feeling like a lovely wood sprite, when I’d walked in looking like Rod Stewart. Stop what you’re doing and make an appointment with her!
Long story short: treat yo self and let Hannah Leah work her magic on you, you will not be disappointed!

Must book with DARINE! She’s so talented! I love having a light ombré /​balayage look, but being part Asian, I’ve only had bad experiences and leaving the salon with an orange-​ish color. When a girlfriend referred me to her, I was a little nervous, but I decided to take a chance. Let’s just say, It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. She has you leaving more beautiful and confident! Aside from her talent, Darine is also super cool with this amazing energy!
PS– Be ready to hear compliments left and right after she works her magic on you!
