This place doesn’t even have a working website. Very unprofessional.

When I first walked into ioLA, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. But then the little details started to creep in and I realized that it wasn’t what it seems. I have seen the owner Chris Gartin several times, but never had the opportunity to shake his hand or introduce myself. Chris is the kind of guy who will see you from afar, size you up and determine whether you’re worthy of his time. Apparently, I was not worthy of his time.
The other details include:
* Cheap extension cords run between tables. There are no real plugs at the tables.
* Uncomfortable chairs.
* Dirty bathrooms
* No toilet paper dispensers (you have to reach behind you to grab a roll)
* No venting in the bathrooms (gross!)
* Dirty kitchen. Apparently there isn’t anyone to clean up — I had to wipe down the counter while I was there because I was so grossed out.
* No coffee… uh what?
* Expensive parking!
* Snotty owners (I can’t stand people who are full of themselves)
* No on site technicians to help with TV — computer input systems in the conference rooms.
* Overall, it felt cheap and dirty.
Anyway, that’s the jist of it for me. If I were you, I’d think closely as to where you’re spending your money and what value the space and it’s constituents can provide to you.

io/​LA was a disappointing experience, especially after getting such a good impression from the start. After being a member for a few months, heard grumblings from other members about last minute invites to events and general disorganization within the company.
Their lack of professionalism was experienced first hand when I was charged an over payment of my monthly membership on my credit card. I was promised a refund for the «mistake» but it never appeared on my bill, even after checking for 2 months. I contacted their business manager and only found an «interim» manager who said the last manager abruptly left the company. The interim manager wasn’t much help, nor did she seem to care about answering any of my questions or resolving my issue.
Well, after countless phone calls about my over charges, nothing has been resolved! The owner does not return my calls and emails, and I have since discontinued my membership. And the $ 195 «refundable deposit» they state in their contract to be returned to you after you discontinue your membership? Consider that money down the drain, it’s not been returned back to me.
I can go on, but I don’t think I need to. Stay away, stay far, far away.

Great area to work at. You can get there using the redline, get off at Hllywd/​Hghlnd and walking 3 block-​ish west through the chaos.
They had social media week here a few weeks ago, and that is what makes IOLA one step ahead of its non-​peers. I find this place more expensive than other work spaces, but there seems to be more people around to bounce ideas off of, which is important.

What a great co-​working space with friendly staff and lots of opportunities to interact with other members.
